Gabriel will detect some evil on Nuro and step forward (If you move no actual distance in a round (commonly because you have swapped your move action for one or more equivalent actions), you can take one 5-foot step either before, during, or after the action.), attempting to smite Nuro with some god given power if he is evil.

Just a reminder, your initiative order is all out of whack now, since everybody delayed until after Caladwen. "Initiative Consequences of Delaying: Your initiative result becomes the count on which you took the delayed action. If you come to your next action and have not yet performed an action, you don't get to take a delayed action (though you can delay again).

If you take a delayed action in the next round, before your regular turn comes up, your initiative count rises to that new point in the order of battle, and you do not get your regular action that round."

Round Two

Bjorkus grunts in surprise and pain as he's run through but in a show on incredible endurance, physically tears to blade from his own belly. He offers the offending guard a roar of challenge before rearing back to slam his weapon into him with deadly force.

It doesn't really matter if the bad guys all delayed since they were in a big clump anyway. They can just re-delay and shuffle back into their original order.

Actually, this will help me organize. Now all of the NPC's are going at once since they all acted right after Caladwen. It actually helped me quite a bit.

"He tears it from his own belly". Do you guys have any idea how simply terrifying your party appears?

Bjorkus makes the guard step back as he doesn't flinch from the bad wound, then the mans armored head rolls on the floor.

I'm good with this. As the character that is largely unarmored, intimidation aka the Batman, is my primary defense.

Toramin is a silent, unbreakable block of armor with reach that usually one shots anything that gets too close. And the darkness style breaches...also Toramin, either talk in ooc or move the chat to discussion (which we should do since this is a rather serious combat)

Lindale returns the blow to the noble, stabbing him neatly through the side and causing the noble to go white faced, backing off. Toramin twists and grabs his backup bardiche, lunging forward to gash Nuro from cheek to ear. The King's eyes open in surprise at the solid hit, putting a hand to his cheek and looking at the blood. A soft plump is heard as Bjorkus kicks the disembodied head of another guard.

Dalton glances at the deadly weapon Nuro holds, whispering and pointing to it. Nuro makes eye contact with him as he does it, appearing to recognize what is going on. You see the blade he holds turn red hot but Nuro has already released the blade.

Arjax slowly breathes out, following Caladwen's movements and releasing his arrow. Time almost seems to slow as it flies neatly between the melee combatants, then the arrow pierces her directly in the neck, going through to the other side. She gurgles, spitting up blood and drops to the ground. Gabriel comes forward and chops into Nuro's thigh, leaving a deep wound.

The other noble and both guards close in, but Gabriel and Toramin fend them off. Marcus then steps in front of the king, shoving him backwards with a determined, grim expression. He lunges forward, bastard sword in both hands and drives it through Gabriel's leg. He rips the blade out sideways, leaving a good six inches of flesh flapping off of the bone. The king begins to falter, but with Marcus in front of him he recovers. He retrieves his blade and casts a spell. After a moment you see two mirror images of Nuro form beside him, mimicking his every move.

Lindale stabs another noble, not fatally but the man backs off. Bjorkus keeps up his killing streak, hamstringing and dropping another guard. Dalton continues to harry Nuro by manipulating his weapon, but this time Nuro firmly grabs the sword. Arjax lets loose an arrow that flies strait towards Nuro's neck...passing through an image and making it vanish. Gabriel yells and brings down his sword...destroying another image.

Toramin lunges forward, finally landing a good blow on Marcus. The blade pierces him just above his armor, right below the neck and deep into the collarbone. Marcus stumbles, spraying the throne in blood. He looks up, chin dripping red. "My job isn't done yet." He roars, lunging forward. Then you all see his bastard sword exit Toramin's back, plunged strait through his gut. As releases the hilt, holding himself up on Toramin, then looks him in the eye. "Good...good fight dwarf. I'm glad I cou..." His eyes flicker up and he collapses, bringing down the mortally wounded dwarf with him.

Nuro watches his images, bodyguard, spellcaster, and guards die around him. He whips his head around, eyes burning in fury. "You think I'm done?!" He looks at Arjax and Dalton, then smiles. He steps forward and swings his sword as if to attack the air...then suddenly a multi-hued cascade of images fly forward and he's standing behind Dalton. Dalton recoils and flinches from the attack, but his defensive magic proves its worth and deflects the blade. He laughs, weaving his blade through the air as starts backing down the tunnel.

The last standing royal guard swings at one of the drow, manages to target the right one but not getting past his armor.

Is Marcus in any danger of bleeding out? If so, Toramin will heal him after stripping him and tying him up. Is his full plate mail masterwork?

Toramin would love the amulet and or the ring.

Is Marcus evil?

After seeing to Marcus, Toramin will collect his hammer, and look up at the guard with weary eyes carved from stone. "What fell power did he have over you, son?"

He'll be up in a minute. Disabled, but alive.

Armor is masterwork.

Marcus is not evil.

"The king, he forced every member of the royal guard to follow him through his magic. He had a few nobles and officers as well, but apparently upon his death we are released."

Yay, that means if I get it enchanted it will resize. Frabjous day!

"Troubling. Not only that he so thoroughly robbed so many of their will, but that I doubt he had the power to do it alone, given that we were able to vanquish him. There might be some terrible artifact or well of dark power to which he had access. At the very least we should secure the palace, preventing any looting or bloodshed and search it for any fell power."

I am just waiting for how you pull of taking his armor without killing him.

Eventually Marcus moves, coughing until he rolls on his side and spits up a ball of congealed blood. He sees Nuro's body, then shakes his head. "Damnit." He turns to see the rest of the party, including the now standing dwarf. His head cocks curiously as he keeps one hand on his injured neck. "So you actually did it, killed him."

Hey Mr. Dorf. The rest of us want AC too! =P

Bjorkus drops the shattered weapon with a dismissive snort.

”Any word from the elf?” he asks Dalton. ”If they’re still fightin’ outside we should help.”

Dalton shakes his head, still not hearing anything from Tiasar.

Suddenly a soldier (enemy) bursts into the room, panting. After catching his breath he cries out "We've lost! The Andri..." He stops as he sees Nuro's corpse. Then he falls to his knees and weeps with joy.

I said that if he looked in danger of dying, I would lay on hands him. Toramin isn't squeamish about blood, so he would just unbuckle the armor.

Full plate takes 1d4+1 minutes to remove. And he is awake before that.
