ACTION POINTS
Action points provide characters with the means to affect game play in significant ways. A character always has a limited amount of action points, and while the character replenishes this supply with every new level he or she attains, the character must use them wisely. A character can spend 1 action point to do one of these things:
Improve a Roll
Alter a single d20 roll used to make an attack, a skill check, an ability check, a level check, or a saving throw.
When a character spends 1 action point to improve a d20 roll, add 1d6 to the d20 roll to help meet or exceed the target number. A character can declare the use of 1 action point to alter a d20 roll after the roll is made-but only before the GM reveals the result of that roll (whether the attack or check or saving throw succeeded or failed). A character can't use an action point on a skill check or ability check when he or she is taking 10 or taking 20.
Use Class Feature or Talent
Use a class talent or class feature during your turn for which the expenditure of 1 action point is required.
When a character spends 1 action point to use a class feature, he or she gains the benefit of the feature but doesn't roll a d6. In this case, the action point is not a bonus to a d20 roll.
Boost Defense
A character can spend 1 action point as a free action when fighting defensively. This gives him double the normal benefits for fighting defensively for the entire round (+4 dodge bonus to AC; +6 if he has 5 or more ranks in Tumble).
Emulate Feat
At the beginning of a character’s turn, he may spend 1 action point as a free action to gain the benefit of a feat he doesn’t have. He must meet the prerequisites of the feat. He gains the benefit until the beginning of his next turn.
Extra attack
During any round in which a character takes a full attack action, he may spend 1 action point to make an extra attack at his highest base attack bonus. Action points may be used in this way with both melee and ranged attacks.
Stablize
Any time a character is dying, he can spend 1 action point to become stable at his current hit point total.
A character can only spend 1 action point in a round. If a character spends a point to use a class feature, for example, he or she can't spend another one in the same round to improve a die roll, and vice versa.
Yes, this is actually an expanded list of what AP can do for you, borrowing a few things from the Eberron, but I like the ideas, so I've included them.

In any dispute between the rules, we will defer to the 3.5 version of the SRD, since that represents a more current rule set, unless it is specific to the d20 Modern rules.

I am going to be taking a little vacation starting Thursday and through Saturday the 25th. I expect to be able to post regularly during this time, but if I get behind, please bot me as necessary. If you are in one of my games, just be patient, please. I shall try to check in daily, at a minimum.

I would like for everyone when they have a chance to log into https://app.roll20.net/join/775817/98xEIA, please. I'm going to be using Roll20 for our maps because I recently purchased a full subscription and need to justify the $10/month. It will also permit me a little more flexibility with the map.

Apologies - Kolya's accent is still a little "all over zhe place" as I refine the whole - writing English with a Rus accent :)

Guys I'm sorry to say I'm reluctantly going to have to step away from this one - work is ramping up and free time will be limited. I'm in a few very long standing games here on the boards that I don't want to cut from, so am having to make some difficult decisions (including stopping my own GM'd pbp) - No reflection on this game - is a very interesting concept and a new slant on an old classic, which deserves more time and effort than I can give at the moment)Thanks for the opportunity and hope to be lucky enough to game with you all again down the line
Cheers - BD
It has been fun, BD, good luck and good gaming!
Well, that is sad, now what?

Give me a few days, I'll see if I can drum up some interest and maybe a new recruit.

I think I'm going to have to call this one, as much as it pains me to do so. There seems to be no interest.
