Don't forget the Bless buff Norine nearly died to cast. Even with that hit, it clangs off the DR.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe Acid dart has only a 30' range, and you are a bit beyond that.

Yup...you are very much correct...not that I could have hit here with that roll anyway...I guess I will start coating arrows for others to shoot...and retain my magic missiles and such for later.

Targost joins the others coating the arrows.

I had moved him a full (X4) run around the corner. Then I posted his action of double moving up to Norine to help. You said I jumped the gun, and was a round ahead. forgot to move him back around the corner. He will double move back when its his turn again.

Torvic shot: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 71d8 ⇒ 2

Torvic fires at the distant woman, grumbling as the shot sails very wide, "Damn wind." He then reloads the weapon, determined to do better next time. Ebon dashes out of sight of the illuminated priestess and he finds his senses return to him.

She sees what Calanthe is organizing and hisses angrily, knowing full well the downward spiral that may happen if she is hit with silver. Loosing her arrow, it strikes the witch in the shoulder, spinning her slightly from the force of the blow.

Attack Calanthe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 211d8 ⇒ 3

Calanthe takes 3. Ebon is no longer panicked, and PC's are up!

Calanthe lets out a squeaking cry of pain as the arrow strikes her in the shoulder, luckily not too deep that it can't be immediately pulled out and ignored (for now). Assuming someone passes her a flint and steel (maybe Targost grabbed it last turn), she'll begin lighting a fire using anything and everything potentially flammable within reach.

"Targost - pour the blanch over the arrows," she breathes, fumbling with the flint and steel.

The rules say starting a fire takes "at least" a full round action. I'll let you decide how long it takes for us to get a fire going.

Also Mez, note that Calanthe is likely to be effectively prone (she's on the ground trying to light a fire) so that's a +4 bonus to AC against ranged attacks.

Adrenaline fueling her, it takes Calanthe Time: 1d2 ⇒ 1 full rounds to get the fire lit.

Actually... for anyone using a crossbow, it's basically no penalty to be on the ground and get a bonus +4 AC against her attacks.

Calanthe looks at Brandon and Torvic, cogs ticking even while she desperately tried to get a few scraps of her journal to light. "Psst! You two! Get on the ground! Make yourself a smaller target!"

I am going to assume Targost and Norine continue to assist with the blanching of arrows.

Seeing everyone taunting the nightmare woman forward, Torvic delays his shot, planning to fire when everyone else does.

She laughs at the words shouted out by the party, completely unphased by their taunts. "Very well. If you want me to approach, so be it." She lands and walks forward, her dark aura pulsing as it connects with the entire party save Targost.

Fears manifesting, Calanthe, Norine, and Todric all turn to flee the woman. Yeah, shadow walk seems an impervious method of escape. I don't really know what the limits are. Can it go through solid objects?

"Let's finish blanching the arrows: she could be back at any moment, especially if she has any healing," Norine says matter-of-factly, trying to steady her breath.

With a start, Norine thinks about the places that the evil witch may be going: "We may need to find somewhere safer - less known - for her rescued victims. Perhaps the temple to Torag?"

The witch-queen's last words echo in Norine's head and she wonders, She may be able to escape at will, but will there be any escape for us who dream?

Another, even grimmer thought comes to mind and finds voice as Norine looks around at the drunk or drunk mite and derro revelers, "Should we ... deny the queen her servants?'
