It would seem that all of you are correct in your assumptions about this analytical machine. While I would hate to lose any history and knowledge it may possess it seems corrupted in its logic and outlook on life.

Turning to the screen Kragg answers it directly. This is not a threat but a promise. IAs you have indicated that you will continue to back the Aboleth then we will shut you down forever. The Aboleth is an abomination carrying our experiments on unwilling creatures. As for it ‘improving the human race’ that is the power of the gods and not for us to meddle with.

the face quickly changes into what looks like a giant, primordial, three-eyed fish.
The friendly voice vanishes and only the harsh voice remains, saying, “Now you must die.” The display forms a sharp, spear-like protrusion from the metal pins and attacks Kragg.
spear: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27
Luckily, Kragg is able to defelct the blow with his various armor buffs.

Meanwhile, gasses start seeping out of the vents on the left and right side of the room.

Kragg:

you quickly size up the machine, with the aid of your gloves. there are two red orbs on the frame of the machine on the far side of the room. you recognize ioun memory nodes. they are likely integral to the functioning of the machine, removing them might turn it off.

the panel that is similar to the ones used in other parts of the machine might work to reprogram it, but right now the machine is using that panel to attack you with pin-like protrusions.

"Can't say I do," Lara answers Derym. Without any other recourse, she unshoulders her bow. Instead of shooting something, though, she moves to the vents to see if there is a way to disable them.

please be sure to update your locations! Lara and Derym seem to be in the hallway still. Moved htem in, but anyone else please move to where you think you should be ATM

Lara moves towards one of the vents to try to disable it. first she can't get to it without getting exposed to whatever is coming out of the vent.
Fortitude Lara (+3 luck): 1d20 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 3 = 18
Will Lara(+3 luck): 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 3 = 24
She is able to hold her breath long enough to get in there and disable the vents on the left side.

Lolito kicks at the face but it doesn't seem to do much.

perception DC 25 when attacking the face:

The eyes seem to be more vulnerable than the rest of the face. it looks like two specialized ioun stones that have been set into the metal facade. maybe you could damage those? or remove them?

A small opening appears on the side of the room close to Lolito and a small orb rolls out. it sprouts legs and pincher claws and swims towards the old man

It is unable to get through the monks defenses, but is certainly distracting!

The panel where Kragg is standing again lances out at him with a long spike.

When he is up to remove them, he finds out himself approached by the small ball "What?!" jumps to the side to avoid it "We have some little visits in here!"

Regardless, he tries to focus on the ion stones, trying to grab and retrieve one, but if it cannot be picked, he merely tries to destroy it.

Kragg hurries to where the red orbs are located as soon as he gets attacked. Once there he tries with all his might to wrench them free. These might be the emergency shut off orbs based on what I can tell. Nice job with that vent Lara, keep it up. Watch out Lolito, do t know if those pinchers are poisonous or not.

Lara moves towards the other set of vents. she isn't able to get to work on them right away because of the distance, but sets up to repeat her success with the first set

Lolito ignores the claws of the little clockwork enemy, and starts smacking the gem. it is tough but he hits it pretty hard, doing considerable damage to it.

Kragg goes for the Strength route, trying to pop the other gem out of its socket. he gives it a mighty tug but it does not come loose.

Derym moves toward the engine, swinging his blade in an attempt to remove the small creature attacking Lolito.

Derym moves up and hits the small construct, with the flanking bonus he scores a hit. the creature takes very little damage through its hardness.

Alyn moves in to support.

A second clockwork machine pops out of the gear system on the left corner of the room, near Kragg. it moves to slash at the dwarf's legs

Lara feels her body change suddenly as she ingests some of the substance. her mind reels at the change, causing her to become confused for 2 rounds. However, it is not an entirely unpleasant change as some of her injuries from previous action heal themselves instantly.

He then hits the little construct once but fails to do any damage through its hardness.

Kragg also struggles, unable to do any damage ot the machine.

Derym has no trouble dispatching one of them, hitting with a critical backed by electric magic.

Alyn moves to the second machine, hitting it for some damage, while trick misses.

Lara in her confused state tries to attack the nearest 'enemy'. not having anyone near her, she rushes towards the fight
