Round 8 HP 8/8
they needed the bard to show them how it was done?
I will moved to n9 after the collapse of the spider and crack the whip on the other, the one I already hit.
1d20 ⇒ 9 to hit
1d3 ⇒ 1
Also, I should be after Zat :)

Mrachni |

Round 8, revised: 11/11
Seeing Zatqualmie finish off the spider in front of him, Mrachni hurries south (remaining cautious, and stopping if he runs into any baddies) and hopes the hobgoblin was exaggerating about the humans there.
Double move along the path 60' to V18 (on this map).

Makvor |

Sorry for the delay - had a looong drive home.
Round 8 (Makvor) HP 10/10
Move: L6->M5
Attack:
Attack (Greataxe): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Critical Confirmation: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9...ah, well
Damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Round 8 (Spirit) HP 12/17, -2 Str, Entangled
If Makvor didn't just chop the spider into several pieces, Spirit will continue to attack.
Move: L7->M6
Attack:
Attack (-2 Str, entangled): 1d20 + 2 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 2 - 2 - 1 = 1

GM Poisonblade |

Fox -
Oglon -
Giggleman -
Zat - entangled
Quayon -
Makvor -
Spirit (entangled)
Spider 1 -dead
Green Kobold - running for the hills - his little horn laying on the ground.
Marchni
Spider 2 -dead
Giggleman - Taking a look at Oglon- rips off some of his clothes and binds his wounds - heal check (first aid) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18. He then drags him over to the fire (yes he has the strength).
Posting maps after I grap a bite. Not much has changed from last round, use the big one from earlier if you need one before I post in about an hour or so.

GM Poisonblade |

Posting a map is pointless. Giggleman will have bound up Fox, dragged him over, and leaves by the time anyone gets there even in running.
So lets just cut to the chase.
First aid Fox - 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
The party finds Fox and Oglon embracing eachother by their fire. Wounds bound with strips from there own clothes. Various small crossbow bolts laying around, some with blood some with out.

Zatqualmie Fire-Top |

After the last spider is dead, the gnome collapses in the webs that have entangled him. He appears as though he has fallen asleep for a brief moment until his eyes open wide and he starts screaming and struggling.
"SOMEONE HELP ME!!! I'M TRAPPED! I DON'T KNOW HOW I GOT HERE!!! HELP!! I'M STUCK IN THESE TERRIBLY STICKY ROPES!!!"
The gnome continues squirming and struggling until someone helps free him.
GM, will you let us know when a day has reset for things like rage and naturally healing hitpoints?
PCs, please let me know who, if anyone, helps him out of the webs. It'll help me for character development. Thanks.

Oglon |

Well, Lord Foxheart, it appears that we have some unknown protector in the night. Oglon peers into the darkness, wondering how his wounds were bound. I hope our mysterious protector returns soon, because I fear I cannot stay awake much longer...
Oglon fades into unconsciousness

GM Poisonblade |

Mrachni - you soon come upon the scene of Fox and Oglon in some sort of strange embrace.
A peaceful camp, but for the bloody bolts, wounds, and obvious carnage. These two fellows were quite obviously robbed.
Ten knowledge rolls to guess by what....oh you get it for free. It be goblins that done this, but why bind their wounds?

Mrachni |

Upon arriving at the other campsite, Mrachni casts cure light wounds on Fox/Oglon: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (sacrificing protection from evil) to do so. After the rest of the party arrives, he'll channel positive energy.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Well, snap. Sorry Fox... you're still negative until I can prepare spells again.

Makvor |

Makvor spends time freeing Spirit and Zatqualmie and gathers up any belongings left by the fire, if he can carry it all. He also notices the horn and picks it up as well. Then, encumbrance willing, he makes his way to the southern camp.

Mrachni |

Mrachni looks up at Quaylon's approach, then returns his attention to the wounded.
"Yes. Goblins. And I cannot help this one, iduk nakor hu k'kud." He seems extremely frustrated, motioning at Foxheart and breaking into Orcish at the end.
Sighing deeply, he sits down near the two humans and bows his head.

Zatqualmie Fire-Top |

Once Makvor releases the gnome, the gnome looks up at him wide eyed and says, "What happened? How did I end up trapped in all these sticky ropes?! Where is everyone else?"
The gnome assists Makvor in picking up the items around camp. He also grabs a makeshift torch and follows him south.

Makvor |

"You were entangled in the webs of that spider over there...or, rather, what's left of it. You killed it quite thoroughly. The others have gone to investigate the goblins' claims that there was another camp south of us. Do you really remember none of this?"

Quaylon |

I think we should set up here and look after these two, they may have information on what it is we need Quaylon then looks back in the direction they came from, if these two are at least stable, I will go and see about grabbing our gear and seeing if the others need help, send up a signal of some sort if trouble returns.

Zatqualmie Fire-Top |

The gnome looks blankly at Makvor, blinks a few times, and says, "Ummm... right...of course I do.
The gnome mumbles under his breath in gnomish:

Mrachni |

I think we should set up here and look after these two, they may have information on what it is we need Quaylon then looks back in the direction they came from, if these two are at least stable, I will go and see about grabbing our gear and seeing if the others need help, send up a signal of some sort if trouble returns.
Mrachni does not respond.

Mrachni |

Mrachni clenches his fists, and his thick shoulder muscles tense under the half-elf's hand. He speaks in an angry, impassioned voice which threatens to crack nearly every other word, and does not look up as he speaks. "There is no justice. I killed them... I killed so many — too many. I killed them. No justice... for justice I live, and yet by justice I should die."

Quaylon |

Mrachni |

Mrachni will spend an hour in prayer, then cast cure light wounds on Foxheart. Have I mentioned that I hate these dice? After that fails to rouse him, he'll channel energy (everyone gains these HP, though I think only Oglon is in need).
I really, really hate these dice. I've got one more casting of CLW for the day; how're we feeling about heading out with Oglon at 6 and Foxheart at 1? :P
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Mrachni |

In that case, Fox gets 9 back from the healing and 1 back from sleeping... then everyone gets 6 from the channel.
Mrachni prepares create water, spark, and detect magic as his orisons; obscuring mist will fill his remaining level 1 spell slot, and magic weapon his domain slot.
Mrachni addresses Foxheart and Oglon in the morning after both are mostly healed. "Where will you go? You should not stay in the wild."

Oglon |

"Many thanks to you and yours for your help. Do you know who was responsible for that ambush? They attacked us from the dark, I saw nothing before I was felled."
"I shall serve as Lord Foxhearts shield, while he searches for his lost one. But I believe that his shield remains in the woods, do any of you know where our attackers may be?"
After any further conversation, Oglon will perform his daily meditation, exercises and ablution. The meditation consists of approximately ten minutes of him sitting cross-legged with a crystal he removes from around his neck in his lap. Followed by a yoga/tai-chi sort of ritual lasting for about thirty minutes. And ending with him rummaging through his backpack, removing some small vials and anointing him self with fragrant oils.
"I am now ready to serve as necessary"

Mrachni |

"Goblins. If they have taken your things, justice must be done... but we cannot go with you now, and you would not be safe by yourselves, as you have seen. Go back to town. I will help you seek justice when the Swordmistress has granted the cure for this plague."

Makvor |

Link to two possibilities here, in the first article - I've heard both in various cartoons.
Makvor will keep his current spell list
"We are on a journey to find supplies needed by a healer in a village south of here. You can either leave the forest alone, or come with us while we conclude our task."

Quaylon |

Quaylon lets the conversation play out between his companions and the humans, looking at the monk most curiously. He then interjects, I am sorry, did you say Lord Foxheart?
Knowledge Nobility 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

Mrachni |

Mrachni stands at the edge of camp, watching the forest. When Oglon pronounces himself ready, Mrachni nods, looks around to make sure everyone else is ready, and sets off.
Barring arguments from anyone, I believe we're ready to continue toward the old part of the forest.

GM Poisonblade |

+1 Hero point for Mrachni - such a valiant attempt, That's Opera Doc is very special indeed.
But the win goes to Makvor - drilled it thank you - +1 hero point and the golf clap.
The bard as never heard of a Foxheart, at least of noble birth.
If your ready how do you proceed? So options are follow the trail. Head to the river.
Either way it is a Survival check - DC 15 to start off and not get lost.

Quaylon |

I have never heard of the Foxheart line, where is it you are from Quaylon says, to the one he presumes to be Lord Foxheart.
He then turns to his companion, perhaps they should join us, they may have information, or least know where to start. Where shall we go first? Perhaps the witch? or to old part of the woods?
Survival to assist with the map reading 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17

Foxheart the Noble |

"Not from around here that's for sure (he says smiling). I doubt you would hear such far off words about me and my family. But worry not about my nobility, for in these situations I am merely like you all. For i have taken to a life of adventuring, not the life of nobility that has been bestowed upon me. "
