Ariston Nous |

Ariston looks on, wide-eyed, as his bomb blows a hole in the deck. "I've been a fool..."
He turns towards the remaining attackers on deck, and moves behind the one in front of Haggin, drawing his falchion as he does so.

"Haggin, NO!" Sal swings her crossbow around firing two bolts straight into the Undine in front of her.

GM Immer |

With quick actions from Ariston and Saladraxis (Filios's blade misses the mark), the outsiders collapse to the deck. Saladraxis's is unconscious, with Ariston's just clinging to it. "Roo blaata!" it howls, struggling to even manage that.
A scream is heard from beneath deck to interrupt any assurances of victory the party had.
A response to the scream comes with haste: "Atoo routa, fileero nam."
[spoiler=Wisdom check DC 5]The second voice belongs to Wald. The inflections sound similar to the outsiders, so you may assume he can speak their tongue.
The party is up.

Dristen Dagger |

Wisdom Check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Drysten hurries the last few steps to Haggin. I'll take care of him; you guys go find the other two below deck.
Drysten will sacrifice his Silence Spell for cure moderate wounds.
Drysten places a hand over Haggin's largest wound and watches a light pulses from his hand into the gnome.
healing: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 3 = 10
Haggin heals 10 HP

Haggin Goodfey |

Haggin awakens from his wound-induced sleep to find the halfling cleric standing over him with a look of concern on his face. That wasn't too smart, was it? Haggin says as he tries to sit up. Reaching for his Wand of Cure Light Wounds, Haggin will finish his healing so the cleric does not need to use another spell.
Heal: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Heal: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Good enough for now. 13/16
Haggin will stand up, accepting any assistance in doing so. Looking at the cleric, Thank you for delivering me back from death's door. Maybe I should think of some type of last rites, just in case! Hah... oooh, still a bit sore it seems. Looking around he continues. Who else is in need of aid? I still have plenty of charges left. Lead the way!

GM Immer |

Below deck, Gansukh finds the two undines with Wald, who is cornered against a wall. Rellington lies bleeding out behind the creatures.
The trio don't seem to be fighting. Yet, anyway - they are having a conversation in their strange language, albeit a heated one. You approach from the side. Wald glances at you with his eyes wide. "No no! Stop this fighting!"

Filios |

Are there enemies still left above-deck? I cannot see the map at work. If not...
Filios leans down at the edge of the hole and peers below. Upon hearing Gansukh, he yells,
Hey Gansukh! The fishy looking guys just attacked us!

Haggin Goodfey |

Wand of CLW to Ariston: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Let me know if you need more healing.
Yes, they are quite good at attacking. Why did they do so? I tried to communicate that we were friendly and they assaulted me instead.

Ariston Nous |

Er - I was under the impression that the GM meant that our outsiders that we were attacking hit the deck, not us. I don't believe Ariston got hit that entire battle.
"Save your healings for Filios, my friend. I'll head belowdecks and see what our visitors might be up to." Ariston runs towards the stairs, taking two down at a time and sprinting off towards the direction of the explosion. He stops up, more than a little surprised, as he sees the apparent bettering of relations going on between the creatures and Wald. "What's all this? Have they stopped with their attack?"

Haggin Goodfey |

Since the first wand heal was all Saladraxis needed I'll hit Filios with her second heal as he asks for the help. If he needs more he can take the ones marked for Ariston is he is actually unhurt. Filios, let me know how many charges you needed to be OK so I can keep track.

GM Immer |

Seeing Gansukh's stance, Wald turns his attention to him. Those present down below can tell he is more distressed by this situation than Onaar's death.
"Th-this group is a patrol of some sort, and they say we're trespassing in their w-waters. I told them we don't know anything about their people, but they're n-not buying it. They say we're to be taken p-prisoner!"
The "captain" of the group looks at you. "Atoo. Wataanga."
"He says he wants you to head above deck and wait for them."
*****************
Above deck, the one undine continues to bleed out, while the other moans in pain and struggles to remain conscious. A few splashes are heard over the side; looking will confirm they are from the sharks that seemed to be enjoying their meals not long before.

Ariston Nous |

Ariston heads towards Rellington, kneels next to the man, and takes out another flask hidden within his coat. "Drink this."
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
He looks at Wald as he helps Rellington get the potion down. "We cannot allow that. Judging by their immediate hostility, it is certain that they will be unkind towards us, particularly with us having wounded those ones on deck. The problem is... I doubt we can defend against them. If this was only an advance party, and they can all swim like that... do you imagine we could out-sail them?"
Cure Light Wounds on Rellington. I have another one of those, an Enlarge Person, and Touch of the Sea prepared at the moment. All were created with the infusion discovery. I should have specified this before, my apologies. Normally Ariston won't have all his extracts prepared with infusion, but he thought it would be useful considering the nature of life on a ship.

GM Immer |

I tried talking and they struck me down instead! Are you sure this is wise, Wald? They are savage!
"I can speak their tongue where you couldn't. They are savage though. I-if you could strike them well, Elf, I wouldn't be here now."
Apologies if I wasn't clear, Ariston; Rellington is unconscious and bleeding-out. I'll assume you administer the potion to him to stabilize?
The half-orc's words seem to find ground with Wald, who nods. "They are of a nation of w-water-dwellers, and there are certainly many more where they came from."

GM Immer |

Well, tell them we wish to leave the waters and find land! We'd be happy to do so if we knew where that land was. That way, everybody wins!
Wald nods, gulping, and then (you may assume) he relays your information to the pair.
"Utum mooga. utum yeena. Wataanga!" It doesn't sound like the exchange went over well; the captain nearly yelling at Wald near the end. Quaiahar walks up to the situation to see what is going on and is promptly skewered twice - once with a trident to the back by the subordinate, the center and right prongs piercing the man's dorsal side through to the front on the right side of his spine, the left protrusion on the left. The captain takes the opportunity to spin about and apply a similar jab but through the man's heart instead. They remove their weapons in concert, and his lifeless form drops to the deck.
In a much calmer voice, the leader converses with Wald. "They say the crew has now paid for attacking them, so there need not be any battle. They want - demand - us to come to their ... court? to stand trial now."

Gansukh-Omae |

I know we're in a strange land but this is madness! We can't just let this man casually kill us or the crew like this! He hefts his Tetsubo I don't like Mutiny, but I think it might be time we stop being civilized with these cretans. You've a choice I think Wald. He looks to the others for support
Help us get out of here and stop dealing with these barbarians, or join them as we leave

Filios |

Filios not believing his eyes or the actions of Wald, gracefully jumps down into the hole with his Curveblade drawn.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
I agree with Gansukh, this is madness.

Dristen Dagger |

On the deck, Drysten watches the two creatures. The others had hurried below to take care of the other two so he felt it was his job to watch these two. One of them was alive and going to stay alive but the other... Drysten had never come across a creature like this. During years of sailing he had met all manor of sea creature, some hostile and some friendly. But he had never met one so human like; and he had certainly never killed one. Now that he wasn't protecting himeself, the others and the ship he wasn't sure what to do. He kept watching the one in particular, as the blood seeped out of him.
Personality Change?: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Drysten hops up from his seat and hurries over to the dying creature. He casts stabilize. When he realizes that isn't going to help he channels positive energy, keeping the other creature out of the blast. No need to start up the fight again.
Healing: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Heal Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 To make sure this is enough to keep the creature alive

GM Immer |

Dristen succeeds at halting the other creature's ebbing life; it is still unconscious, however.
*****************
The talk of mutiny doesn't go over well with Wald, who promptly starts to cry once more. "B...but at least then we could get someplace. We don't know where they are now, and it sounded l-like they weren't they only patrol around." He sobs to himself a bit before answering Haggin's question. "I studied the languages of the e-elements when I was younger."

Haggin Goodfey |

Get someplace that wants to see us tried for some crime that has not even been announced. I don't know if I like that option. I think letting his friends upstairs live in exchange for pointing us in a direction out of their water and toward land is a good idea.

Ariston Nous |

"Do you really believe that they will spare us for a trifling kindness such as that? If there are other patrols about, then soon enough we'll be overrun. I share your sentiments of not wanting to meet our fate by the judges of these folk, but I cannot see an alternative. If we struggle, we die."

Haggin Goodfey |

So you suggest we be taken prisoner by these folk? Where will they take us, underwater? Haggin seems lost for words, perhaps the violence he incurred has taken its toll on him. Perhaps I am just angry at being assaulted, but considering our plight we may not have much in the way of options.

GM Immer |

The underling begins speaking with his leader, and the speech is rather fast. Not too fast for Wald to pick up on though. His sobbing dies down - somewhat, anyway - and he appears to be paying attention to the conversation. He casts a glance at Gansukh briefly before returning his attention.
The conversation continues for a bit, with the follower asking Wald a question & the halfling's response drowned out by what seems to be laughter from the leader and a reprimand of some sort towards his companion.

Saladraxis |

Sal stares at the current situation. They had obviously gotten to a point where they where at a stalemate, and yet they where still talking. Something had to be done.

GM Immer |

T. Axe: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Damage: 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (4, 2, 1) + 1 = 8
Before Wald can respond, a loud "thuck" is heard, and the captain collapses. Seemingly from out of nowhere, a throwing axe sticks out of his back. At least it seemed to come out of thin air until a woman strides out from the shadows behind the casks in the corner, another throwing axe in her hand.
"You. Go." Jeanne gestures with her axe, pointing at the creature then at the stairs appropriately. Her shoulder seems to be gashed from something.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Wald lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank Besmara!.. you really came through in the nick of time." The undine exchanges a few quiet, slow words with him then lays down his spear and walks for the stairs, looking at you as he moves. It does not seem he has any large arms on him. Like the others he wears no shoes, his webbed feet slapping against the floorboards as he walks. His path takes him right in between the party members.
You have the option of blocking his path by moving in his way, should you choose to take it.
"That one thought you might be captives not meaning to trespass, captured by the oni henchmen. The captain thought he was weak and laughed at my protest." Wald informs.
"The others are in the cargo hold. Balo is okay." Jeanne continues. "Where exactly are we, Wald?"
The halfling shakes his head. "Beats me. There are other patrols coming, I'd guess though. What do we do?"

Gansukh-Omae |

ah so they have a common enemy! Although killing that one like that probably did little to further our precarious spot, we're at least clear of one threat for now. Someone mark which way he goes if you can

Sal gives Gansukh a strange look, a blank stare as if to say she spoke wisdom beyond reproach.
