Yirrik Roone |

Yirrik smiles as he friend dispatches the goblin, and looks from side to side, looking for signs of movement from the darkness.
Seeing nothing immediate, he fetches the nearby torch and advances with it, running towards where the arrows came from, tossing the torch forward...
Not sure where on the map the last volley came from...

GM Tarondor |

The "fluffy"-looking green stuff on the map, such as east of Zaia's position and north of Perfire's is melted green glass. Whatever ancient catastrophe struck the Azlanti works here caused the iron-hard stuff to melt and flow like candle wax. For our purposes, it is difficult terrain.
Yirrik moves cautiously forward, finding no visible enemies. However, arrows fly from the northeast, accompanied by harsh goblin laughter. One grazes Yirrik's right forearm.

Wymond Dwerryhouse |

Wymond steps over the goblin he'd just slain to where the latest torch is positioned, his axe before him.
Could one of you toss another torch over here, pretty please? :)

Perfire Ridal |

Perfire pokes his head around the corner and the torch he was carrying lifts from his hand and floats into the darkness seeking out goblins. He then ducks back behind the wall and scoops up the torch at his feet.
Moving the torch in hand to 10 feet map-north of wymond's square. I think that's the max range of my mage hand.

GM Tarondor |

Because of the wall to his immediate east, Perfire doesn't have Line of Sight to his intended goal. However, that turns out to be irrelevant...
As soon as Wymond moves near to the doorway into the northeastern tower, he hears a sharp rumbling and looks up to see tons of loose stone raining down towards him from above!
Please give me a DC 12 Reflex save, Wymond!
I've moved Perfire's torch to illuminate what's happened.

should check the map underneath. Keep everything the same but I'll 5-foot step out of cover here for line of sight.

Yirrik Roone |

Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Yirrik hears the rumble of the trap and see's Wymond's clumsy attempt to escape.
Dodging the rubble, Yirrik runs to his friend and attempts to push and pull him out of harms way, up against the green stone wall to the south.
Not sure what to roll here :)

GM Tarondor |

Perfire, you're fine. Only Wymond had to make the save and there was nothing you could have done to help him.
Rockfall damage to Wymond: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Wymond is pinned beneath the rocks and injured.
Wymond is buried and will start taking nonlethal damage every round. Once he falls unconscious, he will begin to slowly die, so digging him out is important. You're going to need to shift a ton of rock to dig him out. Characters who aren’t buried can dig out their friends. In 1 minute, using only her hands, a character can clear rocks and debris equal to five times her heavy load limit. Armed with an appropriate tool, such as a pick, crowbar, or shovel, a digger can clear loose stone twice as quickly as by hand. A buried character can attempt to free himself with a DC 25 Strength check.
Also, the passage into the tower is completely blocked.

Perfire Ridal |

Perfire, hearing the cacophony of rocks and not seeing Wymond anymore rushes forward.
'Wymond!? Wymond!?' The halfling drops his torch and begins to shift stone as quickly as he can. Remembering tales from other slaves of mine cave-ins drives Perfire's work. 'Help me get him out! Do we have anything to dig with?'

Zaia Acayan |

Zaia, keeping to the walls and green glass, moved forward swiftly but cautiously, ensuring Triath was following directly behind her. She collected the dropped torch and then threw it down upon the area of the Alchemist's Fire. She was reunited with her companions, but she was concerned about the rockfall and the trapped paladin within.
GM, you said Wymond's pinned and buried. Is any part of him visible under the rubble?
"Nay, I do not have a shovel or pick with which to dig but I have my hands", she replied in whispered voice.
Zaia crouched down, placed her own torch to the side and began to use her hands to push aside rock and debris as quickly as she could while keeping her eyes and ears open for any new rockslide or other impending threat/s.

Wymond Dwerryhouse |

Oh, thank Erastil! I thought that was gonna outright kill me!
Wymond doesn't even have time to cry out in surprise as a wall of dirt and rocks topples down on him. Knowing he's only got a moment before he passes out, he tries to wriggle free, knowing that while the pain was excruciating, it meant he was still alive.
Strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Yirrik Roone |

Yirrik shouts as the wall of rock covers his friend. Rushing forward, he waves his hands around, trying to disperse the cloud of dust.
With only his hands he begins to tear away the rubble...
Str 14 = 175 max load x 5 = 875 lbs of rock removed.

GM Tarondor |

Yirrik: Str 14 = 175 max load x 5 = 875 lbs of rock removed.
Zaia: Str 10 = 100 max load x 5 = 500 lbs of rock removed.
Perfire: Str 8 = 80 max load x 5 = 400 lbs of rock removed.
Total: 1775 lbs of rocks removed.
Wymond is helpless to remove any rocks, and as his team begins to toss aside rubble to get to him, he begins to feel the immense weight of the rockslide crushing the life out of him. For him... all fades to black.

6 HP back to Wymond.
Note: Only 2 channels remain for the day.
She then examines the paladin, applying any salves and bandages to the minor cuts and wounds so as to stop any bleeding. She stablises his condition. He's no longer bleeding out or losing hp.

Perfire Ridal |

Perfire anxiously watches Zaia tend to Wymond, keeping back a few feet to give her space to work. He shifts from foot to foot, eyes darting around waiting for the next salvo of arrows to fly out of the darkness.
'Is he going to be OK?' the halfling asks. 'Should Yirrick and I make sure there's no more goblins around while he recovers?'
Perfire gathers the fallen torch behind the group. Torch in each hand

Wymond Dwerryhouse |

Triath scrambles over but appears relieved as Zaia is already healing Wymond.
Will that healing be enough for me to come to?

Zaia Acayan |

Is he going to be OK?' the halfling asks. 'Should Yirrick and I make sure there's no more goblins around while he recovers?'
She quietly replied, "Aye, Wymond will be fine. He just has some minor abrasions and some bruising after the healing. And aye, best keep an eye out for those pesky goblins - I don't want any of you injured so soon, as my magic is diminishing and we have some way to go this day."
What time is it in game at the moment, GM? I know being inside the ruins makes it hard to keep track of time, but a general ballmark would help with rp. Thanks!

Wymond Dwerryhouse |

Wymond coughs a bit as he comes to.
"Blimey! I thought I was a goner there for sure! How long was I out? Them gobbers still shootin' at us?" he says as he tries to sit up, wincing at what pain he still feels.

Perfire Ridal |

Perfire inches out into the darkness. After moving a few feet in, he sets down a torch and levitates it into the darkness in front of him. Finding a dead-end to the southeast, he begins to explore the opening to the south of the rockfall.
sorry for all the map battling, just figured I'd avoid wasting a bunch of time

Perfire Ridal |

'It looks like a passage goes this way a bit. Let me know when we're ready to press on' Perfire tries to sound encouraging through the adrenaline.

Yirrik Roone |

Yirrik lets out a little whoop as Wymond's form emerges from the rubble. Helping his friend rise, he allows Zaia the room to work on Wymond, then pats Wymond down, trying to get some of the dust off.
"Clever little bastards, aren't they?" he asks, looking at the pile of rubble, "Well we won't be going that way."
He then looks up at Perfire, "Onward!" he declares, looking questioningly at Wymond.

Wymond Dwerryhouse |

Wymond finishes hoisting himself off and dusts off his armor. Then he goes over to the rubble and pries his axe out of it, frowning a bit at the new nicks in it before turning to Yirrik and smiling.
"Onward!"
He clomps over to the door, waiting for Yirrik to catch up before they prepare to open it.

Perfire Ridal |

Perfire follows Wymond forward and prepares to float a torch 10 ft in front of the paladin.
I'll keep pace just behind him to help light his way

Yirrik Roone |

Yirrik approaches the door with Wymond and Perfire, opining "That's a big 'ol door....definately not goblin-make." he says casting a practiced eye over the door.
He does a scan for locks, and traps, holding his hand up to forstall any of the others from attempting to open it...
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Finished his check, "Looks safe to me...."
If it's locked, he pulls some worn tools from his pouch...

Zaia Acayan |

"Come, Triath. Let us follow the others. But cautiously now." she instructed the pig quietly.
Zaia looked about the space for any threat, picked up the torch on the ground before her and moved forward, along the passage, Triath following beside her. They came to stand behind Perfire and waited to see if the door could be opened. She tossed the spare torch on the ground before her and held onto her own. She whispered to her male companions, "Careful. The door might have a trap." Using what light there was, she looked about the large, wooden door for any signs of tampering. It wasn't her forte by any means, but she was concerned the males would simply take the risk and could get hurt again.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Wymond Dwerryhouse |

Wymond nods and gently nudges the door with his axe, gingerly opening it just in case the goblins have another rock trap set up for them.

Wymond Dwerryhouse |

Oh THIS should be good! :P
Stealth: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (9) - 4 = 5

GM Tarondor |

The door creaks open as Wymond clanks loudly forward. Perfire moves a torch into the opening beyond, revealing a larger room, still afflicted by the ever-present darkness that crowds around and limits the range of light.
From somewhere in the darkness, a single goblin voice can be heard saying something urgent.

Yirrik Roone |

Yirrik peers into the darkness, then looks about as Perfire's torch reveals more of the room.
Hearing the voice, he takes another alchemist's fire and throws it past Perfire's torch into the darkness...
In case it's needed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Wymond Dwerryhouse |

Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (8) + 0 = 8

Zaia Acayan |

Apologies. It's a national public holiday here in OZ, so have been busy with family, friends and BBQing.
Zaia whispered to Yirrik and Wymond, "What is beyond the door? Do we move forward, through the door now?"
