"I will make a purchassse.", Sritaro pointing to two vials of antiplague. "Although a name or a location while you get the vialsss would be beneficial."
Spending 100gp for 2x antiplague
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11 Plus anything for making a purchase? :)
Bah

![]() |

"I'll buy some vermin repellent if you got any left. Are you sure you don't remember anything else about that Varisian guy?"
Diplomacy aid Sritaro: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17

GMG |

"I don't ga aroun' asking customers names. Guy was human, brown hear, smooth face. I got other things to do, thanks for the purchases"
You don't recognize the description of the man and figure that you may learn more at other locations

GMG |

Can I get another round of Diplomacy / Knowledge (Local) checks? Any particular merchant you want to question?

![]() |

Oleander continues to ask around in general.
know(local): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
If there are any merchants who deal with things from the swap (peat merchants maybe?) she'll concentrate on them.

![]() |

As before, everyone benefits from enhanced diplomacy.
Nemesis chooses to question any luxury good dealers they see, reasoning they'll have been particularly hard-hit by the blockade.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
An 'aid' looks like it would be useful here.

![]() |

Sometimes, silence is a good thing. Especially when you're a beefy lizardman-esque person with a man-sized dinosaur following you. Sritaro wisely lets the others handle the more diplomatic ventures, waiting until a bit of 'oomph' is needed in a conversation.

GMG |

Time spend: 1d6 ⇒ 6
It is now 21:00 / 9 PM
Apparently the market goes on day and night, or is that just the pesh merchant you located? You are pointed to a human called Gilligam, who is a purveyor of contraband substances of all kinds. Gilligam is a tall, obese man with a scraggly red chin-beard.
You ask him where he gets his supplies on which he replies
"I knew this was going to come back to bite me! You’re here to break my legs or something, right? Well you don’t have to—I’ll tell you everything! Just don’t hurt me! I used to buy from Guaril Karela; now I buy from whoever is stealing from Karela. Hey, what’s it matter to me? When I meet them, it’s always on the north end of town, so I figure they must have a hideout up north somewhere. Please, that’s all I know!”

![]() |

Oleander looks with disgust at the pesh merchant, seriously contemplating breaking his legs.
"Thankyou." she says stiffly.
Then turning to her companions notes "While I need little sleep, I'm not so sure about the rest of you. Do we try and find this hideout by night, or do you wish to rest first?"
I'm having shades of ice flashbacks! Walking through a town going from one person to the next and taking 1d6 hours to do each. I just hope that there is no prestige at stake on the roll of a dice on this one.

![]() |

"I can see in the dark, but I don't know about the rest of you. We might be better off sleeping now, getting up early and hitting the last two sources of rumors, then checking out the north side. The more intelligence we can gather, the better off we'll be." Silas offers, punctuating his opinion with a shrug.

![]() |

"Let'sss do a quick search for this warehouse. It may be easssier to look around at night if we find it."

GMG |

Oleander, the above check is not versus humans
Second prestige point does not depend on the time you spend here

GMG |

I had already removed my post which said you could roll one, not both. I thought a bit about it and decided there is no ground to disallow anyone to roll both. In other words: go for it and roll both.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Kamu Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Nothing on my end.

![]() |

Well, you see what happens if I'd been operating on your initial ruling and chosen to make only one roll with my better modifier....

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
"The warehouse works for me." The half-orc agrees, oblivious to any potential nearby danger.

![]() |

perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
sense motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Not noticing anything, Oleander nods at the warehouse suggestion.

![]() |

Nemesis suddenly interposes herself between Quinray and the Halfling who'd been coming toward him.
"Excuse me, what were you intending to do with that knife? Because if you wanted to sell it to us, thank you...but we have several better ones."
orison-augmented Intimidate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

GMG |

The halfling quickly removes his hand from his knife
Sleight of Hand: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
He bows with a flourish "Forgive me, I thought I saw a person in your group who is wanted for giving information to the Molthuni. Now that I am closer I see that I was mistaken. I will take my leave from you"
Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
The halfling turns around and starts moving away

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Paranoia will snuff us all out if we let it, Nemesis thinks.

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Sense Motive: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Watching the halfling walk away, Quinray turns to the others he says "He's lying about something. Keep an eye on him."

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 SM: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
More later, but Sritaro points out the tucked sack that was in the left hand of the halfling.

![]() |

perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
sense motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
"Not so fast!" says Oleander.
"First, return that purse. And then I think we might want to have a talk with you about your contacts and getting stuff in and out of town.."

GMG |

"Here is your purse!" the halfling shouts and throws the purse at Oleander. Coins fly everywhere, it is obvious that the purse was not tied close.
The halfling then tries to make his escape through the crowds
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
If you beat the acrobatics check you can try to grab him at his collar, otherwise he has disappeared in the crowd. The grab attempt is a normal grapple (CMB) check.

![]() |

Oleander tries to grab the halfing.
CMB: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Close, so close, if only someone else can help cut him off.
Two aid anothers would get us there...

![]() |

aid CMB: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Nemesis steps up and holds out her shield, covering as wide a space as she can.

![]() |

I don't think this is aidable roll, unless the GM says otherwise.
-Posted with Wayfinder

![]() |

You can aid-another in combat. Whether this particular encounter allows it I don't know, but on the surface it would certainly seem acceptable to have a group of people try to cooperate together to round up a cut-purse.

![]() |

Yeah, it's not really a combat check, just basically a grapple check in response to something. I have my opinion, but it's up to the GM. Although at least we have a success if aiding is ok :)

GMG |

Silas manages to grab the halfling at his collar, aided by Nemesis.
Remember that aid another works on the next attempt. With PbP timing is weird, however I do not allow the mathematical "I will aid" when the previous person who attempted the check needs +2.
Sritaro towers over the halfling and he quickly spills that he was trying to set you up with some Molthuni coins, to paint you as traitors. He explains that he used to work for the church of Razmir, but was recently referred to and hired by a towering woman with black and white hair.

![]() |

"Where might we find this woman? And where were you going to go for your payment?" asks Oleander.

GMG |

"If I knew where to find her I would have offered to sell you that info, unfortunately I don't have it. As for payment, there is this dead-drop we agreed upon just out of town."
While you are discussing things with the halfling a patrol of the militia comes towards you "What is happening here?"
