Seeing Kent down in a heap after the altar's attacks, Whims couldn't help but quip.
"Gives a whole meaning to Down for prayer doesn't it? Anyone wants to go help bring him up? Looks like the altar is going after the decoy?" as she takes a defensive posture ready to move at the slightest notice.

The unconscious, Kent feels increasingly cold grasp of death reach for his mortal coil.

Jayori Directs the unseen servant carrying the faux-vial to leave the central room.

The Animated alter follows squeezing out the secret door and taking useless swipes at the unseen servant decoy.

Remaining outside the transport, Lannior gives the dog another treat. He doesn't see any of the returning guards yet and it will be a while before the unconscious defenders wakeup.

Taking a defensive posture, Whims is ready to dodge if the alter attacks her.

Stepping up, Tatiana cast a magic spell that stabilizes Kent and points out the ‘x’ on the tile near the half elf fighter.

Stepping forward Whims retrieves the vial and secrets it away into a pouch. The animated Alter can’t see the vial in her possession so continues to target the decoy vial held by the unseen servant.

Crouching beside kent, Celebdan lays his hands on the unconscious Kent healing some of his wounds, but he remains unconscious. (at -1)

Keeping an eye on the Altar and his unseen servant, Jayori keeps the Construct out of the way allowing the others to get away.

Outside, Lannior waits for the others to finish retrieving the elixir.

With the Altar distracted, the group can act freely to in order to escape the transport with the vial.

Making a run for it, Whims exits the transport without drawing the attention of the animated altar.

Feed another treat to the guard dog, Lannior watches as his fellow pathfinders emerge.

Moving Along:

The crew manages to revive Kent and exit the transport. The animated altar returns to its assigned guard position within the center room once the unseen servant dissipates. Your crew of pathfinders quickly leave the ambush scene before any of the guards return.

Later that day meeting at the prearranged location with Lady Ziralia for a debriefing she ask ”Please give me details about how your surveillance how you learned what from whom, How the operation went, any suggestions on improving the security and if you noticed anything suspicious during the reconnaissance or ambush?”

To be honest, it was way too simple to integrate into the guard force and find out there defense plans. That's definitely a weakness. Also the fact that the guards could be disbursed by Dancing Lights is pretty poor. Why would they ever let leave the coach area. Lannior says candidly.

"Leaving keys to the locks was yet another failure though the mechanism for opening the secret door was ingenious. No one would have caught on to it unless they were on the compound itself and noticed the worker's movements. The altar though gave Kent here a good whalloping but it could be avoided as well. I'll leave the details to that to the others." grins Whims and yet another wink towards Lannior and Jayori.

Jayori ponders Lady Ziralia's questions.

"As Lannior mentioned, it was way too easy to get inserted into the preparations." He observes. "You need a far more stringent vetting process."

"And we were not the only suspicious characters checking out the operation from inside." He glances over towards Celebdan, to let him explain this bit, as he actually interacted with the suspicious halfling character.

"Do you know a Prince Zinlo?" Jayori adds, later, once Celebdan is done. "During one of the guards' off nights, there were some strangers who seemed to be testing their allegiances. They mentioned trying to get them to go work for a Zinlo up in Aspenthar."

"Though whether there words were true or more of a ruse I could not say." He amends.

I think Kent found connections to Aspenthar nobles during one of his investigations into the halfling Boss lady... I'll let him interject that bit here!

"The construct was far too easy to circumvent." He continues. "You need to give it far more stringent activation instructions. We bypassed it with a few simple cantrips and a blanket."

And teach the dogs the exclusive trick!

One must be sure of the loyalty of guards and workers. Self no good at deception, yet still given trusted position in guard detail. Wagon should have outriders to scout for ambush. Guards with bows should be inside wagon to shoot out. Golem should not be so easy to fool. Controller for golem should be in wagon. If given no commands by controller, golem should kill all living until new controller give new commands.

Giving his opinions, Lannior details the weaknesses they exploited in spying and the ambush.

Adding details, Whims comments on poor security in the workshop, but complements the secret door trigger.

Making suggest, Jayori list a more stringent vetting process. He references other suspicious characters a halfling and strangers plying guards with drinks trying to get them to work for Zinio in Aspenthar.

Giving his advice, Hadanka suggest several improvements to the caravan security.

In response to Jayori’s question ‘Do you know Prince Zinlo?’, Lady Ziralia smiles as she replies, ”Apparently not as well as I though, He is my father, but fear not I believe in the sovereignty of independent city-states including Pashow. “.

Her mood darkens as she continues, ”As for the other spies, the agents I hired to monitor the heist also spotted another team lurking around the convoy’s route. I had hoped the interlopers were merely travelers lost in the desert, but with your information I believe there is another plot under ways to steal the real sun orchid elixir. Would you accept one further task from me to discretely track the interloper conspirators back to their camp and end their plot by what ever means necessary?”

Hadanka, Lannior, Whims and Tatiana all eagerly agree to track the interlopers down.

Following the spies’ trail during the day is simple leading to a camp near an oasis. Four dun-colored tents surround a small campfire, clustered beneath gaunt palm trees along the eastern bank of a shallow oasis. Two large pavilions loom over the rest of the camp: one dyed bright orange, the other emblazoned with the Aspis Consortium’s serpent insignia.

As the pathfinders stealthly approach the Aspis guards notice and raise the alarm ”To Arms!”, Moving forward to intercept they both draw and drink a potion.

Ivira moves forward "Dispose of them quickly men!" drawing her hand crossbow and firing at Celebdan, but the bolt bounces off his armor missing him, leaving behind a green oily smear.

Shifting forward, Lannior just misses the human Aspis leader due to soft cover from the others.

Also adjusting, Kent sends a volley of two arrows hitting Ivira with one moderately wounding her.

Continuing to skulk around, Whims watches for an opportunity.

Both the Green and Cyan robed guards strike out at their assailants using a flurry of unarmed strikes. The Green one hits Hadanka with a critical to the chest followed by a round round. The Cyan one misses Jayori with both strikes.
