Fiend series | Shackles

OOC stuff on Knowledges:
Feel free to use your knowledge IC how you see fit. When you make the DC to recognize them you know one ability of the creature. For every 5 above you know another one.
I do not mind if you search for the creature on the PRD as long as you make the distinction between IC and OOC knowledge. That way we keep the back and forth of a PBP to a minimum.

Examples what I call an ability: weakest save, one special attack, CMD, elemental resistance, DR and so on.

So to answer your question: yes you know and yes you can say this. Unfortunately holding your breath is not possible to avoid the stench (the rules on suffocation explicitly say: "A character who has no air to breathe...". There is plenty of air here, it is just very foul air.

Sigríðr moves forward while casting a spell. Girzog readies his bow and fires a shot at the nearest troglodyte. The arrow scatters harmlessly of the big bowl that is covering the troglodyte.

The Pathfinders have allied with a group of Azlanti Rebels! They're joining up with Pathfinders as they make their way into the Serpentfolk Temple!

Each table now counts as one subtier higher for the purpose of calculating what benefits they get from Aid Tokens. Subtier 10-11 tables increase the Aid Another bonus to +5, the Allied Offensive option deals 4d8 points of damage, and Burst of Healing heals 6d6 points of damage.

It is obvious why Dekion styles himself as "The Defender" when all attacks miss.

Knowing there is nothing he can do as he fends off the attacks from the one in front of him, he is relieved when he just hears the lizardman's claws scrapping against his armor. "Money well spent," he thinks to himself.

Hearing Kiddrik move up and attack the one behind him, Dekion quickly spins around, hoping to catch the creature unprepared for his attack.

The Pathfinders have worked their way through the Temple Interior, and have discovered that the serpentfolk are performing some kind of ritual in a basement level called the Ophidian Rectory. Perhaps if you rush there you can learn all about the serpentfolk's ancient sacrificial techniques.

Oh, also potential save some people. That could be important too.

The Temple Interior is now claimed and the Ophidian Rectory is now discovered! Can we stop the ritual in time? The map is now updated with both the district unlock and the recent aid token transfers. Remember, you still count as one subtier higher for the purpose of your aid token benefits!

Sigríðr moves around the greenish troglodyte. It attacks her with its bite and misses. The dwarf gets distracted enough that her own attack misses.

Vash and Milly use the fighting between the greenish troglodyte and Sigríðr to puncture it with the lance! The creature drops down... Belvica attacks the blueish creature and scores a solid hit while Girzog is testing its defenses, drawing blood while he does so. The monster is getting tired of dwarven armor and attacks the Tengu. It shows the bird what a true claw attack feels like.

Once the Pathfinders defeat the troglodytes you can attempt to interview the slaves about the less glamorous aspects of serpentfolk society. Understanding Draconic the slaves find that with a few crude words and pantomimes they are able to communicate crudely as they also ask for aid in return.

With Aska on-hand to hep out, Kiddrik auto-passes the Diplomacy DC’s to both learn about Serpentfolk society and assist in freeing/healing them. So we should have both of those taken care of without rolls.

Kiddrik gives the team an encouraging thumbs-up when the last lizard falls, then he sets to work trying to converse with—and free/heal—the caged humans.

Girzog will drink two of the potions, unless there is reason in the party not to. The rectory makes most sense I think.

Deep within the temple lies a truly unholy site: a pinprick in reality where Ydersius once reached through reality to sire a demigod thousands of years earlier. Here, the temple’s high priest and Ydersius’s blessed descendants gather to pray and make sacrifices to their god. For the occasion of Spent Coils, they have captured an incredible prize to feed the serpent god: The Azlanti general Krahnaliara Lac Suhn. Lac Suhn managed to kill one priest in his struggles, but he has finally been restrained and is ready for sacrifice as the Pathfinders arrive.

Some heavy presence within this massive, domed chamber claws at the chest and weighs the air itself down. Strange glows emanate from the cardinal points of this massive, circular chamber. In the center of the room, an elevated, spiraling staircase entwines a column of stone, atop which sits an altar.

The temple’s high priest, the ancient and twisted serpentfolk cleric Xassvissec, utters prayers over the chained form of the Azlanti general Krahnaliara Lac Suhn while preparing the sacrifice. Various serpentfolk and reptilian abominations touched by Ydersius’s divine nature stand by to witness the rite.

The serpentfolk look shocked as the mass of Pathfinders enter their sacrificial chamber and move to attack. "You can't sssstop usss now! One utters out in broken draconic. While the rest of the pathfinders deal with the leader one of the priests focuses on your group as it quickly begin to shift and form into multiple copies.
