Satinder curses under her breath as she hears the cries of Plugg.
"That idiotic b+*!& of a whore's ass!"
She begins pulling the oars in tandem with Chumtooth.
"I don't know <humpf> whether to wish she survives <humpf> until we get there, or hope she's dead <humpf> so I don't have to kill <humpf> her myself.. By Gorum's <humpf> hairy ass!"

Distraction (Su): At 1st level, a bard can use his performance to counter magic effects that depend on sight. Each round of the Distraction, he makes a Perform (act, comedy, dance, or oratory) skill check. Any creature within 30 feet of the bard (including the bard himself) that is affected by an illusion (pattern) or illusion (figment) magical attack may use the bard’s Perform check result in place of its saving throw if, after the saving throw is rolled, the Perform check result proves to be higher. If a creature within range of the Distraction is already under the effect of a non-instantaneous illusion (pattern) or illusion (figment) magical attack, it gains another saving throw against the effect each round it sees the Distraction, but it must use the bard’s Perform check result for the save. Distraction does not work on effects that don’t allow saves. Distraction relies on visual components.

With Chumtooth and Satinder pulling hard on the oars, the jolly boat moves closer to the larger vessel. Though the crew half expects a hail of crossbow bolts to greet them, there are none. Apparently something on deck has distracted the bulk of the crew.
Scourge smiles a toothy grin. "Oh, ye'll regret that action, little girl. I'll fillet ye and feed what's left to the sharks!"
The rest of the crew gathers round the two combatants, but they seem content to let Scourge face the brave bard alone, as opposed to interfering.
Alwen, you begin your climb and can join the fight next round. Dantes, Chumtooth, Satinder, and Bangkha (and Cat) approach in the jolly boat and will arrive in one round.

With Alwen's attack on Plugg, several of the sailors loyal to Plugg and Scourge gather up weapons and join the melee, but they are quickly met by those sailors loyal to the heroes. A grand melee breaks out on deck (all squares are now considered difficult terrain).
Ayaki continues to chip away at Scourge, the ship's master seems to be losing ground as well as blood, but Alwen's hasty shots both miss the agile Plugg, who steps up to the elf archer to return the favor.
Scourge manages to miss Ayaki again, but Alwen is hit by Plugg once more! Alwen takes 8 points of damage!

Bugger. Difficult Terrain means no 5 foot steps. Oh well.
Alwen keeps up his bravado despite being wounded twice, dropping his bow now that it had become too crowded to step back, and pulling his boarding axe out. "Surrender, you foul scum, or I will make you bleed and throw you into sharkinfested waters!

Ayaki slashes again at Scourge, drawing another thin line of blood across the man's chest. The pirate is obviously tiring and is bleeding from several cuts, now. Alwen's axe takes with it a chunk of flesh and Plugg swears beneath his breath.
Chumtooth vaults the gunwhale and snaps at Plugg, but misses. Satinder is more successful in her efforts and plunges her blade into Plugg, who roars in anger.
Scourge makes another strike at Ayaki, but still manages to miss the agile (or incredibly lucky) bard. Plugg lands a solid strike against Satinder, making a deep cut in her side, just above the kidney. Satinder takes 9 points of damage.
Bangkha joins the combat, lashing out at Plugg with his club and making a solid blow against the man's bald head! In the same moment, a pirate attacks Satinder from behind, jabbing a shortsword blade between her ribs. Satinder takes 4 points of damage.

Satinder curses as she is flanked by both the pirate and Plugg at the same time. She curses louder as she drops her weapon, and takes the boarding pike she thought would be useless.
She looks at Alwen and Chumtooth.
"I cannot move easily. Mind freeing me up from these two fools?" she says between her teeth, trying not to fall over. She focusses on the "captain", trying to end the fight quicker so Ayaki can help them.
Her boarding pike lances out, and strikes Scourge in the back. Satinder puts her weight into it and hopes it will have been enough.
"Where is that bloody dwarf?" she mutters under her breath, gasping for air.

Ayaki plunges her blade into Scourge one final time and his eyes widen in surprise. He drops to the deck, both knees hitting simultaneously, then falls face-first to the boards.
Chumtooth sinks his teeth in Plugg's shoulder, causing the Bosun to cry out in pain. Seeing Scourge go down before Ayaki's onslaught, Satinder opts to keep her weapon and attacks Plugg instead (same die rolls). The Bosun grunts as Satinder's cut opens his stomach, but he forces himself to fight on.
Plugg makes a panicked swing at Chumtooth, slashing the kuru across the chest. (Chumtooth takes 8 points of damage.) Seconds later, Alwen's axe slams down on the pirate, bringing him low. A cheer goes up from several of the crew. With Plugg and Scourge downed, the remainder of the pirates loyal to them quickly surrender or are dispatched, leaving you victorious!

Chumtooth
Chumtooth gives a bloodthirsty howl as the battle ends. He drops his morningstar and runs his hand across the bloody gash in his chest.
He shows his bloody hand to the assembled crew, and then draws his kukri. He kneels down beside Plugg's body and cuts away his shirt and jacket. He then inserts the point into the joint of the man's shoulder and begins sawing through the skin, muscle, and tendons. With a sickening pop, the arm comes free, and Chumtooth holds it aloft for all to see.
"This is the hand that Plugg used to whip Chumtooth. This is the arm of one who would make us slaves. Now the slaver is nothing but MEAT!"
With his final word, Chumtooth bites into the flesh, tearing away bloody red chunks, allowing the blood to run down his chin.
Satinder Morne
"Ayaki, who made you captain?" Satinder says, her hand still soaked with blood and holding the sword, twitching.
"You endangered all of us by not sticking to the plan. You might have been lucky, you might have killed Scourge, but that does not make you the best to lead us.. If anything, you should be punished so as to learn we are all part of the same crew, and we do not endanger eachother without cause!"
Satinder will walk up to the kitsune, and stare her down.
"I don't even care what everyone says, or who they chose to lead this vessel. Know this, you @@@.. If you EVER do anything like that again, not even Chumtooth will be able to stop me in gutting you like the rotten fish that is between your legs!"
She spits in front of her feet, and turns to the others.
"You can choose, my friends. Follow this loose cannon who has no respect except for her own glory, or choose a crewmember who actually cares about this ship and considers you all her family."
With this, she walks next to Chumtooth and quietly says..
If I go too far, let me know guys.
Satinder is not exactly the forgiving type, and I reckon with the near-death experience and the adrenaline of this fight, her dark side comes up a bit more :)
Chumtooth
Chumtooth gives Satinder a bloody smile, then drops the arm to the deck with wet thud. He then kneels and proceeds to expertly remove Plugg's head. Unconcerned by the amount of blood pooling on the deck, he holds the grisly prize out to Alwen.
"Alwen may claim the trophy...Al...you..landed the killing blow. Chu...I can shrink it for you, to wear around you..your neck."

Since the captaincy seems to be up in the air, Dantes will hand the boatswain whistle to Chumtooth and quietly say "Perhaps we best get the water supplies on board and get underway. The group of us can convene in the captain's quarters to figure out our next steps."
Dantes will bring the items recovered from the slain leaders down to the captain's quarters. Once there, he'll lay them out on his desk or table. When everyone is there, he'll go through the items and explain their enchantments and/or estimated values.
Chumtooth
Chumtooth nods, and drops Plugg's head into Alwen's hands.
"Yes Dantes. Let us load the ship."
He looks to the sailors still standing around staring at the bloody aftermath.
"Put away your weapons. Go back to your work. We prepare to sail NOW!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Without another word, he moves purposefully to the longboat and begins moving barrels of water onboard.
Dantes Goldforge
"Thank you, Chumtooth."
He turns to the others. "Well, captains, shall we resume this in private, and decide who captains this ship, and who captains the next one we bring under our dominion?"
Alwen Gaelarean
Alwen takes his time to watch the two women quarrel for a bit about who would lead the ship as captain now. He's more concerned about those who are left loyal to Plugg having surrendered. The elf wipes the blood off of his ax and picks up his bow, heading down to speak to the rest of the crew.
He does pause long enough to look at the grisly trophy that Chumtooth hands to him, grinning at the kuru and taking it. "Why, thank you friend," He says to him, before walking over to the surrendered pirates and giving them a look.
Honestly, they couldn't trust them. And he was sure a couple of them tried to kill him as well. He strings an arrow on his bow and smiles at them.
"I'm a sporting fellow, so rather than execute the lot of you, I'll give you all a chance. If you can swim all the way back to the island from here, you'll probably survive for a bit longer." He looks to the rest of the crew who were his allies. "Toss this lot overboard, and if anyone of them stops swimming to the island, feel free to practice your marksmanship skills," He tells the others before turning away and heading to the captain's quarters.
Once inside, the elf's smile drops as he looks at both Satinder and Ayaki. "You know, there's a time and a place to decide ranks, and it is not immediately after a successful mutiny," He states to both women. "The last thing we need is the rest of the crew second-guessing their choices today. After all, we can't exactly pilot this ship on our own."
He walks over to the captain's desk and sits on its edge, looking at the nominees. "So, seeing as both of you have made claims to captaincy in front of the whole crew, I can see two options here. One, you can both duel for the position. First blood, loser accepts whatever position the winner and captain deems it. It will strengthen the winner's position as captain to the rest of the crew as well. Or two, and I really don't think you should, you can try co-captaining. That is a terrible idea, and the only time I've ever seen it happen and work was when the captains were twin brothers. Also lovers, but that's entirely beside the point. Simply abdicating the position to one or the other opens up grievances from those of the crew who favor one or the other. The captain must show strength to their crew, to make hard choices for the good of the ship. I trust that both of you understand this?"

The crew that had been loyal to Plugg and Scourge take Alwen at his word and clamor over the railing and into the water. They make for the island as if they were being pursued by fiendish sharks. Nary a one stops swimming until he has reached the beach.
Satinder Morne
When they are alone, Satinder seems to have calmed down, if only a little.
"I am sorry, my friends. My temper can he harsh, especially when someone does something so rash and foolish it could have been the end of my life, and that of my comrades.
Life is precious enough to try and save, at least for those who believe in the values as I do."
She looks at Ayaki, quite scornful and obviously still angry, but doing her best to conceal it.
"Co-captaining is the worst idea in history, and you know it Alwen. Ne'er has there been a ship worthy of the name pirate that has done well. Only one of us can be captain and command the respect of the others. I like your other idea, pointy-ears. We will settle this in three days time, at high noon."
She continues, her voice a little softer and seemingly calm, though below the surface her rage was still peeking.
"Should you win, I will serve as a decent member of the crew. Should I win, I will expect the same... Or you will receive the same offer as the crew that was loyal to Scourge and Plugg. Leave me now, we will settle this when we are both rested up.
I will go and find Owlbear, to see if he is okay.
Alwen, you have command for now. Get us to this Squib-fellow. she says before leaving, holding the side of the ribs with one hand and squinting from the pain of the fight.
