Nox looksat the crossbow. ”Can anyone tell if it is aimed at the door? I suspect that’s the only spot it will shoot at us. Perhaps I can use one of yours shields to hunker behind, and protect me while I fiddle with the doorknob.”
Any better ideas? We are getting too bogged down by this. I’ll take one of the shots, if someone will agree to take the other.
Momo Duline
"Hmm, yeah. Maybe we should all run in at the same time. It can only hit one of us, right? Luck of the draw, I say!" One side of Momo's mouth lifts up in a morbid smile. She straps her longbow across her back and starts doing leg stretches to prepare for the mad dash.
I don't mind taking some damage for the sake of progression.
Aenon Malas
So we're doing trapfinding the monk way then xD
Seeing as noone seems to have a solid solution to their trap conundrum, Aenon grabs the buckler and marches into the room. Using the walls to kick off of he tries to get enough height to block the panel with the shield. (No idea what rolls that would take.) Satisfied, he slowly approaches the door and opens it, every muscle in his body tensed and ready to hurl him out of harms way at the slightest sound from the mechanism.
Deth Tobrin
Deth respectfully lays 'Bernie' to rest by the door. "Sorry for disrespecting your corpse. I'll try and bury you later. he mutters to the skum. Seeing no reaction from the crossbow. He enters the room, buckler held high and tries to interpose himself between the trap and Momo.
I just know its going to shoot him. He's having one of those days.
Aenon Malas
Aenon was headed for the door where the panel was shot and the crossbow revealed
GM Striker
Making a hurried rush into the room to the left you manage to squeeze inside as the crossbows go off. With Aenon blocking one the other narrowly misses Momo as she darts into the room.

This chamber appears to be a workshop, as evidenced by a table along the western wall laden with tools and mechanical parts. Two clockwork servants occupy this room. Upon seeing you they inform you in a polite matter of fact tone, Azlanti, "Plese lay down your arms and surrender, you are trespassing in a secured facility."
Deth Tobrin
Deth steps forward, protecting the others. "14, What are they saying?'
At the first sign of offenive behavoir, Deth attacks. But he's willing to let Nox try and talk to them first

”They want us to put down our weapons. We are apparently trespassing. There’s not going to be any reasoning with these constructs. Once they have their orders, they aren’t going to deviate,” he whispers.
Delia Everheart
Delia agrees with Nox's assessment. "Agreed. Let us simply remove them from the equation and continue our mission." She quickly strikes out at the construct in front of her with her starknife!

Okay, so now here's the big question... Delia's Wordstrike ability states that it deals 1d4+level sonic damage to an object and half that do a living creature. Since constructs aren't considered living creatures, would they take the full damage from Wordstrike?
Aenon Malas
As Deth suddenly grows, Aenon is shoved up against the wall by his companions suddenly increased size. He shuffles around the giant druid to get to the clockwork creation before sending a series of kicks its way.

Delia Everheart
If the construct is still standing after that amazing round, then Delia will focus on it with her Wordstrike!
Sonic Damage (Wordstrike): 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Delia, wrapped up inside the net, puts aside the idea of attacking through the thick ropes! She begins humming a low tune as if to begin another of her rousing songs, but then suddenly something inside of her builds and builds, beckoning to be released! She lets out a loud shout, aimed at the construct and she sees cracks forming along the armor!
Deth Tobrin
Deth winces as he stretches his shoulder where the clockwork being hit him. A quick look reveals some serious bruising. He leans over and starts helping Delia out of the net. "Sorry I got in your way." he apologizes to Momo and Aenon. "It's just a reaction. I get in a fight and I want to get big."
He sheepishly asks Delia. "I seem to have been hurt yet again. You don't have any healing left do you?"
Momo Duline
Momo slings her longbow across her back so she can assist Deth in getting Delia untangled. Momo suggests: "If Delia is out of healing spells, we could always barricade ourselves here for the night." Momo crosses her arms over her chest as she looks around the room. What were those creatures doing here? They must be protecting something important. Does the room have any windows? "You all notice any clues about why those things were in here?"
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Aenon Malas
’Don’t worry about it Deth, it just came as a surprise. Just give us a heads up next time, eh?’ Aenon laughs as he starts searching the room. The fact that this ancient building still stands despite all others laying in ruins and these construct protecting it clearly means there’s something here to find. For a moment, Aenon forgets all about the prisoners and lets his sense of adventure guide him through the ancient halls.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Nininox Ambershale, XIV
”If we need to rest and heal up, wouldn’t it be better to wait outside? No telling what other clockworks will happen upon us during the evening. We might be better suited to wait by a fire outside,” the gnome offers.
Delia Everheart
Delia thanks the others as they assist in removing her from the netting. She then wanders over to examine the crack in the constructs frame from her vocalizations. 'Amazing, I've never done something like that before...'
She is lost in thought when Deth speaks her name. "I'm sorry, what was that, Deth?" She spots his still bleeding wounds and gasps. "Oh my, you're still injured! Come here." She wanders over and hums a lullaby-like tune as a blue glow encompasses her hands. She users her power over music to soothe some of Deth's injuries.
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Deth Tobrin
Deth's Fey Foundling Feat increases the healing to 6 "Thanks, Delia." he says as he pops another goodberry.
Leaving him with 1 left.
"I think we should continue. Momo, are there any traps on the door?" he asks as he himself scrutinizes it.

Tresure
Beneath the table is a metallic chest of drawers that contains countless gears, cogs, springs, and other parts and pieces to any number of clockwork contraptions. The equipment here is nonmagical, with one exception: nestled among the parts on the table is a single gemstone with a faint transmutation aura. This is a recording gem used in clockwork spies.
The way ahead appears to be clear.
P7
The faint coppery tang of blood wafts out of this room when the door is opened. A gleaming metal table covered in blood stands in the northeastern corner of the room. Just south of the table is a smaller table covered in surgical tools—some of them obviously used. A body lies in a butchered pile in the center of the room.
A metal sheet attached to the eastern wall of this room is etched with anatomical diagrams and brief instructions of incision length and depth for various parts of the human body. The body in the room has been stripped of most of its meat, but the carcass is otherwise intact. A set of bloody and torn men’s clothes sits in a pile near the smaller table.
Momo Duline
Momo picks up the recording gem and puts it in her bag (for now.) "Look, my widdle Scuddle-Wuddles! Aww! You have one of these!" Nidhi's heart skips a beat, maybe there are more Scuttles here! ("Aww! You're one of those!" = "Aww! You have one of these!")
Scuttles tilts its spherical head from its perch in Momo's pack, examining the stone.
Seeing the butchered body, Momo looks around for anything moving. "Is... that a colonists?"
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Nininox Ambershale, XIV
Nox rushes up to the body. He was terrified to see who it might be. His first thought was that he hoped beyond hope it wasn’t Uncle Nini. He stared long and hard at the remains, hoping it was still identifiable.
Delia Everheart
"We should bring these parts back with us! Maybe the colonists can put this to go use."
When she spots the butchered body, she stops in her tracks. "Oh my..." She whispers a prayer to Desna for the fate of the poor person. "That is awful. What sort of abomination would butcher a sentient being like this?"
