You get the bolt out with that good of a heal check, even though you made not have wanted too. Disturbing the carcass releashes a vile gas. While it smells horrible its harmless.
Anybody can throw a Knowledge Engineering or a Craft Weapons or Craft Bow. DC 12
Quaylon
I could really go for some fowl right about now, but these berries and things will have to do for now Quaylon, states to Foxheartoh, and please do not allude to me being uncivilized again, simply because you come from people who have servants does not make you better.
Foxheart the Noble
"Its our status, not our servants. And even then our servants are paid appropriately. Despite what the commons spread, my family and surrounding nobles keep no slaves. As we have too much money for free workers"
"Commons" of course being a slur noblemen of his background would use to describe the non-noble people.
Quaylon
Quaylon whispers to Mrachni, though not too quietly:
He then states
I always knew that my upbringing was gift, though until this past couple days I never realized how great it was.
Makvor
Survival check to hunt for food
Survival: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Makvor and Spirit leave after camp is set. After a short while, Makvor returns with a small brace of rabbits and proceeds to clean and cook them. Spirit arrives some time later, licking the last drops of blood from his muzzle.
Mrachni
Mrachni grunts at Quaylon in amused agreement.
Fast-forwarding to morning...
Arriving at the Old Growth, Mrachni will begin searching for the oldest tree, or any elderwood mold.
I don't have Knowledge (Nature)... how about Perception or Survival?
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Survival: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Edit: Hmm, it seems to have saved that Perception roll from the post I deleted this morning (after realizing that I didn't have to roll Perception to hear Quaylon whispering to me). Not sure what to do about that... your call, GM. Here's another one, just in case: Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
GM Poisonblade
The dense trees and thick brush of the forest give way, parting seemingly in respect for the titanic darkwood tree that dominates this
clearing. Several times taller than a temple minaret, in one direction the obviously ancient tree reaches into the sky with branches like a
giant’s arms, while in the other it plumbs the earth with roots thicker than a man’s waist. Its limbs broad and strong, its bark thick and so richly colored as to almost be black, and its leaves the size of bucklers, the giant thing is less a tree and more a cathedral of boughs and branches.
I have to draw up the map on map tools or find one that works for the next encounter, it might be a few hours before I get it up
Mrachni Makvor ninja'd your Survival and seeing that you have been rolling utter BS I will let you keep all three as perception rolls.
Quaylon
Quaylon moves up to the tree and gently touches the bark, circling the tree he softly whispers to it
The ages you have seen, the stories you could tell if only you could talk
Mrachni
Mrachni also approaches the tree carefully, looking for anything that might be elderwood mold.
Hows about that 12 Perception for Quaylon's whisper, and the 27 for looking for mold on the tree, eh? :)
Makvor
Knowledge roll to know where (in a general sense) mold would grow in or around a tree this size
Knowledge (Nature): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Perception roll to find the mold there
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
GM Poisonblade
Up well, beyond the height of easy reach, you spy some odd colored mold. It's not growing on any of the other trees, and the herbalists in the group deem that this is certainly it. Looking around you see several odd looking logs, then one moves.
when I can I will post a map, my photo sharing isn't up right now.

Forest Elder
Surprise Round - will give you a perception to avoid being surprised. Having the map upload issue didn't help for a smooth transition here.
Fox Initiative 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 Perception 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Oglon 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Quaylon 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16 Perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
The Big green tree (trunk in o16) is the forest elder, and no this map doesn't do the description justice. The trail and around the tree is clear the brush gives cover and is difficult terrian.
Considering that the wyrms were taking 10 on their stealth and got 23, everyone is surprised.
I will work that out later today.
GM Poisonblade
Again from the top! (these are small tatzels)
Surprise Round - The area has several greenish looking logs laying about when suddenly one of the logs moves and rises into a large reptile, as green as the surrounding foliage and at least three feet in length. It has a dragon’s head, filled with sharp teeth, with a very feline torso and two arms ending in grasping claws. A cloud of greenish vapor wafts from its gaping maw.
Tatzelwyrm 1 - drops to the ground from 20 feet up. Acrobatics 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23, damage if failed 2d6 ⇒ (5, 4) = 9, he will finish up his turn by taking another move to Quaylon.
Tatzelwyrm 2 - slithers extremely quickly to Qaylon (charge-via nimble moves from his orignal squarre), and tries to take a bite out of bard - Bite 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14, Confirm 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 3, Grap 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18, Rake 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23, Confirm 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15, Damage 1d3 ⇒ 1
Tatzelwyrm 3 - drops to the ground but from 10 feet up. Acrobatics 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20, damage if failed 1d6 ⇒ 4. Then he finishes his turn by moveing up to Marchni.
Tatzelwrym 4 - nimble moves, and then has to double move to Fox.
Tatzelwrym 5 - nimble moves and has enough movement left in one to be able to move up to Zat and attack Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 6, Grap 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Tatzelwrym 6 - double moves to Spirit.
Tazelwrym 7 - double moves to Fox.
edit - their initiative 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Round 1, 16/16HP
The gnome, appearing startled by the worm-thing trying to attack him, blurts out:
WHY DO BAD THINGS HAPPEN EVERYWHERE I GO!
After the gnome's outburst, he swings with both spiked gauntlets at the tatzelwyrm in front of him.
Fullround Attack, TWF Spiked Gauntlets
Attack(On Hand Spiked Gauntlet(+2 per DM)): 1d20 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (16) - 1 + 2 = 17

Round 1: 11/11
Mrachni moves quickly to Quaylon's side, drawing his sword, and wordlessly swings at the wyrm closest to him.
5-foot step to N16, drawing sword as a move action, attacking wyrm in O15 (standard action).
Attack: 1d20 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 1 + 2 = 16
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 1 + 2 = 10
Makvor
I will pull out my sword and move back to 10I
You do realize that more than a 5' move is going to provoke attacks of opportunity, right? And that they can move and attack just as well as you?
Zatqualmie Fire-Top
The gnome catches Fox's cowardly withdrawal out of the corner of his eye.
Cowards are failures they said...
Those who won't stand up for themselves are weak...
The weak put the rest of us in danger...
We can't be hindered by the weak...
The weak will lead to the death of us all unless we eliminate them FIRST!
The gnome gets a glint of anger in his eyes as he stares at Fox.
Suddenly, Fox and Oglon hear the first words they have ever heard the gnome say other than muttered ramblings under his breath and his exclamation about bad things happening to him.
The gnome puts his hand on his greataxe and in a deep serious tone, different from anything else the gnome has ever said, he says, Cowardly Fox, you asked for my name days ago. IT IS EXATAERG!
If I don't see wyrm blood on your sword the next time I turn around then I will bathe myself in human blood as I carve my name upon your chest. My face coated in your blood will be the last thing you ever see!
The gnome turns back to the tatzelwyrm he is engaged with, releases his hand from his greataxe and appears to have lost the glint of anger in his eyes.
Oglon
Round 1 hp 9/9
Oglon will run up to the trunk of the old tree, K14(1)->L15(2-3)->M16(4)->N16(5-6), dodging nimbly behind Mrachni Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 2 = 17 and then scurry up the old tree as fast as he can, Climb at half-speed: 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 5 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 - 5 = 5 stopping when he can reach what was identified as the mold we seek.
Zatqualmie Fire-Top
The gnome sharply looks at Oglon as he runs from the fight and climbs the tree.
Two cowards!? No wonder they were left for dead. They were probably left for dead by the last group they abandoned in a fight.
He places his hand on his greataxe and says, in the same deep tone as before, "It looks like we picked up two cowards but one climbs trees. Who knew we picked up a cowardly fox and a scared cat!"
"Looks like I'll be covered in the blood of two human cowards before the day is through!"
The gnome seems to be twitching slightly during this statement as he glances between Fox and Oglon.

Initiative Update
Fox
Makvor
Spirit
Zat
Mrachni
Quaylon
Oglon
Tatzelwyrm's
Oglon - there is some issues with your move. First up Mrachni is in N16. Second if your going to tumble during any part of your movement you only move at half speed, unless you up the DC for the Acrobatic Check by 10. Also unless you have a climb speed you cannot tumble while climbing. Acrobatics. I will just say that you attempted to up the DC to do a full move, in this case 26 was the number you needed for that. Also you make no progress on the tree climb., DC 15.
Tatzelwyrm AoO on Oglon - Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 1, Grab 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Tazelwyrm AoO on Fox
4- Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 5, Grab 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
7- Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 3, Grab 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Map update and Tatzelwyrm turn, up next.
Oh and I need a Knowledge Nature or Arcane. Nature has a DC of 20 to know anything about these creatures. Arcane its just a 16 because they are dragons.
GM Poisonblade
Oglon looks like you get hit for 1 HP, Fox gets stuck for 3 HP
On a side note you must have been grabbed to take the rake damage. These guys can rake on a charge due to pounce. Also there should be more raking, but they are just little guys, so only one rake.
Tatzelwrym turn - their bellies devoid of any meat they press the attack.
1 - Attacks Quaylon Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 5, Grab 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6, Rake 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10, Damage 1d3 ⇒ 1
2 - Slithers past Quaylon to m15 - generating an attack, but I am not sure Quaylon had a weapon out - and bites with flanking Bite 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 2 = 12, Confirm 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 2 = 26, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 3, Grab 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 + 2 = 24, Rake 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10, Damage 1d3 ⇒ 2
3 - Confused by all the movement around it makes a snap choice on whom to attack - Marchni = 1, Oglon = 2 1d2 ⇒ 1 Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 2, Grab 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5, Rake 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19, Damage 1d3 ⇒ 3
4 - Moves to j7 then onto i9 and attacks Fox - Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 6, Grab 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12, Rake 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5, Damage 1d3 ⇒ 1
5 -7/19- Attacks savagely at Zat Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 3, Grab 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5, Rake 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21, Damage 1d3 ⇒ 2
6 -17/19- Shifts over to g16 and attacks Spirit Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5, Confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 1, Grab 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8, Rake 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22, Damage 1d3 ⇒ 3
7 - Moves to i11 via i12 and attacks Fox with flanking Bite 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 = 13, Confirm 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 = 24, Damage 1d6 ⇒ 1, Grab 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 2 = 23, Rake 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 2 = 22, Damage 1d3 ⇒ 2
Looks like the end of it here is Quaylon takes 5 HP and Fox takes another 1 HP, no grabs.
