On my phone so I cannot access map and I never moved my PC. Not mad at anyone, o thought you may have moved me so that's why I was confused lol. I would simply stand behind Moadis and attack the snake from the NW :)

GM Harker wrote:I don't believe you can diagonally move around a hard corner, so you would have to move into the square above Moadis first.I have never heard about that rule, are you sure GM?
Nvm, you are right. Just found it on the rules. Sorry.

GM Harker |

@Moadis, not a problem. I'm happy to explain any rules call I make that seem strange, it keeps things fair to all of you and keeps me brushed up on the rules.
@Valik, I'm just glad we got the confusion sorted. I adjusted the map according to your wishes.
Valik moves forward and strikes the snake with his sansetsukon, perhaps breaking one of its many ribs.

I'll delay. I can't do anything effective from here, and if I move up I'll be blocking everyone else. If I double-move out of the way, I'll provoke at least one AoO.

Moved you on the map, Halkale.
Quiella moves up behind Valik and uses Detect Evil on the Tieflings, then shares the results with Moadis.

GM Harker |

Halkale identifies the serpent as merely a venomous snake of unusual size. The only thing special about it is its poisonous fangs.
With the cramped conditions in the room, Ophelia waits for a good opening. Those same conditions makes it difficult for Halkale to aim his bow properly, resulting in a missed shot.
Quiella concentrates on the Tieflings, discovering that are both faintly evil.
Melufiuos is up, then the Tieflings.

Melufiuos tumbles past the snake to place himself in a better spot for the fight, drawing his weapon as he moves.

GM Harker |

Moadis swings his hammer at one of the tieflings, but the flesh sculptor sidesteps the weapon.
The venomous snake turns it's attention to the person that hurt it, Valik. Lashing out at the monk with it's dagger-like fangs, it's unable to overcome Valik's defensive posture.

Ophelia moves closer, but finds herself unable to get around the corner due to the blocks caused by her allies.
Same problem as before. Same response. If someone yells out for aid, I'll bust out a channel.

GM Harker |

Distracted by enemies on three sides, Melufiuos has difficulty hitting with is rapier or defensively casting a spell. The tiefling just barely dodges the weapon, and Melufiuos cannot properly finish casting Acid Splash.
The small passages and rooms continue to confound Ophelia's attempt to move into the fray, but she waits for an opening.
Halkale drops his bow and takes care of business with his greatsword, slaying the wounded snake with a decisive blow.
"Nooooo, not Bebe! I'll make you suffer for that!" Threatens the tiefling north of Melufiuos.
Quiella

Quiella steps up and lashes out with her scimitar, easily penetrating the tiefling's armor and hitting vital organs. He instantly falls to the ground, dying.

Yes, you can move into melee range, Halkale.
The combined attacks of Moadis, Valik, and Quiella all unfortunately miss.
Melufiuos strikes with his rapier and casts Acid Splash on the remaining enemy. As the elf begins the spell, he leaves himself open and the tiefling gives him a minor wound from his shortsword. Despite the pain, Melufiuos does not lose his concentration. 2 Damage to Melufiuos

Since I want to make sure we get this finished by November 1st, I'm going to start moving us a bit quicker. To this end, I'm botting Ophelia this round.
Ophelia moves closer to the fray, but opts not to potentially waste a crossbow bolt on a tough shot.
Looking extremely close to death, but with escape a near impossibility, the remaining foe lashes out vindictively at Valik with his shortsword. The attack falls far short from hitting the monk, and the tiefling collapses from his wounds.
Combat Over
Shortsword: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Examining the room after the battle, you find a number of surgical tools the tieflings were using worth approximately 200 gp. Appraise for an exact figure. There are also whips and scourges mixed in with the tools if you're into that sort of thing.
The tieflings themselves only possess mundane combat gear (2 sets of studded leather armor, shortswords, light crossbow with bolts).
The three bodies lying facedown on the cots are indeed still alive, but unconscious. In each of their backs are sihedron runes carved into them in various states of completion. Around each of their necks are the same silver religious symbol which you surmise is probably that of the goddess Lissala. Knowledge (religion) to verify this.

Heal, aid another, untrained: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (11) - 1 = 10

GM Harker |

Lissala worship is rare enough that the DC is higher than 10, I'm afraid.
Taking a closer look at the cuts on their backs, the wounds do not appear to be any serious health risk to those individuals. Undoubtedly, the cuts will leave a scar, but it seems the tieflings took great pains to just do that. The unconscious people themselves appear to be in a state of both pain and ecstasy.
Regardless, if you wish to bandage them, it might cut down on some of the scarring.
Once you're finished with this room, let me know where you want to go next.

After all are slightly bandaged, Valik will as silently as possible leave the room and head south to the next intersection and see what he can.

Not seeing any immediate threats, Valik, quietly moves beyond the intersection to the door and see if he can hear anything behind it.
stealth: 10 + 6 = 16

So, I see a curtain, beyond the curtain down the hallway as he point south.
Should we go through the curtain or down the long hallway, as he whispers to the group.
Once there is a general agreement on which path to take, Valik will head that way. If down the eastern hall, stealth = 16 & perception = 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14. If headed south into curtain room, then he will head to black circle and listen beyond again for 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

I prefer the south way.

After the combat is over Moadis makes sure both attacking tieflings are alive and tends their wounds. The giant snake pet is not so lucky winning a beheading before moving out. Help me keep these fools alive. We need them to pass forward our message.

Can we just say Ophelia casted the 0 lvl spell "stabilize" on both of them?
In the corridor Moadis whispers and readies his polearm.
Curtain.

GM Harker |

Entering the south room, Valik finds no signs of danger.
This wide room contains several bunk beds and chests, each embossed with a different rune. A heavy iron pipe runs the length of the south wall of this room at about four feet from the ground, disappearing into the eastern and western walls. A pungent smell issues from an alcove to the east, which is obscured with another black curtain.
There are a total of 30 beds all together, and 15 chests.

GM Harker |

While the others are carefully moving forward, Moadis stays behind to stop the tieflings from dying on the floor, who will probably remember how the Aspis Consortium attacked them. Ophelia doesn't have Stabilize memorized, but I'm fine with just saying Moadis stabilizes them eventually before they die.
Once finished, he joins the others in the bunkroom.

Entering the room Moadis looks around.
I suppose larceny would help a great deal in souring their business relationship with the Aspis Consortium. The paladin says disgusted while pointing at the chests. We can donate the stuff to the church afterwards. May the lady forgive me.

Knowledge (religion) on the holy symbols: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13 I'm going to guess that probably isn't enough, either.
Following Moadis, Ophelia nods in agreement. "Perhaps we could go so far as to 'forget' one of our badges," she mutters.
