bite, dex, slam, slam: 1d8 + 3d6 ⇒ (2) + (4, 4, 6) = 16

The group focus on one, but with one swipe, Saint Germaine's brilliant weapon disintegrates the mummy into dust.

The remaining mummy focuses on Ariana, missing with the first bite, but connecting with the other, plus its two slams. Ariana takes 22 points of damage. And 4 points of Dex drain, DC 20 fort save, reduces it to 1 point.

Seltyiel, unfortunately that looks correct.

It has got to be getting close...unless this one is tougher than the first. But they looked about the same. Unless it is feeding off the injuries it deals to us. Which that is spooky, I know. But I have seen it happen. But I think those were incorporealie thingies.

He considers firing a blob of acid down at the creature, but figures his aim may not be good enough to keep from hitting friendlies.

The ferocity of Gronk and the Celestial Lion take down the final mummy.

Now with a chance to explore you all notice the throne and a brass plaque is affixed to the base of the throne inscribed with the following words in the Common tongue: “Behold, Hrethnar’s throne. Cold and empty, befitting a traitor.” Above this plaque is an empty compartment with a shallow key-shaped storage cavity.

These two long chambers on either side of the throne room are nearly identical. Each contains a long, 10-foot-deep trough carved into the stone floor that runs the length of one wall. Each trough is filled with a vile bubbling black sludge that reeks of salt water and rotten meat and radiates strong necromancy to spells such as detect magic. Though icy cold to the touch, the sludge is harmless to living creatures.

DC 25 Knowledge (arcana) or Spellcraft:

If a humanoid body is placed in the sludge, a week later it will reanimate as if create dead was cast
The eastern trough there are several corpses in the liquid. Several destroyed swamp mummies lay on the floor.

The western trough contains two bloodstained corpses that still look freshly dead. A female that appears varisian and a male that appears to be keleshite. They have not yet been submerged.

You find an empty handyhaversack. A Falchion made from silver and a +1 mithril shirt

The group moves down a long hall, which its dimensions would not seem to physically fit inside the spires, but ends at a set of unlocked double doors.

Take a moment to recover. Remember that was all dex drain, not damage.

Wembly smiles as the second mummy thing drops.

He flies down to the party and the lion.

I hope there are no more of those. We better have a look around. Well,
we found the Throne at least. I don't like the idea of resting her.
Do we think this is the pirate lady, whats her name, we were looking for? Faroon? And does she have a key or notes on how she did this?
he points and casts detect magic on the pair as he looks around.

perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

I am assuming with our party assets, we are not going to be able heal the ability damage, at least not today...

After checking the bodies, and setting the lion on guard, Wembly will get out a logbook and map the room while the party heals.
