Jax looks over his teammates's shoulders to read the note, munching loudly in their ear on a turkey leg pilfered from the Lodge's kitchens.
"Oh nice *munch much* so another bit of fun today. *chomp chew* Maybe this time we can take someone actually a part of the team that's been makin' all this happen."
He pauses to think, slurping some grease off his fingertips. "Anything we wanna do before midnight?" He shrugs with a half-grin, then tosses the bone aside ... producing another from a rag in his pack. "I'm up for whatever."

![]() |

"Well that's an interesting piece of information! I'm thrilled to see what happened!" declares the ganzi with a grin from ear to ear.

![]() |

I think I have had enough of the market for today, I'm gonna rest until time to go if we are not to go anywhere else.
GM, what time of day is it?

![]() |

Trevyn has been sitting idly by, leatting the more Charismatic of the group speak to the woman. "Och, seems like a plan. Let's go look around there."

![]() |

"If we must." Bregan replies wearily, almost dying having taken a bit of pep out of his step. "Good idea, Goran. Better the devil you know and all that ... Or was it the devil is in the details. Never mind, hopefully devils are not included tonight in any way, shape or form"

GM ShadowLord |

A few small lanterns illuminate this rickety stretch of shoreline, and the smell of moldering wood fills the air. Ramshackle buildings line the shore, while short wooden docks protrude into the gently lapping waters of the lake.
Map is up, I just plopped you guys in the corner in a random order. No need to move each sqaure along the way, just give me your plan and some rolls if required to go along with it.

Jax looks around at the quiet docs. "So, let's do some snoopin'." He shrugs, "Nearest buildings first? Then make our way to the far bridge and head towards them water? Checking buildings as we go?"
Basically, I suggest we check the nearest buildings first (starting with the top-most one on the map), then swing around the left side of the map. Which lets us approach up that middle east-west path, checking all buildings on the way and ending at the water front.
If folks are agreeable...

Trevyn walks along relatively blindly and not paying attention to where he places his feet, making noise, but Arthes is quiet as a ghost (as is expected, since she is one.)

GM ShadowLord |

The group begins to systematically make their way around the various areas and explore them. Room after room, building after building appear to be empty. They cross a bridge and visit the building in the center of the district and Jaxin finds the door is locked. Unfortunately for the party they do not approach quietly enough to spring surprise on whomever is inside as they can hear movement inside after the door rattles.
A moment later a loud bell is rung several times from inside of the building adjacent to the party and somewhere in the distance a door swings open with a BANG. Down by the docks a man (red) in a mask walks out with a longbow in his hand. He shouts, "It's them, they're here! For the living God!"

Trevyn and Arthes both double-move toward the man. Arthes screams bloody murder at him as she moves toward him. Not going to spend an action in intimidate, so it's just for flavor.

![]() |

Not wanting to let a fellow pathfinder walk into a trap, Jaxin does the only thing he knows to do … he rushes forward, hoping to spring the trap himself.
Double move, map updated.
”Yah! It’s us! We’re here! Don’t shoot!”

Esh doesn't understand why everyone rushes towards one man, as they were going to enter a house. Thus, he opens the door and readies himself for what stands beneath it.

Sorry for that!
Esh double moves boldly towards the lonely man!

GM ShadowLord |

In the interest of aligning the inits to make it less bumpy, RED will delay until after Goran to allow you all to go at the same time. I will post RED's move as it seems unlikely Gordan would change that. After Goran posts's I'll do orange and then we'll have everyone post again.
The man steps away from Arthes and the coming onslaught and fires his bow towards her. His arm shakes as he is unsure what the hell it is that is blasting towards him and his arrow flies off in the wrong direction. He screams a bit in frustration as he loads another arrow.

Once Goran moves away the door flies open and another man wearing the same mask as the first emerges from the house with a quarterstaff. He eyes an easy target in Pendergast and moves in to strike. The strike is about to smash the inspector squarely in the mouth when it stops an inch from his face, hitting an invisible wall. The attack grunts in confusion frustration at the shield. "It matters not! Your fate has been foretold and your existence must be eradicated! It is the only way!"
Party up!

Unaware of the man threatening the Inspector, Jax slides his shield into place as he closes on the archer. ”Let’s all be friendly. We’re here to meet Guaril. Not no living god.”
Ready shield, move adjacent to Red (map updated)
So, I fully intended to get healed up back at the Lodge by the VC. I guess that ship has sailed, huh?

Drawing his rapier, Bregan steps forward and flanks the man attacking the Inspector.
"You do understand that tonight it is you who must surrender or else we shall be forced to feed you and your companions to the local fish population"
He says in his most concerned voice Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

The Inspector flinches from the near miss, and adjusts his spectacles before they fall off his face.
"Right. My good man. I don't suppose we could be reasonable about this? I think there has been a misunderstanding."
5-foot step back and Total Defense; AC temporarily 25.
Edit: Darn! 3 minute ninja.

The Inspector sighs.
"Yes, yes. And I suppose this petty encounter is worth your life? You don't think your Living God wishes more out of you for the future? Because, I'm sure you can see..."
The Inspector points to the Ganzi.
"...that that man is at least as crazy as you, and at least as murderous. The only difference is that he's stronger and has a bigger weapon. Would be a shame if your faiths collided."

"No surrender? I like that part!" says Esh, drawing his rapier and using a quick action to enter a murderous trance. He tumbles in order to reach a flanking position and pierces the man!

The Razmiran yelps when the ganzi pierces him with his rapier. "He gives the ganzi a stern look and says, [b]"It is not too late for you, heathen. Travel to heart of the Exalted Woods to be indoctrinated into Razmir's faith and stop you foolish antics against the one true God. Failure is not an option for the faithful."
Still waiting on a few.

"Gwahaha shut your mouth already and feel the "true" pain of Calistria's sting!" answers the ganzi, laughing loudly.

Arthe's attack misses, coming up short.
Dropping his bow the cornered man decides to tell Goran more by pulling out his handaxe and firmly embedding it in the clerics's face (8 Damage).
Frustrated with the inspector's sheild, the other masked man whips around and swings over top of Bregan's head with his quarterstaff. Frustrated with his miss AGAIN, he screams in fury.

Realizing more blood may be spilled, and preferring that it not be from his comrades, the Inspector moves up to assist Bregan.

To Bregan, "I hope your martial prowess in this endeavor proves superior."

Arthes slams the man twice and takes him into the ground. Seeing no need to outright kill the man, Trevyn double-times it back to the others at the first location just in time to see Bregan land his rapier assault.
The sole remaining resistance member swings his quarterstaff at Bregan's head, but misses when the half-elf ducks. The quarterstaff slams into the building adjacent to Bregan with a loud CRACK. "Stop fidgeting around and take your punishment like a man! Repent!"
When he catches the sound of foot traffic headed his way he takes a 5' backwards away from Bregan.

Still not altogether sure what is happening with these zealots, Braegan stoops to grab the archer's collar, then drags the man back towards the remaining fight.
"You tell'em, Esh!"
Standard: grab the unconscious archer. Move: back towards the fight.

"Now, now, Inspector I thought henchmen of Razmir had better aim than that, As he neatly ducks the quarterstaff and steps up along with the henchman when he backs up. Flicking the sword's tip first low and wide before rolling his wrist and coming back up the inside of the man's guard.
