            Talwin picks up his spear and sheathes it on his back. With a dagger in one hand, he moves to the first lever and pushes (or pulls) it. If nothing happens he will try the next, and so on. He will proceed through every iteration in order if need be until the gate opens.
(i.e. UP, UP, UP, UP; Up, Up Up, Down; ad nauseum)

            The group's plan commences, with Talwin moving back and forth, flipping levers in his predetermined pattern. Norine senses the imps magic in the area, but her detection is for naught as it appears, stabbing at Talwin.

Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
The little bugger's barbed tail punches through Talwin's armor, and he feels a oddly cool sensation when it does, but his internal defenses fight off the toxin. The imps frustration grows when Ebon's sword cleaves into him. It seems like the cowardly devil wants to flee, but it is compelled to stay and fight.

Targost's arrow glances off the tiny creature, leaving a trail of it's blackish blood dribbling from a second wound.
Kills it so we can move on!

            Talwin grits his teeth angrily and slashes at the pesky creature.

            Like a hot knife through devilish butter, Talwin’s mithril blade finishes what Ebon’s blade started, and with a pop, the fiend vanishes back to his home plane, leaving behind only a faint scent of brimstone and sulfur. The group quickly shuffles through the number of possible options available to them, and once all the levers are down, a click is heard from within the wall, and the portcullis slowly rises.

Not sure if the stat lines are accurate, but Norine will channel energy, healing the group all once for cheap (6/8 channels remaining).
Norine will look for a master or reset switch on the other side of the portcullis.
Presumably, there would be one so the system could be closed behind you and opened back up again.

            Norine easily finds the master switch and sets it to remain open before the group proceeds. Beyond the portcullis is a spiral staircase downward that leads to a long hallway that stretches east and west. The walls of the hall contain deep notches and cuts at 5’ intervals , and skeletal remains litter the floor, and among them rests the recently slain corpse of the man you had been chasing, his arms torn off and several feet from his body.
Warily creeping along, a bolt zips from the darkness outside of your lights vision range, aimed at Talwin, who nobly chose to lead through this narrow corridor.
Surprise Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 171d10 + 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (8) + (4, 2) + 1 = 15
Catching the inquisitor flatfooting, he doesn't have time to leap to the side, and catchs the shaft squarely in the chest. The sound of cranking can be heard in the darkness beyond.
Anyone with lowlight or better vision can see the shooter farther down the corridor. Humans are limited to 30' vision.

            Talwin gasps in pain as the crossbow bolt slams into his chest. He moves down the hallway (30') while casting a spell on himself.

Talwin heres a click as he finishes walking, and a massive axe scythes down, disrupting his spell and sending the inquisitor crumpling to the ground. The fearsome blade continues to swing like a pendulum threatening any who pass by.
Talwin's spell does not go off as he moves then casts, based on the order in his post, and he is now at -5 and dying.

            Yeah, the torn apart bit was a good clue, though it is hard to tell what to do when you are being sniped, too.

Norine summons the power of her god, then drops prone with her crossbow.
Since you can use a crossbow fine prone, and that would get her out of the way.

Dropping his sword he grabs his bow and casts light on the arrow he nocks. Making himself a target, for a moment or two anyway.
" Ware the trap Alexia!"

            Perhaps my lack of an init confused you, Alexia, but we are still in combat rounds, so on your action, you had to double move to work your way up to Talwin and drag him out from under the pendulum blades. Those CLW have not gone off yet.
Liadain does likewise, drawing forth her ranged weaponry. In the distance, the man finishes cranking his crossbow and ducks out of sight behind the wall.
Rolls: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
PC's are up, Talwin is concious after the channel, albeit barely.

            Sorry about my lack of posts lately. Life is being blegh for a variety of personal reasons and I'm busy with uni.

In her hurry to draw her bow, Liadain manages to drop half the arrows from her quiver on the ground. She heaves a heavy sigh and moves to gather them all up again, and by the time she's done, the bastard has moved away...
"I am going to enjoy kicking that jerk in the face," she grumbles, nevertheless knocking another arrow to her bowstring. Lia carefully moves forward, looking for any signs of more danger awaiting them in the hallway. It's kind of hard to concentrate when she's being irritated, though!

            Standing over Talwin, Alexia discharges her wand of healing, mending some more of the fallen inquisitors wounds. Take Alexia's first CLW roll above.
The crossbowman leans out from behind the wall to fire off a quick shot, but Norine is ready, sending a tiny bolt into his shoulder. With Alexia in front after mending Talwin, she's the target he sees, and he unloads on the witch.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 251d10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Flying between the slicing blades, the bolt slams hard into the white haired woman, nearly felling her in one shot. The shooter ducks back around the corner, the cranking of a loading winch signifying that he is not going away so easily.

            Taking a running jump, Liadain lands with a skid on the opposite side of Talwin, wary that she would activate another trap down in the corridor.
Moving 10 feet to the square before Talwin and then jumping over his square...

...10 feet. So that puts me just to the left of the red box on the map.
She keeps her bow raised, the arrow occasionally crackling with electrical energy, ready for the re-emergence of the runaway sniper.

            Seeing Liadain rush ahead, Ebon flushes crimson in shame...

Gripping his bow in one hand and his sword in the other, he moves up. Roughly 10 feet from Talwin he stops and tries to clear Norine's line of site.
" Ware Liadain, I'm coming through momentarily...."
He tenses ready for the bard to move.
" You hear that, foeman? Ebon Kai is coming for YOU!"

            And I healed myself while remaining prone. Was waiting to see who moved where and what bad guy did before I stood up.

            Targost fires his arrow, planting it next to Ebons to illuminate the distant stairwell. Talwin remains prone and feigning death, not wanting to draw too much attention to himself.
The sniper leans out to take a snapshot at Liadain, barely ducking as her arrow ricochets of the edge of the wall next to him.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 141d10 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
And in his haste to avoid being struck with the electrified arrow, sends his quarrel skipping down the corridor.
No damage all around, PC's up again!

He shouts, clearing 20 feet of space in a prodigious leap.
