Bart slowly makes his way across the open area. Still not sure what I'm going to do when I get there. Low-level investigators have a combat problem I haven't quite figured out yet. Or maybe just this one does.

GM Tektite |

Tensen moves closer yet!
Bart works his way through the weeds!
Janira withdraws from the minotaur. Glancing at the party, she yells between inspirational phrases. "Next time bring some bows along..if there is a next time!
Lazlo moves closer still!
Depravity moves closer and ducks behind some vegetation.
Titus gets to the log, but slips and almost falls in, but manages to keep his balance on the wrong side of the log.
Initiative:
Janira
Lazlo
Depravity
Bartleby
Titus

Bartleby!

Upon hearing Janira's advice, Bartleby looks down at his crossbow and beams with delight.
"I must have foreseen this! Thank the spirits! Everyone keep your distance while I slow the monster down!"
Raising his hand he casts a spell. "Spirits of nature I beseech thee! Spread your branches, snare with your roots, and entangle this mighty foe!"
Casting an Entangle spell DC 13. Try to keep allies outside the effect.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 - 5 ⇒ (1) + 6 - 5 = 2
As it turns out, using a weapon with 4 blades on one end as a balancing pole is a HORRIBLE idea! Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 He falls on his face on the edge of the log, and stands up.
Moved me and Bartleby on the map

"Titus, step back so we can get a clear shot!" Bartleby calls out, his alchemist fire ready to throw.

Depravity throws another chakram, this time zeroing in and hitting the beast!
Bartleby rushes toward his fallen companion, leaping the stream!
While continuing to inspire, Janira loads her crossbow and fires at the minotaur. "“As Durvin Gest, exemplar of our Society, saw through the treachery of the fabled Lens of Galundari and chose to hurl the terrible lens down into the never ending Nemesis Well, so you, his noblest heirs, shall stand steadfast against deceit and error, surrendering nothing but your burdens, and falling nowhere but on our foes!”

Tensen, unable to keep up due to armour and terrain, will move to the now conscious Tidus and pick him up off the ground. "Well fought, my friend. Now stand, for our foe flees and we have achieved our goal. If you have any parting shots for our friend..."
Can't move stuff on map atm.

Lazlo drops his backpack with some exasperation, then spends a point from his arcane reservoir to activate his Dimensional slide class ability to make it across the river as part of his move action.
Once he is across, the minotaur is in range of his color spray. DC 14 Will save

![]() |

Correct; barring one feat (Dastardly Finish, which requires 5 or 6d6 sneak dice), they gotta be helpless (which is easiest achieved with Hold Person at lower levels or Color Spraying a low-enough HD target.) This guy's just stunned, which is "no actions or dex bonus, and a -2 AC." The more you know!

Ah, you guys are right. I knew that too but I just thought it was hilarious to try to CDG someone with 2d3 damage. I had a bard put some creatures to sleep once and then woke them up when her piddly CDG didn't kill them.
mithral dagger: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
