Tyranius still seems to be trapped in the twisting vines. Not knowing what else to do he draws his shortsword to start hacking away at the vines and grass.

These vines are going to engulf me....

There was a loud roar as Tanwen darted in at the Goblin - and a massive cougar with red stripes running down its back lunged out of the undergrowth and swiped at the warrior, blocking her way.

The strike momentarily rattled her, but now there was no way to the goblin - and at least she was able to bring her weapon down on the cougar instead, scoring a deep slice. Meanwhile, Shalluk had finally managed to get free, though Tyranius was still trapped within their grasp, and they continued to try and pull him down.

Only Tanwen is out of the spell's area - and has the space to be. Those who remain within need to make news saves at the end of each turn to stay free!

The goblin threw another bolt of fire a moment later, clearly trying to take Tyranius down before he could get free. Also? Burning things. Goblins rather enjoyed that, and this one was sniggering wildly as he threw the fire.

The cougar managed to duck under the thrown weapon that Tyranius tossed out, dodging Tanwen's falcata a moment later even as Shalluk's bolt went wide instead of hitting the small goblin. Somewhat impressively, both the goblin and the cougar managed to continue avoiding the attacks - and it was rapidly becoming apparent that the two of them were much more capable than the great majority of goblinkind.

DC 15, if the big kitty fails it tries to rake it's master for a round. Pretty typical cat behaviour, really.

Guess I won't be getting any healing from her fire sword now, way to go Shalluk.

Working together, Shalluk and Tanwen piled onto the goblin druid (as it were), and in a few short moments there was nothing left of him. The elf woman wasted no time at all in tapping Tanwen and Tyranius with her wand - and being quite generous with the use of it, too.

You're all back to full health, though the wand is rather more drained than before. ^^

Once she was done with the healing, she nodded in satisfaction and looked around. "Shalelu Andosana." she said, extending one hand. "That was a bit close, but I'm glad you three are all right."

"Tanwen Anwyl." Tanwen says, taking the elf's hand and shaking it promptly. "For a moment there I thought they had us...You know, we've actually been looking for you, they say you know a thing or two about the goblins out here, and we were sent here to kill them."

Tyranius Tekushikume Tyranius says introducing himself.

Thanks for saving our hides. I am more used to working within the cities and not with chaotic goblins it seems.

The Tiefling nodded. "Shalluk," he murmured, now that his tongue was free of it's curse. "Again, our thanks for the timely intervention."

"More than a few things." the elven woman observed. "And I've seen enough to bother me, too - most of the tribes in the area seem to be cooperating, and that's very unusual for goblins. They usually find it hard enough to stay focused long enough to open a door." She bent down and started retrieving arrows, checking carefully to be sure they were still usable. "You three planning to take down the fort, then?"

"It's a long story," Shalluk replied, "But the Goblins have been gathered by a Cleric of Lamashtu who is trying to become a demon of some kind. Once that happens she will storm the town, the Goblins in tow. We must get in and defeat her before that happens."

Tyranius had not heard the complete story until now. I am just doing a favor for the Sheriff as I just recently arrived back into town.

We should hurry though.

Tyranius begins to search through the goblins belongings.

"The goblins already caught Sandpoint off guard once, and we're here to make sure it doesn't happen again." Tanwen adds as Tyranius begins rummaging through the goblin's belongings.

The dead druid was carrying quite a lot in the way of helpful gear - two potions of cure light wounds, two wands (which someone would need to identify), and small-sized versions of +1 1eather armor, a cloak of resistance +1, a sling, and a spear. Bit hard to wear or use yourself, but quite probably something that could be sold at a reasonable price.

"I see." Shalelu said grimly. She tossed Shalluk the wand she'd been using to cure your wounds. "May as well take that with you, then - I'd like it back afterwards, but don't hesitate to use it if you need it. I'll make sure no one comes to hit you from behind."

"Let me see those" Tanwen says, taking a closer look at the wands.

The first stick is a Wand of Produce Flame with 33 charges left in it. The other is a Wand of Tree Shape, with four charges left in it.

He holds the cloak out to his new companions.

Either of you need further protection?

Being small the +1 leather armor can be placed in the community pot to sell as we can't use it. I am unable to use the wands also

Shalluk stared at the cloak. "Perhaps as a scarf?" he asked, only half jokingly.

Shalelu looked faintly amused at the discussion. "You might be able to get someone in town to resize it for you once you head back." she observed. "The cloak, at least. Not sure about the armor."

The Tiefling nodded. "For now, we will simply put it away and focus on other things. With the Goblin Dogs and the Goblin caster defeated, we should have an easier time moving through here." Hopefully. This fight had been too deadly.

Tyranius kneels on the ground and looks about for the large trail that they had been following. His hands brush aside some sticks as he tries to disseminate the battle that just took place against the trail they were following.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Survival: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Fortunately, it wasn't hard to pick up the main trail again - once you'd found it, even through the disruption of combat, it wasn't hard to predict its path and keep going. The trail headed up to the north - though there was also the druid's rooms to the south, if you cared to explore them.
