Jerax Hellfire
Unholy S#!+, Highbritches! thinks Jerax, That was awesome! Izrail can certainly turn a phrase!
The tall tiefling begins to applaud, looking into the eyes of other around him, trying to enforce Izrail's speech.
Jerax chants, "House Thrune! "House Thrune! "House Thrune!"

Now that was a speech!
Kirk looks at his Master and quietly gives thanks for the day he met him. There is nothing he could possibly add to that. He readies himself to defend his Master into the grave.
Alicia De'ville
As Izrail stands to prognosticate, Margaletta turns to Alicia. "Do you have any fire spells prepared, weak as they might be?" she whispers in the caster's ear. "I'm thinking if this goes South, we've got a lot of rebels to punish—flip a few pews, set the place on fire, and send the rest screaming and running for home, while we get out before the paladin can get climb down from that balcony."
Alicia replies in the same way
fire and me have a way with each other. If we need it, they'll burn. Or over their heads to scare them. She clears her hands and mind, ready to cast at need.
And Margaletta, my spells are strong enough.
Meridian Anterian
Meridian raises her voice in support of Izrail, "Do not follow those who speak for chaos and dissent, for down that path lies death and destruction. The harvest of chaos is death."
Attempting to assist Izrail's effort.

RAZELAGO
The crowd disperses. Some are genuinely shaken by Izrail's words. The Sheriff quiets everyone and asks everyone to return to their homes and her deputies deal with anyone that is being too unruly.
The priests say nothing to Izrail. They simply pack up as the Sheriff instructs.
I will put in the campaign tab rebellion points. So far you are at 0 having convinced the population that Louslik's death was justified.
You return to Razelago.
“That’s a more dramatic move than I’d expect from a country
priestess—I’m impressed. Tileavia Allamar might be more
interesting than I’d thought. It’s the helmet and this ‘Angel
Knight’ I’m curious about, though. I’ve heard rumors of the
Glorious Reclamation. An overzealous mob of Iomedaean
fanatics calling for a nationwide revolution, as if there
was any hope of that. Still, Archbaron Fex might find this
information valuable.
“In any case, you’ve done well. Pivenzobili has your payment. I shouldn’t have any more work for you today,
but I suspect that might change tomorrow. I’ll send word. Until then I have arranged rooms for all of you. ”
Pivenzobili hands out payment as before. 200gold per person. He gives Izrail 300gold."The master was most pleased with your speech master Izrail."

LEVELED!!
Jerax heads back into Longacre to place an order for two tabards of Asmodeus.
If Jerax can buy two today, he will. If he can't he'll place an order for delivery, probably from Egorian.
While in town, Jerax looks to see if Longacre has a tattoo shop to get a tattoo, and a jewelry shop, to pick up a gift for Meridian, and a leather shop to get a leather cord to hold Piv's Barbatos holy symbol.

And Jerax should let Meridian tattoo him. (yes she has the skill)| Jerax Hellfire |
Wow! Jerax hit the jackpot with he met Meridian.
Remembering he's 'courting' a tattoo artist, Jerax asks Meridian to tattoo Asmodeus's holy symbol in black on his left shoulder, when she has the free time.
I can easily see Jerax becoming Meridian's canvas.
Meridian Anterian
Just wait till she gets the Inscribe Magical Tattoo feat. :)
Sister Margaletta
"What," Margaletta replies, "A fancy hat's supposed to be a sign of something? Eeugh, peasants. Now, is someone going to actually arrest the agitators we met today, or does the Empire's army no longer have enough manpower to send anyone to Longacre?"
If you're actually going for Magical Tattoo, I'll want a Serpentine later...
Izrail Arvanxi

Damn boy, I'm 200gp away from a nice plate armor!
Izrail accepts the money Piv's gives to him "Thank you, Pivenzobili. ANd thank you for contacting us. I feel that we are where we should right at the moment. Longacre needs us."
He goes to Arvanxi's room and waits for Ileosa, so they can talk about their plans... and how do they fit with Razelago's one.
Ileosa Arvanxi
Ileosa has the coins for that.
Izrail doesn't have to wait long. Ileosa comes in, a smile pains her lips when she sees Izrail. "I loved how you handled the crowd dear! I simply loved it!" She tells him before she walked over and kissed her husband. "This has been a wonderful day has it not?" She asked softly as she began to remove her armor.
Sister Margaletta
What's the time-scale of this campaign? I've got weapon-crafting skills now, which means I can start making people shiny things at discounts, but it's probably only worth it if we'll be hanging out for weeks at a time.
Izrail Arvanxi
|
Don't worry honey! I could actually sell my actual breastplate and get enough... but I think that Izrail wouldn't sell any gear that holds personal value to him. He wore it during the Whisperinf Woods, afterall. I can wait a few days for a new set ^^"Thank you... but I dln't think I deserve any praising. I just spoke out of my heart." Izrail helps her out of her armor "Indeed, darling. Today I couldn't ask for more." before starting to removing his own armor "But even if things are going as good as we can hope, we have to keep watch. I won't deny Razelago's support has proved to be exactly what we needed... but even if I feel that he is trustworthy, we can bever be sure that we won't be doublecrossed."
He turns to Ileosa again and takes her face between his hands "In this situation there's too much at stake, and I wouldn't blame nobody for trying to free themselves of the burden if things go awry. But I won't stand losing what we have now nor what we will have. That's why we must put every inch of effort into this, my only queen." he finishes with a smile.
Kirk Hetfield
Master! Mistress! Look, I have more gold! With this I might be able to buy a custom built Les-Paul Mandolin with Asmodeus symbols in the tuning pegs! I...AM....GOING TO....SHRED.
Ileosa Arvanxi
Ileosa smiled as her eyes locked with Izrail. "I am being careful husband. I shall keep on my guard." She told him as her hands gently rested upon his, before gently pulling them from her face and kissing him lovingly. "We will be fine, I am sure of it." She told him.
Kirk Hetfield
Kirk sees that his Master and Mistress are having a "moment" as he gets ignored. He is used to this. He quietly turns and leaves the room. Again he quietly closes the door to give them a moment to themselves. On his way out the door he spies Margaletta and Alicia.
Hey Sister Marg. Hey Alicia. I'm off to the market. Want to go?
This could be a full fledged adventure all unto itself.
Sister Margaletta
Margaletta looks as though she's about to say something nasty to the halfling, and then reconsiders. "You know what? Sure. We made an impression on this town recently. Let's not let it go to waste. I'd be happy to all around through a public place with all the weaponry I own and the sashes of proper damned authority that this backwater keeps forgetting about."
Kirk Hetfield
While in the market, Kirk looks over and eventually purchases a masterwork mandolin (string instrument). He sells his old one for half the initial price. He also sells his original Halfling Sling Staff for half. He looks over the various pipes and considers purchasing some tobacco.
Don't know why I am doing this. But I have always liked the smell.
Looking on-line but I can't find the price of a pipe with tobacco. I don't think it would be much. A couple of silver at the most. After that, their is nothing else Kirk is interested in buying for now.

I assume you are all shopping the next morning when things are open?
Last night as you slept you kept awakening to strange sounds of the ash house. It is certainly haunted.
Before you go out shopping Razelago stops you.
“Nothing more than an errand today, but one well suited
to your skills. I met with the Archbaron last night.”
“He has issued several new decrees
that he’d like posted across town to inform the citizenry.”
Town of Longacre,
By Order of His Lordship Darellus
Fex, Archbaron of Longacre, and in
accordance with the wishes of Her
Infernal Majestrix, Queen Abrogail II of
the Thrice-Damned House of Thrune,
the following decrees are now in effect:
Longacre’s western gate, known
as the Castle Gate, is closed until
further notice. All travel into and
out of Longacre must employ the
north or south gates and be officially
sanctioned. Only the archbaron’s
agents, sanctioned local businesses,
or those displaying a writ of passage
bearing the seal of House Fex, will
be granted passage. All others must
obtain a writ from the Longacre notary
or do business elsewhere.
Longacre citizens shall not congregate
in groups numbering greater than six
in private, or in numbers greater than
twelve in public. Exceptions will be
made only for families with more
than six members or for individuals
undertaking the natural course of their
business. Gatherings for the purposes
of celebration, education, or religion
are not exempt from this order.
A curfew is now in effect. From the
hour after dusk to the hour before
dawn, no citizen of Longacre is allowed
upon the town’s streets without a
writ of exception bearing the seal of
House Fex. The archbaron’s agents
and sanctioned local businesses are
exempt from this order. Those seeking
a writ of exception may apply at the
Longacre Notary.
Any persons found in violation of
these mandates or any other laws
and sanctions of Longacre will be
considered seditious agents and are
subject to questioning, imprisonment,
and summary judgment by the
Archbaron of Longacre and officials
of the town government.
For the prosperity of Longacre, the
protection of the Empire, and the glory
of House Thrune,
Darellus Fex,
Archbaron of Longacre

Izrail shows a wicked smile after hearing the errand "Sir, I guess these decrees should be posted in places where the people could easily see them... like churches." he grabs some of the papers "May I have the honour of posting the one on those heathen's front door?"
Meridian Anterian
In the morning, Meridian decides she will do a little shopping and agrees to disseminate the decree of the Archbaron when she goes, "Jerax, would you like to join us?"
GM-Gathrix
In response to Izrail's question he adds
“Post these decrees at the notice
post in the church square, the
jail, the Last Stand Tavern, and
the Castle Gate. And while
you’re at the jail, stop by the
sheriff’s office. The Archbaron
has a second decree for you to
deliver.” Razelago’s head
tilts toward Cimri, who picks up a
folded page from the table. “One
that dismisses Rhona Staelish as
the sheriff of Longacre.
“You have until noon today.
Perform as reliably as you have in
your last two tasks, and I’ll pay what
we agreed upon for your first task. If this
assignment goes smoothly, the Archbaron
would like to meet with you. It sounds as though
he might soon have some civil positions to fill.”
Jerax Hellfire
"You bet," says Jarex as he marches up to the rest of the group.
“Nothing more than an errand today, but one well suited to your skills. I met with the Archbaron last night.”
“He has issued several new decrees that he’d like posted across town to inform the citizenry.”
"Ha", chuckles the tiefling. "The archbaron's bringing the trident down on Longacre. This should be fun."
Upon hearing Razelago expound on the second decrees, a wicked razor-sharp smile crosses Jarex's face. "I hope I'm lucky enough to see the sheriff's face when Cimri gives her her papers!"| Ileosa Arvanxi |
"I do have a question though." Ileosa said as she looked over the paper herself. "Are we counted among his agents? Do we need to get a writ?" She asked Razelago. "And if so I want it in writing and notified." She said respectfully. "After all, better to be sure of where one stands." Ileosa said as she gave Razelago a smile.
Meridian Anterian
"Perhaps we should all go serve the Sheriff with her walking papers, then spread out from there to get the decrees posted before noon. Razelago, do we need to ensure that the decress remain posted? I suspect that some townsfolk might .. make them vanish."
RAZELAGO
"So long as you wear the Archbaron's sash you are counted among his faithful servants. The time for contracts will come I assure you, but I would like to witness a bit more of your willingness to follow orders and how competent you really are before I go through all the necessary preparations."
Alicia De'ville
spellcraft: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
I don't think we should separate. As a group we are more intimidating. Rebellious villagers may swamp a small group
Alicia says, adjusting her glasses.
And if the decree stays posted or not, it has the weight of law. If they tear them down, they condemn themselves.
Kirk Hetfield
Ugh, sorry got too far ahead of myself. Can we just assume that at some point Kirk makes the purchases he wants?
I'm ready to go.
Suddenly Kirk's stomach roars loud enough for everyone in the room to hear. The sound seems to go on forever and in fact it does. He sheepishly looks around the room.
Uh, any chance we can have a bit of breakfast before we go? I feel like I haven't eaten in days.
Jerax Hellfire
"I could eat.", chimes Jerax. "Meridian?"
Sister Margaletta
"No, don't eat Meridian," Margaletta replies. "But maybe we can stick this on the jon. Wear our uniforms to a few eateries, see if anyone tries to overcharge, make some arrests if they do."
Jerax Hellfire
Jerax stands shocked. "Well I'll be a sonofvab!+<#! Our 'little sister' does have a sense of humor, after all! I think that calls for a drink!"
"Coincidentally, Meridian could tell you some tales," smirked Jerax.
Izrail Arvanxi
|
Izrail frowns upon Margaletta's comment "I though we only had one joker, sister. What a pleasant surprise..."
When Alicia mentions peasants ganking the group he says "You are right, but a mob forming to attack is unlikely... and if a small group does, we will enforce the Archbaron's decree and can use their action asgainst them. They would be altering the order and we would be defending it."
GM-Gathrix
So recap, you have 4 places to go in town, in addition to eating breakfast and any shopping you wish to do.
- Jail
-
- Castle Gate
-
- Church Square
-
- Last Stand Tavern
called, might present a hindrance to invaders were it
situated in a wall. As it is, the gate is merely a mossy stone
tower connected to a short stone span that interrupts the
aged, chest-high wooden fence surrounding the town.
For most of Longacre’s residents, the gate is a symbol of
their town’s grit and determination, but for the town’s
honorary gatekeepers, managing it is a solemn charge
Sister Margaletta
"I'm not joking," Margaletta replies. "I'm here for the violence, and it's getting a little boring without any—I don't exactly have a job as a professional librarian or priest or majordomo like some of you."
I'm fine moving ahead whenever. I don't think Margaletta has much interest in doing anything other than insulting whomever we interact with.

you may get that fight, margaletta. Bolgat caggan runs the last stand tavern, and he won't be happy about us damaging his business. Also, naiing the decree in the church square has a lot of potential for an angry response. She waves her hand to give emphasis to her words The gate should be ok, and the sheriff is a calm sort. Her deputies might be she smiles a bit stroppy
Kirk Hetfield
Kirk looks around the room at his group.
Well, let's get going. Without overstepping things, I suggest we just start at the top of Razelago's list and make our way down. After that, we can hunt ghosts tonight!
I am hitting the road tonight and won't be back till late Sunday. I will have my phone with me.

"No, don't eat Meridian," Margaletta replies. "But maybe we can stick this on the jon. Wear our uniforms to a few eateries, see if anyone tries to overcharge, make some arrests if they do."

"Coincidentally, Meridian could tell you some tales," smirked Jerax.
Meridian stares at Margaletta for a heartbeat, then her mouth turns up in a wicked smile and her voice comes out nearly as a purr, "Oh, no, please do eat Meridian, figuratively speaking of course. That is my favorite figure of speech. And Jerax is so wonderfully good at it." She turns to Jerax and steps very close to him, "Be careful my sweet, or I just might start telling tales." With a quick kiss and a pleased chuckle she steps a little away from him.
"Yes, let's go to see the former Sheriff. We can then go eat breakfast before we head to the gate."

Ileosa laughed at Pivenzobili before looking to Razelago. "At least you know he has some form of ambition, Mr. Razelago." She said with a smile. Then looks to Meridian. "Meri dear, that is information I did not need to know." Ileosa said as she crossed her arms. "Let is get this taken care of so we can go eat breakfast" She said as she grabbed some of the papers.
