Game Master Stratos

Adventurers happen upon a most interesting location. How will their discovery change them - if they survive their discovery at all? MAP

Oh my! Aren't you a sneaky one! Haha! Haggin turns to face the crying gnome. OK, enough grief for one day, alright? Now, would you like to go back to the dice game or perhaps a breath of fresh air would do us better? Haggin smiles and steps aside, holding his arm out toward the exit so that Saladraxis can lead the way.

I knew it, I knew you thought I was worthless! Dristen covers his mouth as if he talked too loudly but the din of the game and crew likely cut off most from hearing his words. Regardless he lowers his voice. I can hurt everybody in the entire room... at the same time.

Oh! Not at all, but so far all I've seen of you is expert handling of the ships chores! The courage of your race is known world wide! But these monsters I speak of, even I dare not face one yet! That's why I must recruit new allies and find strength in Sagrava!

He thumps his chest with a clenched fist

I'm strong, but I'm far from strong enough for those beasts! Have some heart, I'm sure I can find a place for you in my revolution!

He looks very happy and starts looking fondly at the halfling. This trip looks like it's already shapping into exactly what he wanted, if he can find some more and create a band of adventurers he'll surely be able to draw more to his cause and survive the perils and trials to make him strong!

edited agfter Gansukh's edit

Dristen watches Gansukh for a few seconds. I'm glad you believe me. If you want the material proof, come ask me some other time; it would not be fitting to do it here. Otherwise, we can train and await a time we might equal these devils. Dristen turns to leave and then stops. "Oh, and thank you for the kind words about my work, I appreciate the notice."

No problem san, I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to discover each others talents soon enough!

Dristen nods and weaves his way way back through the crowd and outside the room to a spot on the deck. He pulls out his list and start looking around for people he has not recorded last right observations for.

Saladraxis, if you return to the gambling I would intercept you.

Woah, 64 posts.

Quiahar remains passively alert through the gaming, choosing to observe rather than participate. It was entertaining enough as a pasttime, but he did not yet understand the rules of the game.

"What is this revolution, again? Is it really necessary to have one?"

Ariston looks up from his observation of the game, waiting to see whether his bets turn into loss or profit, and turns his gaze on Quiahar. "I would imagine it is, if you value freedom and the right of each individual creature to its own agency. Or if you just dislike the idea of evil devils eating people."

I suppose I could turn my back on my country men and turn a blind eye to the evil filth that rule the land, but what kind of person would that make me? I'd be no better than a common orc!

Ariston resists the urge to slip something unpleasant into Gansukh's breakfast the next morning. He contents himself with the thought that the man will most likely die horribly at the hands of something disagreeable to his notions of revolution.

"I do dislike the idea of man-eating devils. Or soul-devouring devils. OR any type of devils at that. Resist on, then. Resist on. I would support such a battle; it is for that same reason that I am on this ship."

Sal gives Haggin a confused look."I think fresh air sounds good."

As Plumwhisper reaches back for the dice, and opens her mouth - presumably to reply to Filios's jab, a queer feeling takes hold of you all. Your vision lapses for a moment, during which time you can hear the beat of your heart and nothing else.

RECRUITMENT IS OVER.

Congratulations to, in no particular order:

Saladraxis
Quiahar
Ariston
Gansukh-Omae
Dristen
Haggin

Explanations for those not selected upon request in this thread.

For those selected, please note OoC any magic items your characters are wearing presently here. I will get the discussion/gameplay threads shortly.

Outstanding! All I have on me are my better travel/merchant clothes and my two wands, CLW and Charm Person. I haven't really fleshed out my belongings yet but those would be all I have on my person while on board.

Magical gear, none, I'd assume it'd all be stowed away in the ship (only magical item is the tetsubo) unless it was useful for him to carry the tetsubo around, I would assume it would be slightly menacing to folks, if it's not he'd carry it I guess, but that's stretching things.

Excellent! I don't have any on me. Or at all. Do we get to flesh out our possessions more? I would love it if we could, but if not that's cool too.

Something I did forget was to roll for my HP, so I'll just do that now.

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

I am wearing cloak of resist+1 and Bracers of armor +1. LOL I think fresh air would be good and poof awesome timing.

Sorry, I forgot to mention congratulations to Filios as well - I meant to mention I was expanding the party to 7.

Sczarni

(also if it's helpful roll20.net was a great resource for the few pbp's I've run)

I'm wearing boots of the cat and bracers of armor ± 1.

Quiahar is wearing bracers of armor +1, and the scarves of many garments.

Thanks! Filios is wearing +1 Chain Shirt and +1 Elven Curveblade.

Sczarni

don't forget that all updates are in the gameplay thread now!

Grand Lodge

indeed congrat to all selected
