Explosive Orb (Shape) - Fire a blast that explodes in a ten foot +5ft per 5 caster levels. Reflex halves, cost 1 spell point.

Well, if you don't plan to use a lot of blast shapes, Focused Blast is objectively better than Greater Blast. If you want to try doing AoE's, Greater Blast is better. If you'd rather do healing, Revitalize is much more cost-efficient than Greater Healing or Healing Aegis (though the former improves Revitalize). Not so good for in-battle recovery, but amazing outside of combat. The choice really comes down to whether you want to hurt or heal more. Of note: You did take Energy Blade, and that's a Shape talent, so it wouldn't play nice with Focused Blast.

As a melee striker with that Kapenia, I think your AC is currently dipping below a viable level. If you pick up Prescient Dodger as your Rogue Talent, you can dodge rather more blows and work in tandem with Rixa as Shalluk supports from the rear. (Between Sneak Attack and your Energy Blade talent, your damage should be fine, although your to-hit could definitely use a boost.)

For Rogue Talent, I do think Prescient Dodger will be the most help which if I'm reading properly will give Zelani +3 to her AC plus an +1 for being 6th Level.

For Druid Sphere Talent, I have been deciding between healing and smashing essentially and had it narrowed between Revitalize if I want to heal and for the smash either Focused Blast or Energy Wall or Energy Satellite. I found this a far harder choice to make. I think character wise, Focused Blast would be better with the idea of Zelani tapping into and channeling the emotions this situation has brought up and hopefully by next level she will be be more in a healing place as in the end I feel she will be a balance between those two.

So yeah, finally decided, sorry for the wait.


No problem. ^^ PbP is pretty slow, after all, so I think it's important to take the time and make a good choice (<- something that will be fun to play) instead of trying to rush the matter.

Shalluk is looking for what the city thinks of the man. Is he liked, or feared?


Bit of both, really. He definitely gets stuff done, but he's not especially social and he's a very powerful figure in the city's judicial system - few people would go out of their way to antagonize him. He's somewhat equivalent to member of a senior court of appeals (or possibly even the Supreme Court) in the US, or perhaps a High Court judge in the UK. Varisia is more a collection of city-states than a traditional nation, so it's a bit hard to pinpoint the best role to describe him other than "really senior judge, but not the only judge in his court".

He's not publicly known to. On the other hand, he's not publicly known to do much of anything - he's somewhat reclusive and only seems to attend the minimal amount of expected social events and the like.

Yeah, honestly, I'm really lost as to what we're doing now. It's obvious the sawmill is what we need to do, but we can't do that without evidence. I'm pretty sure this guy isn't going to help us.

Yeah...I thought maybe using a mix of the type of information we were given to get help from the church here and the concerning documents we found at the house and maybe something Shelyn-y from the dream, but it does feel like we both don't know enough or have enough evidence of what we do know to do anything.


Not gonna lie, you were way more interested in trying to talk to the judge normally than I expected you'd be. XD That's actually pretty well outside what the adventure considers.

That said, if there's anyone who's good at interpreting weird dreams, it's probably the local priests of your deity...
