Utabe files into the room uneasily, Kiddrick's line about evil boxes having put her a bit on edge. She was good in a crisis, but the bits leading up to a crisis could unnerve her. Still, nothing to do but search.

She had been tasked with finding the remains of Tatuma-Matl, which likely lay in the honored dead exhibit. But it could be just as easily be in deep storate, perhaps in one of these crates...

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Utabe is looking for any text, in either Common or Osirian that would indicate any relation to Tatuma-Matl. If the crates are labelled, but nothing seems to fit, she will leave them unopened. If none of the crates are labelled, she will open an unlabeled crate at random.

Kiddrik and Utabe file through the boxes in the room. All they come across is old exhibit pieces and a copious amount of dust about the room. Some boxes contain a few cracked masks while others contain more taxidermy abominations. Utabe does not find any evidence of Tatuma-Matl within this room.

I'm down with that, though if the door is closed on that other side, whoever has to stop and open it will spend a turn exposed (and without cover/concealment) to anything in the center of the atrium. Possibly not a big deal, but something to consider. Also, Kiddrik will be holding his breath beginning when we open the door ... he'll stop when we're not in mist anymore or right before he begins to black out (the suffocation rules kick in).

That should give him 24 rounds of holding his breath (though any round where we do anything but walk around costs him double).

That's a good plan. I'll hold my breath as well, and ready an arrow to fire at anything that comes charging at us from the entrance. Maybe Topher can keep watch on the other side? Still, this room was filled with mist when we saw it from the outside, so I'll wager its an open doorway. (Or the door is already open.)

Brother Tophor does not believe that it looks as if the torches are driving the mists away.

The party darts through the mists in the Artrium that cuts a trail through the tendrils that are quickly engulfed as if the mist is a set of snapping jaws.

Kiddrik reaches for the door as he swings if open for theparty and shuts it quickly behind them.

The mists here congeal into a thick and silvery fog that cools the
lungs. Arranged throughout this large hall are exhibits on the
funerary traditions of several civilizations, along with preserved
corpses arrayed in grim stillness. A giant warrior looms from the
haze, his arms crossed at his chest, his helm solemn and still.
Beyond lie sarcophagi of varied designs, and a few glass cases
wherein withered dead are held upright by rods and string; grim
exhibits of long-dead citizens whose fallen empires were erased
an age past.
A placard above this hall reads “The Honored Dead” in
blood-red calligraphy.

A door in the NE corner of this room hangs slightly ajar, moving ever so slightly as if the mist is tugging on it.

One of the mummified corpses contains a jeweled scarab on it's chest among it's spiced wrappings. A sign over one of the northern sarcophagi is about a scarab seer and warrior-priest of an old Pharaonic Age named Taltuma-Matl. Another is a large hulking skeleton, a towering ancestor of the Kellid race who is wielding a greatclub fashioned from a mammoths tusk. There is a shrunken emaciated corpse wrapped in rotten silks, holding a Qadirian scimitar in it's bony fists. Kiddrik also sees and armored warrior from a long dead empire garnered in bronze armor and helm.

The display cases hold a numerous amount of objects to include scrolls, cracked masks that almost seem as if they are watching you, ceremonial blades and petrified scarabs.

Drystan pulls his crossbow and fires it, but misses badly. "I'm really not a marksman, you know," he says in a dejected tone.

Drystan fires his crossbow at the Zombie but the bolt misses as it sticks into a display case instead.

The Zombie shuffles forward towards Drystan with the creak of dried skin and bones that have not moved for years.

Not that you have to change your action (i certainly won't turn down the help), but in case you missed it, there's a zombie on our mage. :)
I only point it out because i missed it the first time I referenced the map.

The Tactical Map I see only has two skeletons, who are directly in front of Kiddrick and Utabe.

Sometime it takes a bit to load. It did that to me yesterday also but I just thought it was my internet being goofy.BU yes there is a zombie just North of him at the moment. Let me know if you still can't see it or try reloading the page.

Kharine rushes forward as the two skeletons mindlessly swing their weapons at Kiddrik. Both the greatclub and the scimitar miss Kiddrik as he easily dodges the slower weapons.

Kiddrik weathers the attacks, feeling more invigorated by the second. He responds with a snap-kick to the rib cage of the greatclub-wielding skeleton.

1 more hp healed, then use Wooden Fist and unarmed strike.
