I kept the roles that happened before the retcon, and changed the ones afterwards. Simple, chronological, easy.

Blatantly false.

How so? I have described what happened. You used some of the rolls from the first post and then some from a new post. (The 15 and then new rolls after that? Is that correct?)

Again, I want to stress that I am not accusing you of anything. But I feel that not explaining how this makes me feel and what it appears to me to be would be unfair to you. I don't want there to be any resentment or anger on my part. I feel like I owe you honesty because we have been playing together for three years. I clearly enjoy spending time with you and the rest of the gang. You aren't the only one pouring your heart and soul into this enterprise.

I used the same rolls for the actions that did not change. I used new rolls for the actions that did change.

That was my entire decision making process. Period.

Is that the standard we should all use? That when mistakes are made we should not use the previously rolled dice, but roll all new ones for any action after the error?

I think that long term games can only survive through the rule of law and reliable expectations. I want to be able harmonize my expectations with how you plan to run the game. Few things are more unpleasant for me than feeling like a rug just got yanked out from under me.

I'm not a Kantean, I'm a utilitarian. I went with a simple solution that kept things easy. For this exact scenario, I would do the same thing. For a simpler scenario I might just look at the other dice already rolled. For a more complex scenario I might have to trash the entire post. It depends on the situation.

Because if my utility is being taken into account under some communitarian utility equation, I derive great negative utility from unclear system expectations.

As far as I understand it, paladins and antipaladins can buy the same feats the effect mercy/cruelty and Loh/ToC interchangeably. Does that mean that Toramin can use the bracelet of mercy/cruelty?

No. It's unique to antipaladins, just how a bracelet of mercy would be unique to paladins.

As the telephone-earring has been to Bjorkus/Toramin now, I imagine one of them will provide some direction; Dalton is in particular biding his initiative here as he hasn't been in contact with them (nor really cares to be).

Unless the plan developed is crazy, he'll go along with it. I say this as a bid of a readied action, for I may not be able to post until Tuesday evening.

Since nobody is doing that though, Dalton is waiting. As I said, he doesn't really want to have a conversation with our fearless leader anyway.

It's mostly for terrifyingly intimidating style. He doesn't even lift a finger, doesn't mumble a word. He just wills the alteration of reality.

Ooh, what a time for a good roll Dalton.

I'm going to give the others a chance to post (and give me something to work with other than Toramin's usual salt) :P

If Nareth is waiting on anything else from Dalton, he's welcome to ask; presently, Dalton has opened-up and needs a response before he's willing to go further down the yellow brick road.

During this time, I'll be mostly in the US (going into Canada for parts), so it is possible for me to make the occasional post. However, they will not be as frequent nor will they be as in-depth.

I know that everybody's (myself included) can have some crazy schedules and can't always post, but I want to reiterate my original expectation of everybody posting once a day. Even if you're not advancing the story or are unable to move forward until somebody else has posted, a reaction post or even a "My character looks on and waits for them to respond" post is nice to let me know you still have a pulse.

I know I personally have been guilty of not following this rule, but with a new semester of school starting I have everything in order and plan to be posting regularly.

And of course if you're unable to post for one reason or another that's fine (life happens), but if at all possible a quick notification post would be highly appreciated.

Were I not last to post 3 days ago, I'd assume we were waiting on me. I feel bad in advance as my posting will be sparse while I'm out and about in a few weeks, and that stretch reminded me of the above post. Ideally, we'd be at a spot that's less Dalton-centric so my reduced posting frequency won't severely impact everyone else.

EDIT: Those two posts were within a minute of each other, DM. Stop spying on me!

Both in and out of game I do not want to replay the same two weeks. They were painful enough the first time.

Well I don't know how much I can disclose without ruining what is going to happen, but even though you will be going through the same two weeks chronologically you will not be doing anything near what you were like before.
