As he approaches the pirates, he summons his arcane power, channelling the power into his blade making the already crackling scimitar glow with electrical surge. He swings at the pirate toward the fore of the ship.

Seltyiel will take a move action to get onto the boarding ship then take a standard action to cast Shocking Grasp defensively and deliver the spell with his Spellstrike ability. Here goes nothing...

Concentration Check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16

The excitement of battle, combined with being burned, breaks Seltyiel's concentration, and the spell fizzles as the makes his attack. He grits his teeth and readies himself for another attack.

Failed concentration check. I believe that would also negate his attack. Been getting bum luck on the rolls so far. Hopefully I am due for some crits soon. And thanks for the advice Gronk, will definitely try that next.

Gronk rips the Hobgoblin to shreds.

Seeing the hobgoblin downed, the buccaneer drop theirs swords. And the galvo withdraws back into the waters. Saint Germaine and the celestial cat can take AOO's if you want.

One of the bucanneers drops to his knees, begging forgiveness. We give up. We were merely following orders. With Golgatak slain, we do not wish to fight. If you want, we can tell you where the key is to Faroon's treasure hold is.

Captain Benarry returns at this point from the other ship. Where is Faroon.

The sailor, visibly shaken begins to speak,She left ahead of us, about an hour ago. We were to keep you busy while she heads to the gloomspires.

One of Benarry's men brings a journal to her. After skimming the most recent page. This is bad. It appears that Faroon as kidnapped and interrogated a pathfinder. Not just any agent though, the contact I use to communicate with the society. Faroon now has maps and details of the gloomspires.

"The situation has changed a bit,” Captain Benarry says, eyeing her crew as they begin making necessary repairs. “I originally intended to join you for this trip into the tomb. But with the Pixie taking on water and all of this other damage—not to mention the time it will take to thoroughly search the Black Whispe —I’m going to ask you to venture into the tomb on your own.
“Your primary goal is the same: explore Hrethnar’s Throne. I want every inch of the third level of Old Sevenfingers’s tomb thoroughly mapped and documented.”
Benarry pauses for a moment, and then lowers her voice. “Feristal Faroon’s involvement certainly throws a goose in the rigging. I know you’re not hired killers, but she and her team must be taken out. She knows too much and this tomb holds some dangerous secrets. If she ever decided to sell her secrets to our enemies, the Society could suffer greatly and everything we’ve worked for here would be for naught.
“Also, find out how Faroon gained access to the tomb. There are only two ways I know of to secure access: wait for the solstice, or use the Orb of Stars, which I have right here. As you can see,”
she says, gesturing to the spires as they shift into different positions again, “the Gloomspires are still moving. If Faroon has indeed reached the tomb already, she and her team have somehow figured out a way to reach them safely and accurately, even when the damned things shift. Faroon’s smart—a lot smarter than me— so I’m thinking she’s uncovered a secret way to reach the spires that we don’t know about. I want that information.”

You may need this. Benarry then hands the PC's the Orb of Stars, Also take these, She then hands each of you a packet of what looks like moss, it should help when you get to the Oblivion Shaft. Keeps you from feeling the ill effects of negative energy it contains

Knowledge (arcana) or Knowledge (history): To recall the knowledge about the gloomspires.

15+:
The Gloomspires are an ancient field of massive stone columns that rise from the Arcadian Ocean. Most sages say they were already old when the Ghol-Gan Empire was young. The Gloomspires are hollow and contain many chambers and passages, all of which are believed to be cursed, monster-infested, or both.

20+:
Since the time of the Ghol-Gan Empire, many of the Gloomspires have been explored, and some have even been claimed and repurposed by other beings. Of these, Sevenfingers’s tomb is the most well known.

25+: The Gloomspires are inundated with strange, reality warping effects. The columns occasionally shift their positions, and many explorers report feeling a sense of wrongness and foreboding just from being in the area. This bizarre magic also makes teleportation and plane-traveling magic very difficult, though summoning spells tend to function normally.[/spoiler:

[spoiler=30+] A humanoid race of powerful sorcerers called the Makers constructed the Gloomspires during the Age of Serpents. The Makers are believed to have fled to Golarion to escape enslavement in a nightmarish realm.

15+:
Sempet Sevenfingers was a legendary pirate who was active in the region 300 years ago.

20+:
From his dreaded flagship, the Voracious, Sevenfingers commanded a small fleet of pirate ships. His practice of using kuru cannibals to augment his boarding parties inspired fear and hatred across the Shackles.

25+:
Sevenfingers was a powerful wizard who dabbled in necromancy and communed with evil outsiders, entities from the Dark Tapestry, and other beings from unspeakable realms beyond Golarion.

30+:
Sevenfingers had dealings with the denizens of Leng. His flagship, the Voracious, was actually a black ship of Leng, gifted to Sevenfingers by his dreadful allies.

Ok, thanks

Whiskers, I don't like the looks of this shaft. So I am going to send you away for another bit.

Some one recalls the captain telling you that you have to chew the moss. As for the shaft, the captain did not know too much about it, just that it was full of negative energy.

As for the falling or floating some one will just have to figure that part out.

Seltyiel grabs a bit of the moss. Sniffing it first, he grimaces and chews a bit of the leaves.

"Not the worst thing I have eaten. Well, does anyone have a suggestion?"

Chewing on his weed as well like one might a cheekfull of tobaco, Saint Germain takes out a pair of ropes and ties them together, then looks around for a rock. Using his Shining Wayfinder to first scan the shaft for evil, he casts Light on the rock, and lowers it down into the shaft, trying to see just how far down it goes, and also if there are any pathways down there.

(Have Darkvision 60 ft, but can go 95ft with the ropes and Light).

The rope descends down into the darkness. Soon even passed Saint Germaine's vision.

Deeper than 95 feet and as for evil. Nothing really stands out. And I am not sure if negative energy is inherently evil. If it is than, just detects the sparking of negative energy.

It is not in itself Evil, but the vast majority of the time Negative Energy/Necromancy is either a part of or used for something very evil.

Before pulling it back up, he will find another pebble and cast Light on it, sending it down to try to gage just how deep the shaft is, how much further it falls beyond the rope, just to add a note to his journal for now.

"Well then, shall we try this other door?"

If no one has any other ideas, the knight will make his way towards the only other exit from this room, his sword out and ready, but also offering light for the others.

The second pebble drops into the shaft. A second or two later you hear a tiny clack as it hits another hard surface. You guess it is a few hundred feet down.

Saint Germain moves to other door, finding it to be jammed by an unnatural force. The area beyond this door is outside the scope of this adventure. Pretty much, you have to figure a way down the shaft.

"I have a solution, but it will take a minute."

He pulls a scroll of fly, chews his moss, and tells the gnome and the magus to climb on..

"If someone else can fly then we can get this done. I have another scroll if absolutely necessary though."

He then carries them to the bottom, returning to get the rest of the crew after.. That is if there isn't an ambush at the bottom..

Looks like heavily encumbered 60' movement is 40', fly spell is 60' and you can descend twice as fast right? So 80' a round? I would like to add that his heavy upper is 520 pounds, so he can maybe carry 3 people if one is the gnome.

Wembly calls out in glee

That will work. I can cast fly on Ariana if she is willing to carry me down. I can do so for someone else burly as well. But two is all I can cast for today.

Using the scroll and 2 cast fly spells on the 3 strongest, probably all 6 can get down I'd hope.
