Well, it's been quite a time since my last post (let alone creating a thread!), but I hope this would be a good one.
The questions are:
1. Which are those games/campaigns that you (as a GM) want to run?
2. Which are those games/campaigns that you (as a player) want to be a part of?
These are some of my own GMing dreams:
- An anime-style Mage: The Awakening game with my own homebrew core mechanics.
- A Red Hand of Doom game, in its original format (D&D 3.5) or converted to Pathfinder.
- A Cthulhutech game.
- A homebrew campaign located in the Five Kings Mountains.
- A Mythender game.
- A space adventure game set in the DBZ universe.
And so on,
What's yours? Maybe you can find people ready to play/GM your dream game here in the boards!

I just want to actually finish an AP.
In the past three years, we've started 6 APs, one home brew, and a Sahdowrun game. Not a single one of them has lasted more than a few months. The furthest we've gotten in an AP was the end of Book 3 before everyone decided to play something new (that was or second attempt at Carrion Crown, and the reason we got that far was because we picked up where we left off from the last time we played it).
I'm trying to run Iron Gods right now. I'm almost done with book 2.
Edit: Did you seriously bump your own thread after only 20 minutes?

The trick to this is commitment from the entire group. Sometimes an AP has some 'rough moments' that can result in, to put it politely, "high school drama". Get over those, add some Roman numerals after the character name, the GM simply lets the 'new' PCs slide into play without much of a hiccup, letting the game go on. Obviously the 'finale' of an AP can result in AP failure, but at least the characters get all of the way there.

Want to Run?
Have my players realize all the little details falling into place in my HERO system champions 'End of days'metaplot.
Iron Gods (all my players would be gun proficient builds, a la the magnificent seven)
Reign of Winter(because baba yaga and rasputin, plus grimm's fairy tales)
Kingmaker(next one up on the table for me after Savage Tide ends actually!)
Want to Play?
Shadowrun
Champions (love the system)
Tales from the Floating Vagabond
Eclipse Phase (find the setting engaging.)

I'd like to run Rise of the Runelords which for one reason or another has never been right for our group when it has come time to start a campaign.
My main goal is to have the players care enough about the backstory of any campaign to actually learn about Golarion. I think they're really missing out, since they never seem to learn much of the background setting material even though all my games are set there. I even have to go through things like the pantheon every campaign. Remind them who Cheliax is, etcetera...
In terms of playing - I prefer high mortality, low treasure, sandbox games but that's almost the opposite of what the other DMs like to run, so I doubt it's going to happen anytime soon. :(

Want to Play: Anything where roleplaying is the main goal.
This. What I miss the most about gaming these days is how the players seem to go after goals like malnourished piranhas but have no interest in the lower key? simpler? facets of adventuring... You manage to seamlessly incorporate the player's goal into the overall story but halfway through it the players are like 'dang. If I knew it was going to take this long I never would have wanted it in the first place...'
I wanted it... But I just wanted you to give it to me with no fuss. Immediately.
It used to be that getting there was half the fun. There used to be an ebb and flow to the amount of danger the party was in... At least for me lately it seems like players just want to 'fast forward to the door kickin boss monster fightin' part as soon as possible.

I want to run:
- A space adventure game loosely inspired by Spelljammer
- A kingdom-running game ala Birthright or Houses of the Blooded
- Curse of the Crimson Throne and Second Darkness to round out our Varisian megacampaign
- Another game with my old homebrew system/setting
As you might guess, a couple of those have been on the list for a long time :)
I want to play:
I don't actually really play much or enjoy playing that much. My spouse is really looking forward to running Hell's Rebels, though, so I'll be playing that.
Cheers!
