This is DeviousDevious' entry, Rokar Longclaw.
Full description, stats and friends/enemies are in the profile.
Consider me happy to answer any questions.

@Rokar: Just FYI, snow leopards are typically statted as "small cats" in the Animal Companions section, as this is done by size rather than biology ("cat, big" refers to lions/tigers/dire lions/dire tigers, etc). There may of course be mechanical reasons why you'd prefer to have your snow leopard start out medium—but, ordinarily at least, snow leopards never get above 150-200 lbs, and to get one up to large size would imply some amount of magic/dire creature stuff going on.

Oh yeah, good catch. I went with snow leopard because :
a) the real ones tend to live in mountains and hills (unless Wikipedia lied to me, gasp!), and it said they were big cats, andb) the catfolk avatars were limited to white-furred cats or creepy-looking things and I wanted it to match. Basically it's fluff. I think it fits the story better (being rescued, and upsetting people in town and all) if it's a big cat, but it really doesn't make a difference other than that, and I'm not married to it being big, but I do like the idea of it being large eventually so I have a big scary cat as a friend.

I am extremely interested in this and your rules seem fair and mimic what I look for in a DM. That being said, I'll try to have something up in the very near future.
I'm not familiar with the Giant Slayer AP. I am assuming it is a more kick in the door style AP focused on combat. If that is the case will you be running it to a T or adding social encounters to it? If the latter is true that's great because I typically like to design characters with at least some social skills. I just don't want to make a RP heavy character and be useless.

Quick question whtknt, once characters are selected are they locked in to their stats? I ask as I have skill points attributed as I see my character but there are a couple that I could reallocate to fit the needs of the group. If 4 people have knowledge geography and no one has ranks in heal then I would switch to have ranks in the heal skill.

If I made a psychic how much of a rebuild would I be allowed to do when the book came out? For example, they are adding Disciplines, would I be allowed to change if one fit my character concept better? Or perhaps if I wanted to tweak my concept a bit to fit one I liked better? If so would I be allowed to change my stats a bit if it had a different phrenic pool?

If selected, I will permit a little reorganization (so long as no major changes to the character are made) of skills to better support the party.

As with skills, I will permit changes that fit the rules (if they change significantly), but nothing major (like a complete rewrite).

I keep coming back to the fun idea of a gnomish mouser, but given the huge amount of Martial types (some of whom are excellent submissions, BTW, big props), I may see if I can find a fun "giantslayerish" idea that fits into another role.
Still closing the 17th, I hope?
I'm pleased to see so many martials too, since every other thread on the boards right now seems to be some variation on the 'martials don't get good things' theme. Nice to see people want to play them :)

For your consideration, Ahmbruun Tuskborn:
An unfortunate consequence of an orc raid on the eastern Cinderlands, Ahmbruun was born to his Shoanti mother Listhane after she fled her quah and settled in Korvosa. After several years of surprisingly normal and moderately happy childhood, disaster struck the city, and he and his mother fled the ravages of plague just before the gates were sealed. Seeing no other course, she returned to the Shriikirri-Quah(Hawk clan), where she received cold welcome, but relative safety.
That is until the orcs raided again. This time, seeing one of their blood, of impressive size and strength for his youth, they stole him away when they retreated.
Ahmbruun does not speak of his years among the orcs, save with deep-seated hatred. When he finally made his escape at age 17, he made his way back to his quah, learning that his mother had settled in Magnimar. The large young half-orc followed, finding his mother in lay-service to the Church of Abadar. Thus began the years of his tutelage.
Ordained years later, Ahmbruun resolved to return to the edges of the Hold of Belkzen to bring the civilizing influence of the Master of the First Vault to where it is most desperately needed.
Ahrmbruun, standing nearer six feet than seven, was ill-suited to the cubicles and confessionals of the more accountancial funtions of the Church. Bitter hatred and evangelical zeal combine in his desire to see the Hold of Belkzen subjugated and civilized, and the orcs crushed or exterminated. As such, he has received permission from his superiors in Magnimar to relocate to the frontiers, and has recently come to Trunau and presented himself to banker Lessie Crumkin. He is content to leave the banking functions to her, and has been happy to supply her with a new sparring partner.
The orcs that stole him called him Giant-blood, and the appellation is probably true. There are hints of his coloration that speak to the fire giants deep in the Mindspins, and, as noted, he has grown into a rather impressive stature. Six foot seven and 250#, his flat grey skin sets off bright orange eyes. His hair, when not shaved down to close stubble as is his usual habit, is a deep, coppery red.
A deep rage and violent temper lurks in the halforc, but years of religious training and civilizing influence keep it tightly leahsed. He does a rather poor job of hiding his feelings, but is generally just unpleasant rather than berserk. Despite over six years in the seminary and cathedral of Magnimar, he has little patience with the wealth obsession of his chosen faith. “There will be time for trade when all the world is truly civilized,” he has mused, to the consternation of some of his superiors. That said, he sees no reason to antagonize a Banker that has obviously done good work here on the edge of the wild, and recognizes the need for the stability of banks.
He is fully capable of trying diplomacy first, but does not hesitate once swords are drawn.
Despite his anger, his driven mission, his willingness (eagerness?) to do battle, he faithfully writes his mother in Magnimar every week, even if he can only have them delivered every month or so. In memory of her cold reception at the hands of their quah, he is perhaps a little distant or impatient with Shoanti.

Hello, everyone! Machaera's a character I've been working on for a while, so I thought I would see if I could adjust her background to have a reason to be passing through Trunau - before she gets dragged into an adventure, of course! I'm sorry if I got a bit carried away; I dabble in creative writing, and sometimes things escape me. On a side note that didn't fit particularly neatly into the background, Machaera's interested in primal magic but not much of a wizard, so I was thinking of taking one level of wizard with the primalist archetype, and hoping to find a rod of wonder somewhere. :)
As for my posting habits, since our prospective GM asked, I normally post either in the morning, noonish (very loosely speaking), or late in the evening, depending on what my schedule is like from day to day. I don't post very often here outside of one or two threads and a play-by-post campaign currently on hiatus, my character for which is Ioxeia Androdaixa.

Hi there! I'd like to toss my hat into the ring, or rather toss Grun's hat in. His stat block and whatnot is (read: should) be all set up on the profile page, so feel free to take a peek. I've never actually played a fighter, much less one with the potential to wield weapons bigger than himself, so I'm pretty excited. Sadly, I'm fairly new to PbP Pathfinder stuff so there's no real posting habits or post quality for you to look into. Which I realize makes considering me for the campaign a bit of a leap of faith, but hopefully the quality of this post will give you a peek into what to expect? That's my plan, at least. As for my schedule, checking the thread (at least) once a day should be well within my capabilities. I love forum roleplay, so more than once a day is probably much more likely. That said, let's get on to the good stuff!
Regretfully, all of this was called to a very abrupt halt when the orcs began allying with the giants. Grun had no particular problem with the giants; sure, they were big and ugly and mean and rude, but so was he most mornings. Granted, he was the product of an unwilling union of an orcish ancestor and one of the giants' kin, but his people did much the same to other races. He could hardly fault them for such a temperament, especially when it must be so very hard to make clothes that fit their enormous bellies. No, it was when a handful of orcs were given over to the giants as a show of good faith for whatever ends they wished that his opinion soured. One of the orcs in question was his beloved and, as a lowly member of the scouts, neither of them had a say in the matter. Many tears were shed as she was carted off to never be seen again, fostering within Grun a deep and furious hatred. He committed the face of the giant that took her away to memory so that he might one day exact his vengeance. Though he tried to change the minds of his fellow orcs about allying with the giants, his skills lay far outside the realm of social interaction. Even for an orc, Grun was far from attractive or even remotely charismatic. Efforts went less than swimmingly, needless to say.
As for the friends and enemies, I'm looking at his mate/girlfriend/wife as the close friend, the villager that vouched for him as the unknown friend. The known enemy would be the giant that took his sweetheart while the unknown enemy would be the orc that is/was acting as liaison with the giants and made that deal. If necessary, I can pick a pre-existing villager for that NPC or make one up. The same can be said of the orc and the giant, I just had not picked a name for them yet.

I was about 85% through building a human slayer (for the skill role) when I realized he was basically a reskin of a half-elven ranger from one of the campaigns that just ended.
Switched to a gnomish magus (eldritch scion) that would use the history of the original mouser idea, but I keep finishing myself wishing he was the mouser (was even looking at the panache-like arcana).
On the plus side, I *do* have an idea for an Ulfen Bard (Savage Skald archetype) that I'm kind of excited about... So I need to ask when (timewise) the recruitment closes to see if I should try to work it up over lunch and after work, or if I should just congratulate people on strong submissions and wish them well.

Recruitment closes in a little over 13 hours from the time of this post. (11:59PM CDT)
So doable, if you have the enough free time to push out a character by the end of the day.

I'm new to the PBP thing, but I've done my research and browsed not only the "how-to" posts, but also read through some of the campaigns being run on the forums. Of course that means I have no previous posts for you to look over to see how I am in a PBP campaign. That said, I am quite experienced with the Pathfinder system and have majority of the books at my disposal (including books like the Inner Sea Guide and other things that can enhance my RP). I have done less structured RP on forums in the past, and I'm excited to try out Pathfinder in this environment.
To tell you a bit about my RP style, I do enjoy conveying mood and details about facial expressions and nervous ticks along side the more general actions and any speech my character is doing. I do my best to ensure I have open ended posts that both players, NPCs, and even the environment can react to, and embed hooks that encourage a consistent flow of natural replies back and forth.
So, here is Zeviel! (Her name is pretty subject to change, I don't know that I'm 100% happy with it, but it will do for now!)
Zeviel grew up fairly privileged with parents who loved her and a community that cared for her. As an elf, she had very few peers comparative to her human counterparts, but had no qualms about spending time around her elders, enjoying their stories of past experiences and caring guidance through her youth. This resulted in her being fairly mature and with a deep respect for past, present and future.
Magic had always come easy to her, much to the chagrin of one of her peers. Zeviel happened upon her friend during one of her sessions with her tutor as she was being taught how to spark a simple fire. Zeviel watched curiously from the side as her friend read words from a large book and made complex hand gestures before a small flame leapt from her hand to hang in the air in front of her. Zeviel, being impressed by her friends dedication to her study, wanted to participate and rushed forward excitedly, juggling a series of four small lights around her fingers, chanting a mixed up version of the incantation her friend had read aloud and wriggling her fingers about. The tutor laughed, recognizing Zeviel as a sorcerer not a wizard, clapped Zeviel on the shoulder and smiled, explaining that there was nothing he could teach her that wouldn’t simply come naturally to her in time. This caused a fair bit of jealousy on the part of her friend who had been working to master her simple spell for weeks, birthing the beginning of a very one sided rivalry.
One of the defining points of Zeviel’s childhood and formative years was having a close cousin in the Lantern Bearers. Zeviel found her cousin to be a perfect mixture of beauty, glamour, and badass all at once, and dreamed of becoming as impressive as her. Her cousin was always quite cryptic about what exactly it was she did, but that only added to the romanticized image Zeviel had fostered about the Lantern Bearers. As she grew up, she honed her magic and her interpersonal skills until she was accepted into the lantern bearers, a process that was aided along by a mysterious letter of recommendation marked only by a wax seal that she didn’t recognize despite the weight it clearly held within the faction.
As a capable sorcerer, a hard worker, and a great mediator, she quickly rose through the ranks even getting promoted over her childhood rival who had also joined in with the Lantern Bearers, albeit five years later than Zeviel had been admitted. This only further angered her rival who, in a blind fit of uncharacteristic rage, plotted with the enemy to get Zeviel kidnapped by a drow. Quentel Taken’rae, a drow rogue who had evaded Zeviel several times before, was the only candidate who could be considered Zeviel’s equal and the only one suited to the task. In her rival’s mind, removing Zeviel would remove her only obstacle to success.
Using a series of illusions to lure Zeviel away from her usual scouting route and a burst of light that left her stunned and dazzled her rival put her plan to work. As planned, Quentel was lying in wait and swooped in to bind the disoriented elf. He hoisted her over her shoulder, and no matter how Zeviel screamed she couldn’t make a sound. Panic set in as he continued to drag the helpless Zeviel back towards the entrance to the Underdark. Fortunately, her fellow Lantern Bearers realized she had not returned to check in at her scheduled time and set out to track her. The extra weight and struggle had caused Quentel to leave an obvious trail, guiding Zeviel’s companions directly to them. Obviously outnumbered, Quentel dropped Zeviel and fled the area, deftly disappearing into the shadows under the earth.
Embarrassment and shame overwhelmed Zeviel as she gave her report of the incident, cursing her own self for letting herself be lured into such a trap and vowing to never be so foolish again. She never once suspected that she had been betrayed by another Lantern Bearer, let alone one she had known since childhood. Zeviel took full responsibility for her actions.
After a great many of her peers filed complaints about her lack of competence (again, orchestrated by her life-long rival), she was subsequently demoted and given an out-of-the-way assignment; watching over the entrance to the Darklands at Urgir. This led her to Trunau, where she has stayed for the better part of twenty years, as it was the only safe place in the region for her to keep vigil over Urgir. Her residence here allows her to keep an ear to the ground for drow activity while also helping the town in whatever way she can.
Since coming to Trunau, she’s been setting her skills to work by putting down orc raiding parties that attempt to stray too close to Trunau’s farmlands, which has endeared her to the locals who have come to accept her as a permanent and welcome fixture within the community. There are many young adults who can’t recall a time without her, which amuses the long-lived elf. One of the older men in the community, a greying ranger by the name of Martan Freestrider who spends most of his time combing the countryside independently for orc activity and only comes into town for trade and supplies, has become a friend to the elf. Zeviel recruits Martan’s aid when she needs to get closer to Urgir to investigate any potential drow influence within the orcish city and in turn she lends him her sorcery when he encounters a problem he can’t simply beat down.
Known Friend Martan Freestrider
The ranger from Trunau who she has had a few adventures with. A middle aged human who comes off as a bit of a hermit, but he's a strong defender of the town and brings in needed trade goods in exchange for supplies before heading back into the wilds.
Unknown Friend The Mysterious Letter of Recommendation Writer
Twice now the letters from this unknown source have advanced her carreer with the Lantern Bearers. All the letters are marked with are a seal that apparently hold some significance within the faction.
Known Enemy Quentel Taken'rae
A drow rogue who leads raiding parties up onto the surface to cause havoc. He's the only drow to have escaped Zeviel's grasp so many times, and is still running rampant somewhere in the world. He was also a key player in the plot to kidnap her.
Unknown Enemy Childhood Rival
Jealous since childhood of Zeviel's natural talents, things only worsened when she remained a step ahead of her at every turn. Zeviel remains oblivious to this rivalry and has no idea that a friend from her childhood was behind the plot to kidnap her and all the letters complaining about her competency that resulted in her demotion.
(I've left the unknown friend and enemy unnamed in case there was some plan behind having them unknown. If you need me to develop these unknown entities further, I'd be glad to oblige)

After looking at the list, I noticed a lot of martial combat submissions. Now I'm even more anxious!
Yep, its a tough recruitment to be a martial build. I keeping looking at the list nervously, because even if WhtKnt takes multiple martial characters, I'm still competing with two other well written fighters!

Norasha Mountainrunner |

I know what you mean. I wanted to try and do something unique for a dwarven paladin (besides roleplaying one that isn't so gruff and serious minded) so I combined Stonelord and Warrior of the Holy Light archetypes and poof! Here's Norasha! The Ninth Battalion faction was a good idea too. So far I haven't seen many people doing factions.
