The girl looks up and yelps, looking just as terrified of the half-orc as she is of whatever was chasing her. She backs up against the cauldron and points in the direction she came. "Giant wolves!"

If the creatures seem intent on killing, Mrachni will step in front of the closest one and swing at it with his sword. 5-foot step in front of it if it seems intent on killing/mauling, then attack.

Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Please, be more understanding than the bull, thinks Makvor as he readies his axe, just in case. As the wolves appear, he begins crooning and appearing as non-threatening as he can...of course, holding several pounds of axe in his hands doesn't seem to help.

Muffled by the thickness of the cauldron, it sounds as though a conversation is taking inside.

Perception 15:
The conversation sounds as though it is taking place between two slightly different voices.

"We could just stay in here where we would be safe."

"We are part of this team! We do not abandon our allies for personal safety!"

"But I like wolves and if I stay in here they can't hurt us and we can't hurt them."

"But our allies could be hurt and we would not be there to help them!"

"But we could all stay very quiet and the wolves could just pass by..."

"Remember the bull!?"

"What, no? ... Don't make me remember the bull!"

"Then get out there and use what skills you have to avoid conflict but be ready to defend aid our allies"

The gnome screams, "YES I'M SURE! OPEN NOW SO THAT I CAN TALK TO THESE WOLVES!"

Suprise Round action: Activating Speak with Animals
If the cauldron opens and he has time to get out then he will do that as well, if not then he will just attempt to be in a position to speak to the approaching wolves from within the cauldron.
