R1G5 tries to get fancy, but the creature isn't fooled. It doesn't stop the android from connecting with a shot though!
Janzo tries to wrap his own power around the creature's mind, but can't actually find one as he understands it.
Dunklezahn heads for solo combat, carving a deep gash that causes a sticky green liquid to pour forth! The vesk knows he can finish the monster with another hit like that!
Dunk's foe cracks it's tentacles forth, trying to fight back desperately Tentacles: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17, but the attack is feeble.
To the north the beast rears back and then thunders towards R1G5! Tentacles: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13but the cover of the stump and some luck lead to naught.

KSARIK! A plant creature native to Castrovel. You've seen it attack with tentacles, but you also saw it shoot a dart from its tail and spit a ball of acid.

It's got a smidge of fast healing. It has normal plant immunity (akin to Pathfinder.) Green.

Torin Janzi |

The closer the you get to the Temple of the Twelve, the more noticeably steep the trek becomes. By the time you are within a half day’s travel from the site, the jungle thins out slightly and the ground rises, giving way to a stretch of verdant, rolling foothills crisscrossed by meandering creeks with sources in the striking peaks of the Singing Range to the north and west.
You soon reach the ruins of what Halkueem Zan called the “Forsaken City." After the elves abandoned the site long ago, their homes crumbled, windblown soil accumulated, and plants took root, creating a graveyard of pyramids studding the landscape that rise between 2 and 25 feet in height. With hundreds of structures, Loskialua represents a rare archaeological treasure that would require years of dedicated fieldwork to excavate and document.... If only that were your mission.
Of greater interest to you, as pointed out by Rogo, your translator, though, is the intact temple and observatory—the Temple of the Twelve—perched hundreds of feet up the side of Alhuenar Spire, one of the Singing Range’s highest mountains.
For arriving at the temple with a minimum of delays, the party earns 1,200 XP.
Sine mora you approach. Your time in the jungles here has been less than pleasant, and for some of you, the call of the stars stirs.
Standing imperiously on a promontory partway up the mountainside is a temple of elegantly sculpted stone with a single domed tower rising from its center. Expanses of the structure’s weathered exterior bear scores of tall, glass-paned windows that cause the facade to shimmer in the sunlight. Wide stairs are carved into the rock face, winding back and forth as they ascend to the temple from the ruins below.
Map is updated. You're on the bottom right. I need a marching order. We advance when ready, though we may pause at some point as The Gathering draws near.

Booker Broadshaw |

"Not a bad spot, this," Booker allows. He frowns and checks his rifle. "No sign of our quarry, though."
Suggested marching order: Booker, Dunklezahn, Janzi, Gig, Hack-it, R1G5. Booker can switch with R1G5 if the android would prefer to lead.

Hack-It |

"I asked for a room with a view," Hack-It jokes, trying to make light of the weariness that's set in. "These elves better deliver."
The mechanic checks his ammo situation, muttering. "Think we can have a stretch where we're not shooting at something?"
Marching order works for me.

The climb is steep—you think purposefully so. The ascent appears to have hidden numerous traps-most seem to be disabled recently, whereas others had fallen apart with time. Having no idea of the temple’s true purpose, Halkueem Zan called this pathway the “Stairs to Eternity.”
Hack-it almost immediately regrets his musing.
On the landing is what's left of a fresh lashunta body. Towering over it is a monstrous eel-esque creature. Life Science to ID. It's clearly almost done it's feast, despite ravenous bites. Seeing you, it turns for an even bigger caloric windfall.
