The six of you return to Amara Li to present her with the jade katana retrieved. You are once again invited to her sitting room, served tea to drink. She humbly accepts the katana from you, offering thanks for the service well done. As you watch she opens a secret compartment in the hilt of the katana and removes out a series of parchments.
"This is the true value of the jade katana. My thanks go to you, for I shall be in your debt for it's recovery. The six of you shall always be welcome within the Lantern Lodge."
If anyone has any questions or follow-up RP, feel free to do so. Just trying to complete all the wrap up I can. I'll do another event below.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the six of you take your leave of Amara Li, you are approached by Major Maldris. "I have heard of your actions with the ghoul on your last mission. I know it was difficult,” he says. “The undead sometimes cling to life, but they always turn to evil. This was a hard lesson that I felt you had to learn, to better serve the common good. As Pathfinders, we should always serve the common good and always fight for freedom.”
Daniel von Dorn |
Daniel agrees with the Amara Li decision
"Milady, perhaps you'd be interested to know that the katana was in possession of a strange creature, which seemed to be not of this world." Daniel proceeds to describe the blinding frog.
to the Major
"It is a pity that our clerics cannot find a way to grant mercy to such creatures. Watching what was left of her good soul being utterly consumed by the unspeakable curse was loathsome."
Amadeo Noskero |
"I'll admit I feel just a little bit curious about the documents you just retrieved from this hilt, Lady Li" Amadeo Noskero says with a gracious smile.
In other words: that's an invitation to tell, but if the lady prefers to keep her secrets, that's fine by me too.
Diplomacy check to convey the meaning of Amadeo's words to Amara Li and to be generally gracious to her: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 1 = 26
Note: Amadeo is definitely Charming
Blessed with good looks, you've come to depend on the fact that others find you attractive. You gain a +1 trait bonus when you use Bluff or Diplomacy on a character that is (or could be) sexually attracted to you, and a +1 trait bonus to the save DC of any language-dependent spell you cast on such characters or creatures.
Amara Li
"Nothing of much importance to yourselves but of great importance to the Lantern Lodge. An ancient trade agreement which will help fund our activities here. I would like to reiterate that you all have done a great deed for us today."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Major Maldris
"Sadly the greatest mercy we can grant at present is a swift death. Remember that if you should ever face the forces of undeath again."
GM Xzaral |
Meeting with Aaqir goes well, his acceptance of the recovered trade agreements met with great zeal. The conversation continues on for a moment before reaching a question. "I had heard you managed to uncover a jade katana during your investigation. I was wondering if perhaps I could have a gander at such a piece?"
GM Xzaral |
"A pity, but no, that is quite all right. The item contained within was an ancient trade agreement between one of my ancestors and an organizaion called the the Way of the Kirin. I had hoped to lay claim to it, but it matters not at this point. You have all done an excellent job on your mission and should be rewarded as such. Please, drink and tell me what you plan for the future. Qadira can always use good allies."
This is the last part of the adventure. You can continue on with any additional RP you want, but leave a post in discussion when ready and I'll get the Chronicle sheets ready.
Wuse Guy |
Did he say drink. He definitely said drink.
Don't mind if I do good sir. Don't mind if I do at all.
Wuse proceeds to get smashingly drunk and have a gloriously good time. He wakes up tomorrow in a gutter forgetting almost all he just did, with just a slight glimmer of remembrance of his companions.
Talor Blackstone |
I will have a drink as well, thank you. That dungeon has left me with quite a thirst.
Talor drinks deeply, enough to get a nice buzz but not so much that he can't still remember Wuse Guy's drunken revelry.
Amadeo Noskero |
Amadeo joins in on the inebriated fun. He's quite a good guy to party with, telling jokes and laughing in good humor at other people's jokes.
Alas, impressed by Wuse Guy's drinking prowess, he manly tries to keep up with the dwarf - and fails miserably.
In the middle of the night, he has a brief moment of liquored anguish pertaining to something his family did in Lastwall (that sounds ghastly and involves demons, but it's hard to tell, really, between the opinionated shouts and the bouts of manic laughter).
Finally, he falls in an inevitable ethylic coma, which fortunately does not kill him, but leaves him in the morning with the mother of all hangovers.
Good times, all in all.
Astarton Columbridge |
Astarton keeps the party going with a large dose of puns and lame jokes. Since most everyone is sort of or entirely drunk, he is more funny than he ordinarily would be.
