Apologies on not getting everything up until today. I got handed a 30 page RFP yesterday, due today, and had to get that done before spending too much time here. Now that we are moving, we should be able to keep momentum going, and I'm typically a more than once a day poster from my side. Would love to see at least one post a day from everyone, but happy to move faster if we can.

I think I've got an idea of what is going on here, but its all out of character knowledge. Without skill points in history or arcana, or an established background as s reader of mysteries and horror fiction, I'm not sure my pc would make the same connections I have.
At worst I can be sure that Tanin is starting to suspect that we are up against a hard time limit with this investigation and that thinks are a lot worse than we were led to belive. As for what we should do right now I think a quick search of each room to check for other threats or maybe even missing people should be done before an in depth search for clues.
We don't want an innocent bleeding out in a closet, a villain sneaking out a back window, or being attacked by something coming out of a side door because we didn't act fast enough. Quick search now, in depth search once we've secured the house.

Since we are one room away from the end of this, I wanted to discuss chronicle options that are popular with this...
1) Normal Track
Gallows Part 1: 3xp (gets you to level 2 before part 2)
Gallows Part 2: 3xp (gets you to level 3 before part 3)
Gallows Part 3: 3xp (gets you to level 4)
Bonus Chronicle: 3xp (gets you to level 5)
Pros: You have a level 5 character at the end of the module.
Cons: You use up your non-evergreen plays of both Part 2 and Part 3.
2) Slow-Slow-Normal Track
Gallows Part 1: 1.5xp (keeps you level 1 for part 2)
Gallows Part 2: 1.5xp (gets you to level 2 before part 3)
Gallows Part 3: 3xp (gets you to level 3)
Bonus Chronicle: 3xp (gets you to level 4)
Pros: Only uses up your part 3 non-evergreen play. Still gets you to level 4 at the end of the day.
Cons: Doesn't get you to level 5 at the end. You don't advance between parts 1 and 2.
The reason a lot of people like to use the second option is that these three parts can be played in any order. This means you can play three times, making sure each of the three parts is the last played for one playthrough, and you can get 3 characters to 4th level out of it without using any replays.
We are playing this core, so this might not matter to you as much. (You may not have 3 core characters you want to advance), but I wanted to make sure I laid out options before writing up the first chronicle sheets in case anyone wants to be on slow track.

I think the biggest concern is leveling out of the content. I was under the impression that all three parts are build for level 1-2 characters. If we take normal progression won't we be overleveled for part 3?

Polling the party. I'm looking at rebuilding Manus as a wizard. However, since I can only purchase one wand between these missions, I wanted to see if people would be okay with me mooching cure light wounds for the next scenario, so that I can get a Wand of Magic Missile with prestige.
If not, then I'll likely get scrolls, potions, or purchase a 2nd wand with gold instead.
Of course, my goal is to just stay within 30 ft of Tanin and otherwise stay far away from actual foes. :)

Normal track (I think everyone is normal this time)
Day Job Checks: Take 10 on craft weapons for 14
Just a question, if I take a level in ranger, I can use ranger wands even though I am level one and my wisdom is 10?
