Since both you and Tiasar made your saves, you're able to both move with the footlocker at normal speed as long as you two stay adjacent to each other.

Alright, moving on without Jake's action... I'm going to assume he just stands by and waits.

Daimonji manages to keep himself steady for the home stretch. Tiefling cooks may be able to stand the heat, but smoke, not so much.

That's some fortunate placement. If either Iolande or Tiasar can't move this round, Daimonji'll be making a grab for the box and trying to help get it out. Otherwise, he's going for the exit.

Nodding his thanks to Ryster, Tiasar continues pulling the footlocker

Whew! You guys made it! This was the worst round of it too. Next turn, it's a d6 of non lethal every turn, and if you go unconscious, you immediately start suffocating. Which means, three rounds and you're dead.

The party, coughing from the smoke that has consumed the warehouse, successfully drags the footlocker outside. Ryster runs out moments later clutching Morde, who apparently caught too much smoke in his tiny lungs.

"You pulled that from the warehouse? Good work. Ryster, care to get it open?"

Ryster shrugs off his pack, cracks his knuckles and digs out his lockpicks. He studies the lock for a moment and then sets to work on it.

Does taking Twenty for 28 get it?

The Exchange

Coughing heavily, Tiasar takes a quick drink from a flask in his pocket. He coughs once more and shakes his head, then makes his way over to Morde, making sure he's allright

The footlocker is actually unlocked.

Opening the footlocker reveals an unmistakeable jackpot. On the inner side of the box's lid, a scarab of the dawnflower has been secured to the container. Resting inside are several letters from local collectors and aristocrats, all looking to purchase Cayden's Keg. Among the paperwork is a document detailing a client list for someone named "Parani Akar" and the different connections for religious artifacts they possess.

Further official-looking letters identify Parani as a former member of the Pure Legion, which also include correspondence with others detailing why she left Rahadoum; her rise to power with the Legion was notable, but was seemingly caught for extorting and blackmailing any citizens with religious ties. She hastily fled to Absalom, looking for some sort of cover to form a new identity and still continue her persecution over the religious. At the bottom of the footlocker is a uniform of one of the Pure Legion.

Finally, the footlocker contains two different potions, a suit of masterwork agile half-plate, and a golden statue to Iomedae that looks very valuable.

Moments after sifting through the contents of the portable locker, a fire brigade arrives on the scene to begin subduing the fire to the best of their abilities. Many citizens have begun to gather, some pointing in your direction.

"All that's left is to find this b%&~+ and bring her in."

Hrolf nods.

"Let's get this to Torch."

Murmuring from the small crowds seem to indicate that some Graycloaks are either on the scene or are very close. Do you wish to stay, or take off before they arrive?

Tiasar:
You're not sure what the first one is, but the second potion is Cure Light Wounds.

Tucking the healing potion next to his other one, Tiasar carefully wraps up the other one to study it later. He whispers "I think graycloaks are coming, what should we do?"

But then, Greycloaks. The large tiefling looks to the burning building, then to the approaching authorities. He frowns. "...If we leave now, we'll make the Pathfinder Society look like criminals," he simply offers.

Ryster, make a Disable Device check. It seems well-secured to the box and too much force might severely damage it. A Strength check will also suffice, though has greater odds of ruining the item.

Iolande takes a few moments to get her breath back, and wipe eyes that sting from the smoke. She wanders over when she chest is opened, and her eyes widen just a touch at the sight of the scarab. However, Ryster gets to it first, and she gives him a private smile.

"I agree with Hrolf," she finally says. "The warehouse fire will alert her and cause her to squirrel herself away until this blows over. It's...regretable how it makes us appear, but it needs to be done."

Once the party has finished deliberating, a small group of Graycloaks, three in number, all turn the corner and run towards the burning structure.

He closes his eyes and brings his hands up "Sebithra cloukra!" light shoots from his fingertips and strikes the ground at the opening of the alley, and the ground silently rises up to create a wall

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
1d20 ⇒ 7

As the party makes a mad dash away from the scene of the burning warehouse, you are able to move away to a point where the noise and commotion of the incident seem distant.

As the day begins to crawl to an end and the evening sun hangs low in the sky, the stalls and tents of the God's Market seem relatively empty. It seems many have closed shop, and the occasional body running towards the direction you came seems to suggest the rest are headed to investigate the large plume of smoke that now reaches far into the sky.

1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 11 + 2 = 27

Then, out of nowhere, the snap of a bowstring letting loose and the whiz of an arrow is heard, as one flies from the northwest and pierces Hrolf.

Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 2 = 5
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

The arrow thankfully grazes the Ulfen instead of sinking deep, but an immediate glance on the wound reveals grave news- a black substance has embedded itself into Hrolf's injury.

Tiasar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Parani: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

The surprise round is over, so we are in normal initiative. I need a FORT save from Hrolf at the beginning of your turn. You can post out of turn, but I will resolve actions based on the order. Parani is in a lookout tent-tower, 20 feet off the ground. There doesn't seem to be a ladder up to her level, as it has been destroyed.

Also, I'm going to assume any damage from the warehouse fire to Hrolf was healed at some point while headed back. So just mark those off your wand or spells.

Round 1, Init. 25

The upper torso of a woman cloaked in gray is seen peeking over the side of a tent-tower in the middle of the God's Market. After her successful opening shot, she grabs a handful of arrows from her quiver and takes aim at the party.

Correct. She has a high vantage point, but can't see you if you're immediately behind a tent or building. However, she does go before you in initiative, so her second attack strikes you before you move. Make sense?
