Ascendant Rowan |

Gotcha, will update when I get home later today. Thanks Rednal. ^^

Julian Fey |

Everything is up to date. Was flying home. ^^;

Ascendant Rowan |

Updated as well. Justneed to change status bar.
*Cough Cough so do you Julian...

Ascendant Rowan |

I wish you could fit more on the status bar, like have a couple sets of expandle spoilers or something.

Tarov Boulderfist |

Things like the picture of Rowan, her religion and her senses aren't really necessary for it. You just want to have information that is helpful for combat, as everything else can be found pretty easily in her profile.

Tarov Boulderfist |

That is true. The gender field would probably work, as well. Lord knows why you'd need THAT much room, though!

Ascendant Rowan |

Rest for now. Start RP fresh tomorrow. We have a Hill to conquer! >;3

Ascendant Rowan |

Dawnbringers [Aurobots] Roll Out!
So another army battle and another personal skirmish. >;3 Drezen is loads of fun so far! We also have a big teddy bear of a creature back at camp. :3 Rowan doesn't mind bedding down with the Chimera, like a big heated pillow I am sure. Though I am curious, is it a Large or Larger creature?

Julian Fey |

Lmao, so long as I am not a chew toy I am doing Fine~
Roll incoming! just need to make adjustments for our change in tactics.

Ascendant Rowan |

So far this fight is going decently, don't know how well we are doing but it seems so far the dice are holding with us. Granted the next rolls are unknown...
Most likely this will be the toughest one yet for the Dawnbringers. Lets hope our luck holds because Ahari Bridge is in our near future. :3
Lol Best Protectors Ever xD Good to be appreciated. :) Rowan doesn't mind that at all. Though he was tough on his own that is for sure.

Ascendant Rowan |

I hate to leave Tarov in the dark so if he doesn't post for the fight we should build a history of what/where and how things are going. Something easily identifiable for him to see read and get up to speed. At least though we are only one battle further then before.

Julian Fey |

Just letting Tarov get his roll in. So totally missed the part of auto success for one move, Which meant we switched to standard but Rowans post put us back on cautious which kinda paid off in the last rolls there.
The army is still 16/16 then right?
But for moves of more then one step we roll the morale check which is dc 20 right? Using Irabeth's modifiers. Or we can each melee phase step it up/down by 1 track.
Still not used to the army rules as well as I should be. This is the only real campaign I have used Paizo's Army rules lol.
Thanks for the patience Rednal! XD
Also I kept the DV at 22 because I didn't know the enemy had spell casters or not xD Kinda one of those Let the DMadd it when it applied. Again, lack of experiance so I will build a new copy paste to replace Rowan's. :)
[-b]Army HP[/b] 16/16 [-b]Army DV[/b] 18+2+2+4 = 26 [-i](Spellbreaker, Cautious, Battlefield Advantage)[/i]
[-ooc][-b]Tactics -[/b] Spellbreaker [/ooc]
[-b][-ooc]Strategy Track -[/b] Cautious | DV: +2 | OM: -2 | Damage: -3[/ooc]
[-ooc]Channel Positive / LoH to keep up our healing as needed. Heal 3 (Equal to Army ACR-) with Minus 1 to attack (Not included as full details of injuries are unknown as of this post.[/ooc]
[-dice=Melee Phase 5 or 4 of Army Attack - Cautious]1d20+10-2[/dice]
There we go, just need to remove the [ - ] symbols and it'll work. Any changes done to the strategy track will have to be done manually though and adjust the rolls DV and such with each change.
To our continued success!

GM Rednal |
Yeah, Army rules aren't used too widely... XD Which makes sense, given that campaigns are usually about small groups of adventurers. This campaign actually has an excuse for it, though, given everything that's happening.
(Not totally sure if that's good or bad... it works in what it sets out to do, but player involvement is mostly limited to picking out stuff for the army to learn. After that, it's almost autopilot. o_O I wouldn't mind something with a little more involvement from you guys. Next time, I might just ask you for a few army combat rolls each and we can try to speed through it, and you can decide as a group any modifiers you'd like me to add. Say, "do healing if health drops below X", "do these strategies as our overall plan", etc. I see no real reason to spend too many days on something with minimal player involvement. This is YOUR game, dangit! ...And it's probably easier to do reactive army stuff on a tabletop.)

Julian Fey |

That is true. Tabletop I could see the army rules being more useful. What would have been interesting is instead of a single army, somehow scaling it for several different groups (one per PC) that way each group moved autonomously and you could practice teamwork and still have an adventure team-like setup.
Group of mounted knights led by a Cavalier.
Group of foot-based Paladins led by the party paladin.
Mages.
Scouts.
You get the drift.
At least thefights Were fairly fast, not because of player absences but because this Schir army is damn tough apparently lol! We will break through eventually!
Spent a lot more time reading over the rules as my books have them and opening up my army generator on Herolab.
Bought a bunch more books today and created a fairly interesting Lapith w/Fey Creature and Quickling Template who is a Rogue/Shadowdancer.
Pretty neat character all around.

Ascendant Rowan |

Holy crap Julian.
Quickling, Fey and Lapith. He has to have a dex of like 30... and speed up to 200ft. what the hell did you build them for?
____________________________________________________________
On the 1666th post in game I roll a 19... This will be the day that on the 1667 the Schir will roll a Nat 20 with Reckless bonuses and give us some Pain. Either way totally awesome fight! X-O!!!

Julian Fey |

Lol and Rowan was one point off from his/her prediction. xD
Very nice end to the fight though and a fun back and forth on crushing the entrenched forces of Paradise Hill.
No reason just stacking Templates for fun. >;3

Ascendant Rowan |

There was supposedly two posts....
Stacking Templates. Still a Rogue/Shadowdancer with those templates would be a lot of fun.
Huzzah! A lucky strike and a near devastating hit back form the Schir.
Now we have Meiyun, just got to see to it she isn't sickly and take care of her. Looking forward to how she works out in the future.

Tarov Boulderfist |

Alright, I hate to do this, but it's pretty clear to me that I just can't keep up in my PbP games and take care of all the stuff life is throwing at me right now. I thought things would get better once student teaching was over, but between looking for a new job, a new car, and a new place to live I just don't have the time to spend on these games anymore. :(
I really feel bad about leaving you guys in the lurch, but I haven't been able to give you guys enough of my time and attention for quite awhile now.

Julian Fey |

D: That's too bad!
Like we've been saying bud, RL comes first, if you felt like we were rushing you then bad on us. We knew you were going through some tough times. Heck I just finally got my letter for my Merging into another group where I work.
However, do what you have to bud and if you come back i'd play with you again in a heartbeat. :( Hopefully things get better for you!

Ascendant Rowan |

Oh dear god no! No combat for little old her! She'll be my crafting buddy and all around good friend I think. :)
Tarov
That really sucks man, I really do hope things start to work out for you. You weren't a burden to us at all as we felt we were rushing things on our end (Julian and I, not Rednal as Rednal is the narrator/DM xD). Hence why we were trying to think of ways to make it so you could read a single post and get back into the action.
With whats going on I second Julian, get your life back in order, job etc. and if you have the time to return I'd be glad to have you again! Appreciate the fun times we had though, you are a hell of an RPer and we hate to lose a good one. Hope to see you again bud. :(

Ascendant Rowan |

Its hard to say really. Julian and I are a pair of glass cannons. If anything perhaps we could NPC Tarov's character at least until the end of this Siege. If we recruit someone in the mean time hopefully they bring in a tank like Tarov or another powerful spellslinger. :/
Edit for Rednal's post
I would totally slow down to keep Tarov. Up to him though as his life is chaotic and I don't want to push him into something he cannot handle atm.
If you can Tarov state how it can be done. I know you have post above but if there is something we can do to help let us know. ( ^-^)d

Julian Fey |

Yeah. Our bad there. :/
Thought if we got through the army battle he could get back into the more personal RP. Our mistake and next time we will take it slower. :C
If we need to slow down to keep him here then thats fine by me a post every couple of days would be fine. :)

GM Rednal |
It's easy to make specific requests for re-recruitment. XD Don't worry about that side of things.
But seriously, you're probably going to want the help in the citadel. *Rubs chin* Two characters - even mythic gestalts - probably aren't going to be enough.
I do have a way to handle this in the plot, at least, so there's that...

Julian Fey |

>.>;;;;

Julian Fey |

Nvm I misread your post lol, thought it was something in the plot doing with the remova of Tarov hance the >.>;. Understandable that it is going to be rough with just Us two. :/ thats for sure lol.
Nevertheless, if you want to take things slower next time just post saying so and if we missed it just gibbs us lol. We do enough gaming outside that we can keep busy xD.
Our bad again, really. I have Rowan over atm and we are talking things over about the game and stuff. We are definitely staying put here and we'd rather not replace Tarov if we knew he was coming back at some point. So yeah, heavy discussion.
Are there other great players out there, sure.
But they are not our Tarov lol.
However by the sounds of it he is out for awhile, if he can swing it sure but looking for a job is friggen stressful... :/ As we all know.

Julian Fey |

Understood. :/
I don't mind using an NPC for now. Up to you really if we get 1-2 new players to replace Tarov. Don't mind either way, I have a few players who are decent RPers who would enjoy a fast paced game such as this.

Julian Fey |

Rowan is in agreement with my above statement. When/If Tarov comes back we can address it then. I know a few players who are decent posters and would love a campaign like this. But if you have something else in mind thats fine too. Your game. Our adventure but your game hehe. :D
We can do a little rping while we figure it out eh?

Julian Fey |

Rhavenna this is the centaur they are playing in my campaign. Very good poster and very interesting rper as well. I sent them an email to see if they would be interested.
I will wait and see if they respond.

Julian Fey |

They play in a few other games of mine which are stalled atm. One being an underground WotR which they have made many an interestimg character thus far.

Julian Fey |

I have another friend who played up until our last game which all three of us was in fell apart. I will see if he is interested.

Julian Fey |

Rhavenna is very interested in joining us.
My friend appears to be still burned out over the last game and has declined. I told Rhavenna about Tarov and to build whatever they wanted nonethless and gave them a link to the recruitment and a quick dirty lvls/tiers we were at however I told themI would pass it on to you and let you make your decision. :)
Didn't know if you had someone else in mind, so let me/them know! Thanks!

Julian Fey |

Roger that! I will leave it to you then. :D

Rhavenna |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Just thought I'd say Hi here. I'm the person Julian recruited.
If it's all good I'll get started on creating the character. I'm considering Monk/Cleric or Ranger/Inqisitor who worships Rgathiel and has been trained to hunt and kill demons from an early age by a secluded group.
The idea for being raised into Ragathiel's service comes from the last line of Ragathiel's entry.
"Ragathiel has a small but old cult in Magnimar, a city known for its many mystery cults revering various empyreal lords."
Perhaps there was a small secretive cell training in Kenabres as well.

Julian Fey |

Hello Rhavenna! :D
Looking forward to what you come up with! XD

Ascendant Rowan |

Hello Rhavenna, it'll be nice to have you onboard. :)
Looking forward to what you come up with. Gestalt combos always surprise me. ;)
