Spacey gets the goblin on the way out, because goblins are stupid.

Smikk gives a knowing smile as he jury rigs the leftover goblin excavation equipment into a door busting bomb. He opens it with ease.

Once the door is open, Wazasha quickly speaks up, "Let a few of the camera crew enter first just to get a good reaction shot from you! This is it people!" The door exits onto an elevated walkway that runs along the length of a horizontal cylindrical space that’s several hundred feet in diameter and that extends as far as the eye can see to the right and left. At several points along its visible length lie heavy doors like the one you just opened. You hear a reverent, "Toooraaag!" from Holsin.

Most notably, though, you spot a digital terminal near your door, its display glowing with strange alien text that quickly cycles through various forms before stopping on Common; and it is curious indeed.... At a second glance, you can see that each of the doors along this huge gallery have a similar terminal next to them, suggesting there are untold numbers of other simulation chambers sustaining other artificial worlds within the moon....

Holsin is in shock. Tears and confusion smear his otherwise stoic face. You can tell this is universe shattering to him. You empath---

"PERFECT!"

The moment is shattered by Wazasha.

"This is the PERFECT spot for a cliffhanger! Quickly. Quickly. come together for some final action poses!" Her ghoulish face gets serious. "Remember, that's the deal...."

Zed will try to scramble up Gideon's back so he can sit on his shoulder for the photoshoot.

Smikk runs next to Gideon and Zed, drawing his rifle. He plants his feet, facing away from the camera, but twists his torso so that the camera gets a profile view of his face. He then positions his rifle as if taking aim and holds that position.

Just after the camera crew takes the last set of pictures, Wazasha asks aloud, “How about we hear how they’re wrapping up the event in the studio?” She pulls up a program on her wrist computer, which plays the live audio feed with Zo! shouting excitedly.

“What a discovery! What a destination! What a band of unlikely heroes! What could lie deeper in Salvation’s End? Find out on the next episode of Live Exploration Extreme! when the Starfinder Society returns to—”

“What?” shouts Luwazi with alarm from near Zo!’s microphone. “That was not part of our deal, Zo! You can’t just add a sequel when we haven’t—”

Zo!’s voice insistently cuts back in. “Ha ha! And now a word from our sponsors!”

A booming add for Nova Solutions blares out of Wazasha’s computer before she closes the program, rolls her eyes, and orders the teams to retrace their way to the surface. She makes no mention of this fantastic new hallway and no mention of the Marbleheart dwarves and their fate....

Noble-44 nods, acknowledging Wazasha’s instructions. Strolls over and puts his hand on Holsin and heads to the group slowly.

He then switches, and quickly does a running back flip, landing with he group. With a smile he quips: ”Resolution....” and rips a shot at Goblin McGoblin face.

"No."

Gideon's voice is quiet, but firm. He stands aloof, his back to Wazasha, gazing out into the awesome vastness of this impossible chamber. "I am a Starfinder, charged with uncovering the mysteries of the multiverse so that they may be understood, harnessed, empowered. Ratings, your addiction, are meaningless in the contemplation of mystery. I care not for them."

"This dwarf, however," Gideon turns to Holsin, "holds in his soul deep wonders yearning to be understood. Holsin, the discovery of this space--this Sky--upsets you. Do not be troubled. The myths that have been weaved for you have fallen away now, yet you bear real power and the ties you have wrought for your clan are your own. Your fate is yours to command, free from the shackles of a forgotten destiny. Embrace your freedom, hold it tightly, for it is all you have in the deep black of infinity."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

"As for you, Wazasha," Gideon intones, "I will stand by my First Seeker. You have overstepped, and Zo! has made a promise to his fans without a contract to support it. If you wish to film a sequel... be prepared to pay dearly for it."

| The Death of Kortos IV | Fly Free or Die | | Ship Roles |

Seconds after Noble-44's incredible finale, Gideon's monologue strikes home. For the moment, Wazasha seems cowed. The film crew wraps up and the dwarves look to the Starfinders for guidance... Holsin agrees to return to the Lorespire to learn.

Back on the Exemplarion, Luwazi seems somewhat frazzled as she meets with you over the ending, and to hear your un-glamorized accounts of the expedition. She reports that Zo! is desperately trying to negotiate for additional filmed excursions after Gideon's ultimatum, but so far she’s left him with a curt “We’ll see.” Prior to dismissing you, Luwazi asks for YOUR thoughts on whether Live Exploration Extreme! should return for another episode or not...

The arrive back at Absalom Station shortly after the live broadcast reaches the Pact Worlds. Everyone gets invited as guests to a host of programs, game shows, nightclubs, and other events. Sadly, the fame only lasts for about a week, after which the news cycle quickly latches onto new short-term celebrities....

Congratulations on a completed mission Starfinders. Once I get your votes on a future episode, I'll have this wrapped up!

As long as we're exploring, I don't have any strong objection to another episode. I don't expect to be much of a fan favorite, but it seems like there could be some nice upside to have a bit of fame.

Spacey thinks to himself This reality TV gig is okay, but I'd rather do a other types of shows. Spacey starts snapping his fingers as he spitballs.

How about a couple of skilled computer programmers, who live in some secret foggy area like we just saw, and they try to hilariously predict the future. You could call it Outlook Cloudy

Spacey nods to himself, trying to come up with more clever shows. Then he perks up.

Or...an advice show, led by an android named Dr Fil. Call it Androidos and Androidon'ts!

Slowly, Spacey shakes his head and concentrates. Then...

Maybe a late night show, with a mechanic and his drone as hosts. They drive around picking up passengers like a taxi, and talk about naughty stuff. R2-D2hotforTV. Perfect name eh?

Wearing a smirk, you can tell he was proud of that one.

A show where inventors try to bust through armor with customized projectiles. I got it...Get off my KAC!

Now he is just blabbering...

Ooh...how about a team of high ranking priests in the Triune church are on a space ship. Follow me so far? They are doing well, and traveling the galaxy, trying to spread the word. They get bored and start wishing they were back in The Drift. Typical priests...amirite? As they head back, they get caught in a SCARY BLACK HOLE! People freak out and decide to just have fun. They shoot across the universe or to another dimension or something..and everything turns out fine. The show is about them living a fun life. Call it..wait for it... call it...are you waiting? Call it ...Black Holy

Spacey's player sees himself out.

Don't make me do weird funny stuff just for TV and I'm okay with another.

Noble-44’s conflict shows across his face....

”The chance to promote my church across the greater population is very appealing. Savain being a god who, until recently, decided to keep silent does mean few know of him. I’ve yet to find any other person he’s touched beside myself. Blessed I am yes, but the burden is large. Yet... having the crew around feels like more of a burden and danger. I feel fairly certain that their requests and presence would like lead to my own harm... which definitely goes against my beliefs. Not to mention, what if I or we failed.... is much easier to tarnish the Starfinder when we’re trying to rebuild.

No, I think I’m okay with this being the first and last episode.”

Looks like some will be back, and others are calling it a career.

Well played! I'll be taking a break for a bit as I'm out of the country April 18-May 2. Will start back up with some Windy Fellowship SFS then!
