Aeneas |

I offer Aeneas a Mobile Fighter 4 Investigator 2
The alias is for a first level version which I can easily revamp once creation and plot details are forthcoming.
Aeneas will be a strong fighter and the mobility will allow for some control of the battlefield. The rogue levels add skills and allow a few tricks that the average fighter lacks.

Aeneas |

two things
1- whats an alias in this context please
2- whats a mobile fighterthanks
Oops sorry using jargon.
Alias: Click on the picture associated eith of my posts and you will see the character sheet for a fitst level version of Aeneas that I used in a campaign that sputtered out. This second dedicated identity is called an alias.
A mobile Fighter is in the APG. About midway down that page.

Poor Wandering One |

So this is a character you have played before ?
For about 1/3 of a session.
wasn't a good fit for the campaign.I'm not wedded to any part of the build however and will need to rebuild from scratch for your campaign in anycase.
The only thing that will stay is the name and the picture. I mainly pointed it out as an example. It will be an all new character for your game. The present Aeneas may not built to your point buy so the stats will change. The Aeneas for your game will be 6th level, the current Aeneas is first. Gear and background ans etc. will all be diferent. I am just reusing the name and the icon.
It keeps things tidy on my end.
That said I can toss the name and the icon and start with a totally new idea. Say an Iomedian Inquisitor named 'Promise' as his father promised him to the church if both he and his mother survived childbirth.
In fact I think I like that idea better.
I have never played an Inquisitor and today is a good day for something new. So I am offering "Promise" Happ Inquisitor 6. More details at your request
PS. This is my not in character alias.

I have two concepts.
First is an infiltrator shield Ranger (race and flavor undecided, but that takes me like 30 seconds top), who wields two shields rather than a weapon and shield. Trust me, he won't drag the party down. Even though the shield bonus doesn't stack, my rule-fu is strong. Would focus on being very difficult to kill, aiding allies defense, and surprisingly powerful full attacks and bull rushes.
Second is a Transmuter wizard who will usually buff allies but will, if necessary, take to the field himself and lay down some melee. Banned Schools would be Enchantment and Divination (unless no other caster can do the parties divination).
If you were aiming for more of "personality, background" concept, I can throw those out too.
~~
I also had some other concepts I wanted to try, but seeing you banned gunslinger, I figured you didn't want firearms period, and those concepts involved archetypes that gave you firearms.

Poor Wandering One |

Perfect.
See you in the am.
Some questions to ponder with your morning cuppa.
Using traits? If so are there any custom traits related to the background?
Starting gear? Standard wealth by level for 6th?
Could you please say something about the themes that will be stressed in the campaign. Urban vs. wilderness? Mainly in one region? Politics heavy? Low or high magic? Many gods or mainly one or none? Knightly adventure for honor and glory? Or a war of thieves and demons in the backstreets?
Any information would be helpful. A wizard and a barbarian can both function on either high society or a post apocalyptic wasteland but it matters in character creation, especially since we will be 6th level and presumably have had some adventures under our belts.

OK , the premise is its a romp across Golorian , urban towers to the darkest depths of the Dark Elf Realms....across mighty oceans to the deepest jungles of Mwangi..
As for past character development , your adventurers will have ridden together and had a shared history (we may do some flashback to establish some backstory)
Standard gods and monsters , think LOTR vs Conan Vs 13th Warrior vs Kingdom of God..

Also question, how are you going to treat me acquiring spells other than by leveling up during character creation? May I pay the traditional half cost of writing a spell into a spellbook fee to borrow other's spellbooks (thus working out to a total of 150% of the cost of writing into a spellbook) or do I have to purchase scrolls and then copy from them those (thus working out to a total of about 225% of the cost of writing into a spellbook). Or must I acquire all spells during play?
Also, put up a minus spells and mundane gear statblock. I think Filios might get a slight kick out of the end of the statblock. :P

I am thinking of a Monk (Aesetic) with the Flowing Monk and Master of Many Styles archetypes from ultimate combat.
His first style is Crane and he is a trip monkey. He will spend his attack actions to trip foes who are thretened by his allies. Moveover, if someone attacks him, he will use his style feats to block and attack those who successfully strike him.
I'll post the whole build tonight.
Just so I'm clear, we are using:
25 point-buy
2 traits
Standard Wealth by Level
all for a world travelling type adventure.
Sounds like fun.

Poor Wandering One |

I do believe only one archetype is allowed per character, Sean. :P
You can have more than one archetype so long as they do not replace the same ability.
That said Flowing monk and Master of Many styles both replace the 2nd level bonus feat so they cannot be used together.
Flowing: Unbalancing Counter (Ex): At 2nd level, a flowing monk's attacks of opportunity render a struck creature flat-footed until the end of the flowing monk's next turn (Reflex DC 10 + 1/2 the monk's level + Wisdom modifier negates). [/b]This ability replaces the bonus feat gained at 2nd level.[/b]
Master:Bonus Feat: At 1st level, 2nd level, and every four levels thereafter, a master of many styles may select a bonus style feat or the Elemental Fist feat. He does not have to meet the prerequisites of that feat, except the Elemental Fist feat. Alternatively, a master of many styles may choose a feat in that style's feat path (such as Earth Child Topple) as one of these bonus feats if he already has the appropriate style feat (such as Earth Child Style). The master of many styles does not need to meet any other prerequisite of the feat in the style's feat path. [/b]This ability replaces a monk's standard bonus feats.[/b]
And we have yet to hear about wealth or traits.

My Japanese Tutoring Session got cancelled, so I have a lot of extra hours today to spend preparing for this. :)
~~
Hey everybody, if you want some oddball buff/support spells, let me know. I'm focusing on buff support, and if there's a spell other than the staples (Bull's Strength, Haste, ext) that would really help you out, let me know.
For example, I believe the Assassin uses poison? If he makes it in, I might take Accelerate Poison.

Good call Hallowsinder - yep poison use with accelleration would work nicely!

Alright, I heard we were going to have a Trip Monkey, so what would you say to this spell, Staggering Fall.
"This spell must be cast on a creature as it falls, either from a height or after being knocked prone or tripped. The magic of this spell causes the creature to hit the ground particularly hard, knocking the wind from it. The creature takes an additional 1d6 points of damage from the fall. In addition, the creature becomes staggered for the duration of the spell unless it makes a Will save. Each round the spell’s effects persist, the creature may attempt a new Will save as a free action to end the staggered effect early. A creature under the effects of this spell must take a standard action to stand up."
It's from the Rival Guide, though, so it's up to the GM to allow it or not. I can link to the d20pfsrd page for it.
But if allowed, it'd go great with a trip monkey, AND it's transmutation! Awesome!.

Not a bad group. Little light on the divine. But we can get wands etc. to cover some of the holes.

No Promise - you are correct - my fault, He was Neutral for five levels as a Rogue, and he shifted to NE when he took the level of Assassin.
@JamesF: If this is problematic, then I can just drop the Assassin and take a 6th Rogue level, keeping him true Neutral. If not, then I will remain NE - your call. It is the Sniper Build that interests me most.
