Hello Everyone! Back from a few months break in gaming and ready for some action...
This is an oldy but goody. It's a perfect PBP module, and I'm not sure it's ever offered on the boards before! Carvival of Tears...
It's for 5th level and you don't have to bother creating a character yet if you don't want to. We can do that later on discussion board. Just tell me who you are and what you think would make this module fun for you?

![]() |

I'd stick to Pathfinder rules for this one me'thinks.
Wow, Light interest? That surprises me. A bunch of townfolk getting graphically mutilated by crazed Carnie Ice-Fey??
I'm willing to do another module if we want, though I think I'm in the mood for Horror! And sort of sick of the Adventure Paths:( Anybody have one they are just DYING to play?

OK, if it's a horror movie I'll bring the dumb jock... err, barbarian.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
=================================================
Birthmark You were born with a strange birthmark that looks very similar to the holy symbol of the god you chose to worship later in life. This birthmark can serve you as a divine focus for casting spells, and as a physical manifestation of your faith, and it increases your devotion to your god. You gain a +2 trait bonus on all saving throws against charm and compulsion effects.
Berserker of the Society
Your time spent as a Pathfinder has taught you new truths about the origins of the your rage ability. You may use your rage ability for 3 additional rounds per day.
Fast Movement (Ex) Your land speed is faster than the norm for your race by +10 feet. This benefit applies only when you are wearing no armor, light armor, or medium armor, and not carrying a heavy load.
Improved Uncanny Dodge (Ex) You can no longer be flanked. This defense denies a rogue the ability to sneak attack you by flanking you, unless the attacker is a rogue of at least level 4.
Rage (Ex) You can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting you additional combat prowess. You can rage for 24 rounds per day. You can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive. While in rage, you gain a +4 morale bonus to your Strength and a +6 morale bonus to Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, you take a -2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants you 15 hit points, but these disappear when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While in rage, you cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration. You can end your rage as a free action and are fatigued after rage for a number of rounds equal to 2 times the number of rounds spent in the rage. You cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter rage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If you fall unconscious, your rage immediately ends, placing you in peril of death.
Raging Climber (Ex) While raging you add a +5 enhancement bonus to all Climb skill checks.
Raging Leaper (Ex) While raging you add a +5 enhancement bonus to all Acrobatics skill checks made to jump. When making a jump in this way, you are always considered to have a running start.
Trap Sense (Ex) You gain a +1 bonus on Reflex saves made to avoid traps, and a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps.
Uncanny Dodge (Ex) You can react to danger before your senses would normally allow you to do so. You cannot be caught flat-footed, nor do you lose your Dexterity bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. You still lose your Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. You can still lose your Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses the feint action against you.
Jandar is excited to see a circus. Father was never around, and mother never let him go anywhere nice. He's excited to do something more other then guarding caravans... and he's got a lot of pent up anger to work through.

Thanks, you four, for your interest! I'll just bump this thread this one time to see if I can get 1 or 2 more players...someone always drops out in the first week or so, which would leave us with just 3. Its okay if we don't, I'd rather only start a game if players are excited about it!
Peace!

Sorry guys, doesn't look like there is enough interest or excitement so I'm going to replan. If I see one of you apply in my next recruitment i'll give you first seat:)
Going back and forth between:
OPTION 1: Pathfinder Cerulean Seas underwater campaign
OPTION 2: Retro Sci-fi using Tales of A Space Princess rules (that's right, space ships look like V2 rockets, a race of female leotard-bubble-helmeted-space-suit-wearing aliens with ray guns that have little radar dishes on the end trying to take over 1930s earth...
OPTION 3: I realize people just want vanilla APs so I do Iron Gods again.

Sorry for the late entry! I just now saw this interest check. If you're still taking applications, I'd love to get in on Carnival of Tears! I almost ran this module for a group I had, and it looks like wicked fun. You are correct that this module is perfect for PbP. Are you sure about only 300 starting gold at level 5?!! Are we all peasants? If so, I'm fine with it, just wanted to make sure that wasn't a typo. Let me know if you're still planning on this, I'll get a character made up this afternoon, and posted quick as a whistle. Also, trust me, I won't drop out. I'm not that guy.

MendedWall12 |

MendedWall12 you make 5 interested players! That makes me comfortable enough to start!
Carinval of tears...so excited! Let's move to discussion thread.
