Iolande doesn't have much time at all for back-patting at the success of her spell. She hears something and her head snaps up sharply and she looks to the cart, just in time to see the cask shrink and vanish. "Nethys' staff," she curses, and looks around the cart, trying to figure out what just happened.

Daimonji's curse is loud but muffled as he notices the cask up and vanishing away from them. "Unless..."

Thinking quickly, he grabs one of the small bags of powdered chalk he keeps in his bag, then throws it where the shrunken cask was just a second ago.

Attacking the cask's area with some Powder: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Standing adjacent to where the cask was is the faint outline of a humanoid body, possibly female.

The Exchange

"Well done Daimonji...now let's see..." Tiasar humms a few notes from a lullaby, then it drifts into a few flowing notes of the arcane as he directs his magic towards the outline

Casting sleep, centered on the outline. DC 16 or fall asleep for 1 min

Iolande seems to be on a roll...well, for her she is with her rotten luck. She sees the outline, and hopes that gives her enough of a visual to attempt a Daze spell at the invisible one.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

The chalky outline seems to be standing still.

The woman on the ground, surrounded by Hrolf and Jake, has a look of panic in her eyes as she screams, "Don't kill my sister, please! I beg you!"

The Exchange

Tiasar slowly approaches the figure, casting detect magic as he goes

"Damn!"

The cask reappears in its original location, but still at a much-reduced size. Once the chalk fades away, there is a brief moment of perfect invisibility before the woman completely appears before the group. She looks very similar to the other woman that is surrounded in the nearby alley.

"You're precious little artifact is safe. Let us go, you dirty mongrels."

Tiasar, I'm going to say she surrenders before your full-round Sleep spell went off, so you can cancel it and still have it if you want.

Just to speed things up a little bit...

As the woman scowls at Hrolf, she begins to break down and plead for the life of her sister. The information she gives you is the same as what Barnel told you - They've never seen their boss, but she suspects a Graycloak, and she has a strong hatred for clerics or other god-worshipers. However, one additional piece of useful information does come from her lips. She begins to describe in detail about a warehouse that her boss uses to store goods, and can even give you directions to the warehouse.

Yes, no time to waste. says Ryster, as he takes the cask and puts it in his pocket.

Is it that small? I assume the Society will have a way to dispel the magic. As long as the spell doesn't end while it is in his pocket. That wouldn't be good.

"Right, let's do this." Daimonji glances at Ryster, dusting his hands off from the remaining chalk, "guess this delivery's takin' a detour."

The exterior of this run-down warehouse is rotting, and the
roof is clearly sagging in places. Any paint that once coated
its walls has long since flaked off the parched-looking gray
wood. The windows are boarded firmly shut, and both pairs of
loading doors appear to be jammed closed.

I've never used Google Docs to make a map before, so I hope this turned out alright. Let me know if you have any questions.

Ryster creeps up and examines both doors for traps, locks and the ability to bar one of the doors.

The door doesn't seem to be trapped. However, it seems boarded shut from the inside and doesn't easily open.

He starts stretching out, just waiting for a signal.

There are only the two large loading doors.

The western one.

After a big heave of his shoulders, the doors come off of their hinges and fall to the ground. The interior of the warehouse is dim, even during the day, as very little light creeps in through the boarded up windows.

After the loud echo of the doors falling ceases, only silence can be heard from within the building.
