Crap! You reminded us about that. I just thought from your description that we could all see her/it. Can I save that roll for when I get close enough?? Pretty please?

Hmmm... Do I penalize you for not listening to my directions, of be a kind and benevolent GM who takes pity on his confused player.... We'll just have to wait and see! :)

Seeing everyone casting spells in preparation for combat, blackness pulses out of the Lamashtu priest as she pulls out a bow and rises higher into the air. "Very well, you shall make fine experiments." As the dark pulse expands from her, those Derro and Mites touched have a variety of effects. Some flee in sheer terror, others fall on the ground, prostrating themselves to their Lady, and still others collapse into frothing seizures.

if you pass through either circle on the map, please make a will save. If you pass through both, make 2 :D

PC's are up. We ARE in initiative rounds at this time. Norine cast both her Prot from Evils, Targost only cast Gravity bow.

They appear to be variations on a similar effect. Both appear to be fear/terror related.

Everyone will be 5% less likely to make this potentially long encounter even longer! I do hope everyone rolls well, apparently many fights with this chicky have gone well over 20+ rounds, and in PBP, that would be rough.

Oh dear god. That sounds horrifying.

At least she has good taste in avatar selection... ahem.

I thought you'd appreciate that choice, it was one of the first things I thought of when I read her description. That and a weird play on Galadriel from the LoTR movies when she gets all ethereal and speaks in her creepy voice.

Both actually. Since this will speed things along. AC: 21, DR, flight, and regeneration. She's crap on damage, but she's a tank and a half!

Ebon charges through the first effect, his mind only partially clouded with visions that leave his desire to fight shaken. When he hits the second, those visions flare again that cause the mighty Shoanti to panic. He looses hold of his weapon and turns to flee in sheer terror over the visions in his mind.

First effect leaves you shaken on successful save, second one fails after the protection +2 because of the -2 for being shaken. Ebon is panicked. He drops anything in his hands and on his next round, must flee as far as he can from the NPC.

Especially with dropping the weapons, which are now go to be really hard to retrieve, Negative Norine doesn't think this fight is winnable.

The dark priestess screeches with glee as her fear effects turn the mighty Ebon into a panicked monkeyphobe. "One cleric has fallen to the FEAR of nightmares. Shall we see if Desna truly protects her chosen?" she asks as she launches an arrow from her bow. Calanthe gasps as, apparently simultaneously, Ebon flees the room and Norine is dropped to within an inch of her life. Crap on a stick!

I really am sorry for the insanity that is my dice this game.

With the Ebon's light spell illuminating the priestess more, Todric can begin sorting through his vast collection of memories to try and determine what she is. While nothing fits this creature perfectly, he'd wager that it is an elf from the plane of nightmares. Her nightmarish abilities include two different fear auras, the ability to invade peoples dreams and manipulate them to her whims, innate defenses against goodly creatures, damage reduction to everything but goodly aligned weapons and silver, regeneration, the ability to fly slowly, the ability to imbue her spells with that of nightmares, causing them to be unusually potent, the ability to feign death, and also shadow walk away from danger if threatened.

Torvic finally comes to his senses after cowering in terror at the memories the flooded through him at the vision of the white lady. Looking to Targost, he comments, "Lad, ye might want to stick to magics on this one. Anyone got a crossbow or bow I kin use to aide ye? With her flyin, I canna reach her with me axe."

Tod shares what he can with the group.

"This creature is some kind of extra-planar elf. Like a living nightmare. She can invade people's dreams. She's tough too. Good-aligned weapons or silver would be be best. Torvic's right - magic is better than normal weapons too. We all see that she can fly, but she can feign death and shadow walk if she needs to get away quickly. Her wounds also heal unusually fast."

Very true. Her damage capability is just icing on the pessimism, though.

+4 to hit and 1d8 damage is not what I would call a high damage threat. Fluke Crit with near max damage apparently does happen, but her damage potential is very low for a solo BBEG. It's not like she's a magus on top of everything.

PC's are up. Ebon, you must still flee until she is out of LOS.

I did some digging, and they foolishly incorporated her Prot from Good bonus into her base stats. Now, only Brandon is Neutral, but it does mean he has a "slightly" easier time of things. There is a single line on a second page that says her reduced AC line if PC is non-good. GG writers :p

Also, if I hadn't GMPC'd Brandon, that would have been another hit on any PC. I see these tactics you're using, lol.
