Solomon "Bone-White" Skrivven
Ha, I forsaw Xeram's reply to my foolish question!
Grymp
Solomon determines that the silver dragon pendant is indeed silver, but that the blue eyes, are not actual saphires, and that the value of the pendant is roughly 5gp.
Vosil Comarenza
Vosil smiles, grimly. "Any guesses as to what would have happened if we'd taken that forgery back to the cardinal?"
Solomon "Bone-White" Skrivven
"Hmm, it's real silver." Solomon shares while inspecting it. "But this can't be the real thing. The eyes certainly aren't sapphire. I doubt you could get more than a few gold pieces for it."
Solomon "Bone-White" Skrivven
Solomon will then further search the waterlogged room as well, wading into the foul waters with little regard.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Grymp
Apologies if I made it sound otherwise. The room is actually dry now, but these are the undead hulks of old sailors, and while everything was once waterlogged, it's well dried and briny now, but the equipment is useless.
Ok, so Solomon finds a secret door in the middle of the north wall. If opened, that secret door opens easily, and turns right and goes down the hall to the middle of the western wall of the room with the podium and the pendant. [Had it been discovered, this secret passage could have circumvented the shrieker's room, but no matter)
Ok, so there's a door on the west wall of the draugr's room, and there are stairs up from the room with the podium/pendant, and then there's the way back out of "room 1" where you originally came in.
What's the plan there you wretches?
Solomon "Bone-White" Skrivven
I agree, I hate leaving a dungeon with passages unexplored. Curiosity killed the rat...?
Solomon checks the door on the west wall of the Draugr's room for any obvious traps or pitfalls.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Vosil Comarenza
Vosil takes a minute to re-summon Shade, who appears in much the state as she left, minus the nausea.
I agree, door out of the draugr room
Shade - Vosil's Eidolon
On learning that the undead that nauseated her were drowned sailors, Shade flexes her claws menacingly.
Gertrart aka Blood Desecrator
Gertrart follows the others through the new door. "We haven't found the squire's master yet."
Grymp
There are no traps found on the western door.
Behind the door is a 10' long corridor heading due west. The corridor ends at yet another wooden door. This door is barred and chained and has a very robust lock holding it shut.
The door has an inscription, "Serve thy master well and be rewarded.”
Hanging just to the right of the door is a metal ring with a single key on it.
Malleck of Alerion
"This looks promising." the antipaladin grinned
"Lets see what is behind this door" he picks up the keys

Vosil Comarenza
Vosil frowns.
Smiling at Timeon, he says softly "This looks like it could be dangerous; why don't you wait out here? We'll let you know when it's safe to come in. Trust me."

Maybe put a point into Linguistics next level? See rule 50: the Atreides had a battle language, so should we. Also, it's deeply thematic...

"Yes, stay here. Let us... uh.. Mitrans worry about the dangers" Mordecai confirms, and follows Malleck to the door.

Solomon "Bone-White" Skrivven
Solomon cowers for a moment, looking at the inscription.
"Something doesn't seem right about this." He mutters. "Why would something be locked so thoroughly with the key nearby. Rat-traps often display their bait conspicuously, counting on the fact that when delighted by prospects reason often diminishes." He thinks a bit longer. "I imagine the inscription speaks more of completing the... er, rescue... of the pendant. Though we serve one... higher than the bishop, in the immediate task we are at his behest."
Malleck of Alerion
unless outright stopped, Malleck will open the door

Likewise, Solomon isn't about to try and stop the large man. He moves from the hallway and around the corner, out of sight.
Shade - Vosil's Eidolon
If anyone stops Malleck, Shade will open the door - let's get this done and dusted, shall we? No one conquers a kingdom from someone else's cellar - unless you're piggybacking on their WiFi, of course ;)
Gertrart aka Blood Desecrator
Some of my best work started in cellars. That first one was a bloody mess, but still, some of my BEST work, Gertrart muses as they continue.

As Malleck opens the door, he spies a fully armed, prepared, and unsurprised Knight of Alerion
Many of you will recognize this Knight as Sir Balin, a noted catcher of evil folks, and in particular followers of Asmodeus, and he is the Knight who captured you.

Solomon hears the door open, and braces for whatever explosion is likely to take place.
Can't perceive, as he can't see it :)
Grymp
Timeon gasps as you begin your assault against the majestic knight that he loves and respects, "what are you doing, that is my master, Sir Balin?!"
Sir Balin Will: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Please remember to give me the save DCs when you cast on me, but I'm betting a 25 is plenty to survive a cantrip.
Let's go Malleck, this is YOUR MOMENT OF GLORY

"Finally this charade is over... die Alerion lacky!" smite! Whoohoo! +4 AC, +2 Damage, +4 To Hit

Solomon, near the back where Timeon had retreated as well, draws his bow and knocks an arrow at Malleck's command. Then, sighting the shaft, targets the young squire rather blatantly.
"Sir Balin is being tested right now. I say you let him and don't move a single muscle. You're not a cheater are you?" Solomon says with a verminous glare.
Move to draw bow and arrow. Readied action to shoot should the squire take any movement. Solomon made it pretty clear that he needed to freeze.

Malleck, moves forward and engages the oppoing knight, getting a solid hit with his sword.

I will wait to adjudicate Xeram and Malleck's second round actions until we get a little bit from the guys at the bottom of the order.

Vosil sighs deeply as his companions give up all pretence of subtlety. "OK, kid, remember when I said that the just are revealed by their might? Right now, we're seeing who is more just. So why don't you calm down? No one is hurting you."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
A 3?! Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
Shade - Vosil's Eidolon
Shade, who never had much time for subtlety anyway ("You can't eat it"), launches herself at the knight.

"Vosil, maybe the boy should not see this." he says with a smirk.
Then moves into the room and into a corner near the door...
"What do you think, Sir Balin? Want to let the boy see you die? Nevermind, I don't really care what you think."
... touches a stone in the wall and the room plunges into darkness.
Cast Darkness (20' radius). I am assuming this is another 15' square room.

"Timeon, dear boy... You shouldn't trust Sir Balin! He's a wicked creature, praying on young boys..." Mordecai reprimands the boy. Then, turning to the real opponent, he calls forth words loaded with infernal power: "Show the boy what you really are, Sir Balin... Would you kindly cut him down..."
Murderous command, DC 16
Gertrart aka Blood Desecrator
Gertrart watches things slowly unfold. He makes sure the boy is not going to escape then moves into the darkness and finds a position to give Malleck some aid.
Avoiding AoOs, double move to get to a place where a five foot step will give him flanking with Malleck. If he can get there in a single move, he will ready a falchion attack, but stay away just yet.
"Why did the knight attack us with no provocation? That seems quite hypocritical for a purveyor of 'justice.'"
