Late arrivals are welcome!
As for backstory leeway, I have the details for the last adventure and some of the stuff about the town if you want to check it out, seeing as you were from there.
Edit: I'm trying to keep the actual storyline a little vague right now, as I plan to run the precursor adventure as well. (Possibly with the same players, who knows?) But I can give the details about the town and a little more in information on the story if needed.

| Sevren Aldor |
Sevren's ready to go! A tiefling who loves playing the games of political intrigue in order to achieve the greater good. He disdains getting his hands dirty adventuring but does it when he has to. After all, we can't have vampire spawns just killing innocent citizens all over the place.
I couldn't quite make the stats fit entirely with the character concept (low int doesn't work well but I had to put that 9 somewhere and I already put the 5 in strength :P) but I took proficiency in history to make it feel like a better match.
Sevren came to Stormfall with little to show for himself and the heavy stigma of infernal blood weighing down his chances. But his silver tongue and knack for rooting out those who would exploit his new city won him favor in the eyes of its rulers. He played the games of court, working his way up the ranks. He played the game because its winners set the rules. And the right winner can keep corrupt merchants from driving a woman out of business just because she has horns. The right winner can ensure that a homeless widow and her son are never murdered for their shoes. And he can see that orphans are given shelter and opportunities no matter what blood they carry.
And over time Sevren grew accustomed to the niceties afforded by the courtly life. He enjoyed his books, his soft clothes, and his witty repartee with the players in the games of nobles. But when he heard of that wretched cults activities in Lothairsfall, he reluctantly packed up and hit the road. Despite his distaste for the grime of combat and chaos of battle, undead epitomized the anti-social parasites he so despised. And the victory he and his allies achieved provided some useful political capital upon his return to Stormfall.
| Merek Montague |
@Bookrat: Leon could be just the Paladin. He's social and a diplomat's son, so its quite plausible that he accompanied his father on a trip, during which he met Merek.
I really like that and it would give an intant "in" for both our PCs. Or at the very least, something for us to build upon. :)

Today is the final day for submissions. Hope everyone has been keeping up!
And to Fireforge, the HP dice have not favored you. I'm going to say keep them where they are for now, play it as rolled.
I polished up some of the background and personality info so you could get a better idea of the character.
