Antikas Fenrith |
Antikas seeing Shard and Trutzburg take on the automaton, and not being able to get a clear shot, decides to send an arrow at the goblin instead.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Vs Mirror Image: 1d2 ⇒ 1
Hadgar Blacksun |
Hadgar, tired of being left out, joins the assault and aims for the target he can see with a stone drawn from his sack.

Critical Confirm: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Extra damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Woo! Max accuracy and damage! What a nice day for him to release his pent up frustration! Not sure if he can aim at the robot. If not, he will switch target to the gobo with a +4 bonus to attack.
Gimble, The Storyteller |
As the goblin runs past them, Trutzburg swings and misses, but Shard manages to bite a chunk off of its leg.
Shard then turns to the Autamaton and hits it with everything he's got. He manages to hit with a claw and a bite wearing it down slowly.
Antikas, with a clear shot at the goblin, fires an arrow, hitting the real goblin as it cries out in pain.
Hadgar moves in to get a better look at the construct and hurls a stone at it hitting it directly in the shoulders, lodging the stone in its gears. Confirmed Crit!
The Goblin screams in anger as his pet gets hit multiple times, and he grabs his holy symbol and negative energy hits everyone, but Sana.
Negative Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Everyone but Sana needs to make a Will Save DC 9 for half damage
As Hadgar's stone lodges itself in its gears, the automaton starts to crackle and fizzle with electricity. Its head spins around once and it attacks . . . Shard-1, Trutzburg-2: 1d2 ⇒ 1 . . .Shard.
Slam@Shard: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
The construct slams Shard directly in the head, and he falls to the ground, unconscious.

She steps into the room presenting her holy symbol Channel to heal 3/5: 1d6 ⇒ 5. The same wave of warmth flows out from Sana again, reinvigorating her party.
Hadgar Blacksun |
Hadgar grunts as negative energy washes over him, harming his insides. He gives the goblin cleric an evil eye before firing a shard from his sack at the little abomination then moves out of his enemies' range.
Mirror Image: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Telekinetic Blast at Goblin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Gimble, The Storyteller |
Sana steps in and channels to counteract the negative energy damage from the goblin.
Shard is stabilized by the positive energy, but still unconscious.
Hadgar glares at the goblin and lets another glass shard fly , but the shard strikes the duplicate.
There is now just one goblin, no mirror image.
Qildar, Antikas, and Trutzburg are up.
Qildar |
Will save: 1d20 ⇒ 15

With the construct down, Qildar moves up to stab at the goblin but stumbles on the goblin's creation and misses.

"Come on Shard..." Sana says moving up to kneel next to the shaggy creature. Her hands resting on his head as energy flows out from her, as before.
Antikas Fenrith |
Ref Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Antikas runs up to Shard and Sana, skidding on his knees next to his friend.

_Shard_ |
Shard shakes his body and his fur flies as he stands. "My thanks Sana for the healing aid." Then nods at Antikas.
Hadgar Blacksun |
"I am in perfect health. If not for Sana, I would still be feeling the pain in my chest. Thank you for your hard work, my friend."
Hadgar nods at Sana in gratitude. He gathers the loot that he managed to find and gives the parts an intense stare that last for a minute.
"Unbelievable! To think that these little bunch managed to assemble a few parts into a walking machine. Usually, their minds are too chaotic to grasp the complexity of anything mechanical. But they did it."
The half-orc shakes his head before handing the wand to the magical person for identification and begin counting the gold pieces in the pouch.
How many gold pieces are in there?
Hadgar Blacksun |
"Let's clean up all of the rooms especially the one where the noise are coming from. I won't be able able to sleep well if some rousing cowards sneaked into this room and tried to slit our throat in the middle of the night."
Hadgar follows behind Trutzburg when he tries the northern door.
Waiting for GM to clarify the amount of gold in the pouch.
Gimble, The Storyteller |
Trutzburg opens the north door:
Two tables with benches lie scattered around this mess hall.
Decaying food of an indescribable nature sits on the tables. At
the Western end of the chamber, doors exit to the North and
the South.
In the middle of the room holding a coyote flank with a couple bites taken out of it is a goblin standing over a second unconscious goblin. The unconscious goblin has bits of food and stuck in his nose and ears. The goblin seems surprised to see the door open and looks over at the half-orc and nagaji standing at the doorway.

Hadgar Blacksun |
Hadgar moves into the room. Standing on one benches to get a better aim, the half-orc levitates a shard from his sack and fires it at the goblin.
Telekinetic blast on goblin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Hadgar Blacksun |
Hadgar facepalms as this is the door he sealed with furniture from the other side. After checking the goblin corpse, coup the grace the unconscious goblin and check his body too, the telekineticist ventures through the long way to the other side of the door with someone, removes the furniture and opens the door.
Hadgar Blacksun |
Hadgar tries to open the east door. If opened, he will steps back some distance.
He will step back about 15 ft from the door after it is opened which is updated in the map. Are there any loot from the goblins that we stumbled across?
Gimble, The Storyteller |
The East "door" is a hidden passage behind a poorly camouflaged tarp. The passageway is made for small creatures. Following it leads to the north east tower. There is nothing of interest in the passage or the tower.
The goblins themselves each have a dogslicer, shortbow, and a handful of arrows. All are small sized.
Hadgar Blacksun |
Hadgar squeezes into the passage and crawls through narrow way to the north east tower to recover the loot of blue goblin that the group missed when the ceiling trap triggered and barred the section. That finished, he crawls back to the room before automaton's room and opens it, moving back the same distance as he did from the eastern door.
Same strategy as the east door when he opens the south door. Open and moves back 15 ft from it. Position on map when he does so is updated on the map.
Gimble, The Storyteller |
The blue goblin had a dogslicer, shortbow, and a handful of arrows all small-sized. It doesn't really matter since everything will be on a chronicle sheet. If there's anything out of the ordinary, I'll mention it. You don't need to actually recover any of the treasure to sell unless you plan on using it on this level. There will be a chronicle sheet and downtime upon completing each level of the spire.
Gimble, The Storyteller |
@Hadgar:
Hadgar makes his way to the southern most room and opens the door:
A plush, human-sized bed stands in this chamber, along with a table holding a bone scroll tube and jars filled with eyeballs, claws, and teeth. Various automaton parts lie scattered around.
Hadgar Blacksun |
Hadgar searches the room for any items of interest or useful equipment that could help the group in battle with the same patience his eyes skimmed over the room. Perception (Take 20) - 26 Once he inventory the room, Hadgar nods for Trutzburg to open the central door.
Qildar |
Once everyone is ready.
Having searched the entire level except for what is behind the double doors, Qildar get ready to open the door to let Trutzburg enter.
