Appearance Utabe is a plain, unadorned Garundi. She eschews any form of ornamentation, and focuses strictly on utilitarianism. Her hair is short, and practical, and she tries to carry as little as she possibly can. Her one weakness is for her buzzard, Oko, on whom she lavishes with treats and meats.

Personality After her father was killed by a village elder, Utabe sought revenge, but found it came at great personal cost-- she was disowned by family. She will not speak of her past, but it haunts her, and she deals with her feelings of guilt and powerlessness by putting herself increasingly dangerous situations.
