How many mushes can Bedlam splash-blast?: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Bedlam's bomb smacks the nearest mushroom right on its cap. The blast reverberates outward from the source. The room shudders slightly at the impact, causing rivulets of dirt to cascade down from the ceiling:

BEFORE the above rolls take place, Bedlam takes AOOs from four of the mushrooms who are within range:

Tragershen |
Hmm. The dwarf seems immune to them, but they may be dangerous to the less hardy of us... Not being sure how tough or dangerous these things are, Tragershen watches for a few moments. He decides that there are too many to force the warriors to attack at once, so he acts. He dips a finger into his pouch and brings out a minuscule white ball stuck to the tip of his index finger. He flicks it out with an arcane syllable and the passageway blossoms with huge strands of webbing.
Casting web. I'm trying to place it to entangle the fungi's front line and restrict the further away ones from coming up easily. DC 16 reflex save for them.
Aurora Fallowarc |
A pulse of white energy crackled with black briefly flares through the room as Aurora invokes a prayer.
Prayer — Aurora and all of her allies in a 40ft. radius burst gain a +1 luck bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saves, and skill checks, while each of their foes takes a -1 penalty on such rolls. 6 round duration.
She then retrieves her crossbow.
GM Parrot |
Tragershen's Web cooks off among the mushrooms just as Aurora's Prayer envelops the crew. The Web fills the entire half of the room not facing the party, triggering a series of shriekers that fill the underground caverns with baleful wailing. The Webbing also pops a lot of Yellow Mold, the poison of which is now dusting the webs yellow.

Something happens somewhere.
The front line of mushrooms unleashes its tentacles upon the party rather than push against the webs and goops:
1anz 2bed 3tal: 1d3 ⇒ 31d3 ⇒ 11d3 ⇒ 2
Each selects a combatant for a full attack!
The first web-grappled mush goes after Talathel:
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 111d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 201d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 91d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 201d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Talathel is saved by the grace of Nethys aka by the DM remembering that Prayer is a debuff as well as a buff.
The entangled AND grappled AND Prayer'd mushroom throws its tentacles halfheartedly in Anzath's direction:
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 = 41d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Tentacle and Threat: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 = 191d20 + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 = 101d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 = 71d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (13) + 4 - 2 - 2 - 1 = 121d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Sheer luck means one gets through!
Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 91d4 ⇒ 31d4 ⇒ 2
Check my work, please! Probably:
Anz takes 3 Strength and 2 Constitution damage.
The last tries for Bedlam, so let's see how that goes:
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 31d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 191d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 201d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 111d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Nothing, as usual.
Ippolit, peering into the darkness and muttering about how he should have bought an Ioun Torch, draws and lights a mundane one.
The next mush, entangled, tries to slash its foe:
d3 as above: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 161d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 81d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 51d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Tentacle: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 2 - 1 = 191d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Bedlam is pummeled by ineffective tentacles. The thumpings on his armor has a nice massaging effect.

If I'm understanding how scent and sneak attack interact, I think Mone knows the room is now full of goblins, but this does not mean Mone is immune to their sneak attacks. Does that sound right? I want to be sure because it's pretty dangerous to be caught off guard by a troop of goblin rogue archers (vide Ippolit).
Bedlam Bottomland |
GM Parrot |
Only Mone is, so far! Unless Ippolit screamed, I guess. Adelie reminded me about Mone's readied action on our backchannel, so that's what'll happen for now! By the way, the part that has me tripped up is the line in Stealth that says "Being Observed: If people are observing you using any of their senses (but typically sight), you can’t use Stealth. "
Mone may not be able to see any goblins, but her Scent notifies her of the presence of goblin stench. Being a big brave guard dog, tensed and ready to dodge out of danger, she flees the unknown foe and places herself behind Adelie.
At that point, the gobs shoot down Ippolit.
Does Ippolit scream? 1 no 2 yes: 1d2 ⇒ 1

Mone and Adelie have Bonded Mind, and so as soon as Mone is able (I do not know if that is right now or on her turn), she notifies Adelie of her discovery.
Goblin! Goblin goblin goblin. I smell a goblin!! There’s a goblin somewhere.
I don’t know if using Message is a free action, a swift action, a move action, or something else. Bonded Mind functions as Message, except there is no need to whisper or point and messages passed using Bonded Mind cannot be overheard.
Talathel Rhuiren |
@Parrot: To confirm, all the mushrooms are dead and the non-canine party members can't currently see any of the goblins?
GM Parrot |
Seven mushrooms remain. Many are damaged and prone in the space cleared out by the Burning Hands spell that was subsequently Iced. Two are still in the Web. The goblins are not visible, but Mone and Adelie know they are behind you somewhere within sniffing range and have communicated that fact to the party.
