Sounds good then.

I normally leave you guys with open ended situations and do my best to prepare for any possible option you take (normally I predict 3-4 different decisions you could do), but I did not expect this. Bravo Lindale!

Anyways, I'm getting this cleaned up with him as quickly as possible. As soon as it's done expect a large post in gameplay

M Human Rogue (sniper) 3|HP 24/24 |Init +2|AC 13 [touch 13 FF 10], Fort +2 Ref +6 Will +1; Per +6

I wanted to clarify, in about two hours, I'll be gone for the evening too. I'll be able to post again tomorrow.

Well the gatehouse will be a "kick in the door" mission, so I'll just have you sling arrows at whatever you can reach. When you get to the castle I would like to have everybody ready though.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

Shattered ankles and thumbs would require a regenerate spell, correct?

Yup. You could investigate the stockroom and empty vials.

Male Grizzly Bear 3 | HP: 30/30 l AC: 19 /T: 12/FF: 17 l Fort: +4, Ref: +5, W: +4 l Init: +2 l Per: +5; Low-light vision; Scent l Movement: 40

We waiting on the scene with the wizard to finish before we get to the storeroom?

You guys have all the time you need, so I assumed everybody would just take 20 and find that Gelrick modified the potions.

Male Grizzly Bear 3 | HP: 30/30 l AC: 19 /T: 12/FF: 17 l Fort: +4, Ref: +5, W: +4 l Init: +2 l Per: +5; Low-light vision; Scent l Movement: 40

Ah, can we track him down or at least see where he headed?

By all means, go ahead and try. But with no blood trail and a stone floor it won't be an easy task.

Male Grizzly Bear 3 | HP: 30/30 l AC: 19 /T: 12/FF: 17 l Fort: +4, Ref: +5, W: +4 l Init: +2 l Per: +5; Low-light vision; Scent l Movement: 40

Heh, I'll take that as a no.

Back to bed!

Oh man, we have no tracker in the party, not even a sub-par one.

Male Grizzly Bear 3 | HP: 30/30 l AC: 19 /T: 12/FF: 17 l Fort: +4, Ref: +5, W: +4 l Init: +2 l Per: +5; Low-light vision; Scent l Movement: 40

Inquisitors are usually good at tracking. It looks like Lindale's archetype gave it up.

What a shame...

I suppose Bjorkus could pick up a rank of survival. Arjax might be a better fit. He's got loads more skill points to spare.

Honestly I'm kind of confused on what we're supposed to do here. The alchemist got away. He's untrackable and we can't move the attack timetable ahead. It seems like we should just double the guard and go back to sleep.

Well just seeing if anybody else had any bright ideas. There are a few members who haven't had a chance to post yet.

Male Grizzly Bear 3 | HP: 30/30 l AC: 19 /T: 12/FF: 17 l Fort: +4, Ref: +5, W: +4 l Init: +2 l Per: +5; Low-light vision; Scent l Movement: 40

*Grumbling*

Got me outta bed for nothin'...

So I didn't leave any obvious trail, Gelrick is a smart guy. However, that doesn't mean this is an impossible task. If you guys can think of something clever there is a chance of you tracking him. I'll give you guys another hour or so to brainstorm, and if nothing comes up then I'll move on. Sound ok?

Oh and Bjorkus, since you and Daina are both awake you could go for another round. Consider it a consolation prize ;)

Current Map updated

That is just fantastic Toramin, but if you wouldn't mind could you migrate that over to gampeplay*?

*Might get you some better rolls too...

I'm going to bed. Everybody, I need your surprise round and round 1 actions. Fun gaming all!

Combat too complicated to make a post before class, I'll have to wait till after.

aw

Uh-oh, Nuro is a magus! Lot of other problems too, quite a mess you've gotten yourselves into.

This goes for everybody, but I just noticed Toramin forget to do it. When something changes in your current stats (such as you taking 27 damage) make sure to update your stat line. It helps me keep track of things.

Give me a moment. :-) I haven't finished updating Toramin yet.

What I am most impressed by is Caladwen having Daylight as a known spell. It's not a common third level spell for sorcerers to pick up. Or maybe she is another evil Aasimar.

Male Grizzly Bear 3 | HP: 30/30 l AC: 19 /T: 12/FF: 17 l Fort: +4, Ref: +5, W: +4 l Init: +2 l Per: +5; Low-light vision; Scent l Movement: 40

Maybe she's just genre-savvy. My PFS sorcerer took Daylight.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

Genre-Savvy? Then she is truly dangerous.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

Did Nuro have to roll a concentration check to cast his spell? Or does Spellstrike save you from the possibility of AoO?

He cast the spell, stepped up, then attacked. Since you were disarmed you weren't threatening anyways.

And I forgot to specify, Caladwen used a scroll. With drow hanging around (as well as needing daylight for the disease) the spell was in high demand.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

Toramin just values his person space. ;-)

He is rather stoic during combat, but I attribute that to dwarven combat training and turning slowly to stone. Calcifying probably plays merry-hell with one's nerve receptors.

I should find my old dwarven fighter/stalwart defender for you sometime. At lv 12 his ac was over 40 and his CMD reached into the 70's. Now that's not too obnoxious, except he had feats so his will save against magic was nearly 20. Even more obnoxious was the fact he could take hits for allies in adjacent squares. I would run in with our 28 strength barbarian, soaking up all the damage while she ripped everything to shreds.

Also had like, 200hp and DR 11/-. He finally died, but a lesser deity had to hit him three times.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

Oh, if perchance, Nuro is undead, an evil dragon, or an evil outsider he would take 6 extra damage if the smite is successful.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

The clip is awesome by the way.

Which of the nobles are fighting? Bjorkus will go adjust their attitudes.

The two noble's who aren't hiding in the southwest corner are fighting*.

*If you could call it that. One of them crit and did 3 damage.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

Don't waste your time with that help us kill the people who can kill us with some ease.

Minion control is important!

Bjorkus took 15 damage from one. That's serious business.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

I quell before your flexing!

You should quill at his flexing. The pen is mightier than the sword and all that...

Male Grizzly Bear 3 | HP: 30/30 l AC: 19 /T: 12/FF: 17 l Fort: +4, Ref: +5, W: +4 l Init: +2 l Per: +5; Low-light vision; Scent l Movement: 40

On a more serious note, I don’t mind being on minion duty. I tend to find the ‘everybody gang up on one dude’ thing to be a bit unheroic. It’s cool when it’s a giant dragon or something but when it’s a dude with a sword, the team-wide gangbang feels kind of lame.

Male Dwarf Paladin (Stonelord) 11 l HP: 105/105 (127/127) l Init: +1 l AC: 30 (44 v giants) [T: 12 (14); FF: 27; CMD: 29/33(43)] l Fort: +13 (+15), Ref: +7, W: +9 (+11) (All saves increase by +5 for p, sp, and spls) l DR: 5 (Adamantine) l Per: -1

Toramin would rather A) be alive, and B) this is the guy who we came to assassinate. It seems meet that we stab him repeatedly. That feels very cinematic.
