And thanks for GM G for covering the next round :) We'll go over options again after this, but I have a couple in mind!
I played By Way of Bloodcove yesterday, that would be nice after this one (provided everyone is at least lvl 3). After that I was thinking of the Scions of the Sky Key series, so I have got you covered for 5 scenarios including this one ;-)

![]() |

Raevin won't be... sigh

GMG |

Then maybe just the Scions of the Sky Key serie: that is tier 1-5 ;-) We can always get back to Bloodcove after that.

"Remember me?" he says as he rises from his somersault with dueling sword raised to strike.
Nice cinematic imagery. :o)

![]() |

Saitama's eyes glare as he sees the horde coming up at them.
"Monkeys..."
"... why'd it have to be monkeys?"
Ah, memories of that great questionable first assignment.

![]() |

I don't know if anyone has played a monk before, but i'm undecided between a few feats for 3rd lvl.
Bleeding attack: 1d4 on unarmed strikes.
Pro: living enemies die faster
Cons: if you need the KO enemies later they could have died from internal bloodloss already.
Crane style: boosts defence.
Piranha strike: power attack, but for light weapons (which unarmed strike is considered)
Pro: 2 extra dmg
Con: - on attack rolls on an already 3/4 BaB class.
Other suggestions?
Now that Wyeth's on about the monkeys, i read back on that mission this weekend, fun aplenty.

GMG |

Why don't you take weapon finesse? It gives you a +2 on to hit and more if you take the dex belt instead of the str belt. You can then later take piranha strike to be able to lower your to hit bonus for damage. Or you can take piranha now and finesse later.

GMG |

I have already played 10 of the scenarios you offer, so I didn't put myself up for consideration.
You might want to switch Devil we Know IV and Risen of the Sands, the latter is not an easy module and you break the Devil we Know series where that is not necessary.

I've been prowling recruitment boards for a while, hoping to add a game or two to my list, but just about every new adventure path or PFS sequence gets over a dozen submissions. Seems there are a lot of players looking to get into games, but not enough GMs. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and GM something myself.

![]() |

Yeah, I was extremely fortunate -- with both of my PFS PCs -- to fall in with a great bunch of folks who were about more than "just this one scenario." But they've also both bounced around various story lines (Wyeth for example started off with a dash of monkey mayhem, jumped to goblin goodness for a while, then eventually settled into this arc.)
Trying to land an arc or AP or full-season run from the get-go's probably tougher than just nabbing whatever you can. (The latter being how I started with Tuich; I just wanted to dip my toe into PFS so I'd know what it was about.)
Is there some sort of certification or officialosity involved with GMing a PFS game? Or rather, getting started with same?
(And, thanks for posting the run link here, Marduk. If I weren't already at capacity I'd probably take you up on it.)

![]() |

Officialosiy: nope. You announce in recruitment you're going to host 'X' and leave a (determined by you) set amount pass to get applicants.
Though after hosting a certain amount of PFS games, you gain an oficial GM star. Likewise, on gameday you can get boons, i got a sylph racial boon i have yet to use.
You just need the scenario you wish to run, most of them have the chronicle sheet within the pdf itself.
And you're welcome.

GMG |

Nothing needed to GM, any fool can do it ;-) If you have questions: ask away!
I think the current lack of games is (partly) due to online gamesday 3 recently being completed and most GM's ran a couple of games in that. I know that I bit of a bit more then I could normally chew. I am still busy with a module that started in November and have just finalized my run-through of the Shades of Ice series. I will start something new, but that will be after I have finished Fangwood Keep.

![]() |

I haven't gotten to play either of the We Be's yet but, based on how much fun I have running my pseudo-goblin vitalist and how enjoyable Frostfur Captives was, I gotta think it'd be a blast.

GMG |

Wyeth, please check in here
Anyone else that hasn't done the We be goblins modules? Follow the link, I can seat 4 in total (including Wyeth), first come first serve on the condition you haven't played them.

![]() |

Wyeth peers a few posts up in the discussion. "Coulda sworn I just said I was at capacity..."
Still, given the We Be's use pregens and it's pretty light-hearted stuff, I suppose I can squeeze it in. And I certainly don't want to disrespect our most honorable GM who graciously created this opportunity.
So... *cringe*... I'm in.
Anyone else from this group who hasn't had the pleasure? It'll be as much fun as... as... a barrel of monkeys. :op

Missed that you said you were at capacity. We can postpone the start, I haven't made this a public recruitment yet.

![]() |

No, let's roll with it; given the kind of game it is, I can manage. Plus I have another that'll be ending soon, I think.
You're going to have fun Wyeth, trust me.
Of that I have no doubt, Marduk. Of that I have no doubt! :o)

Guys, I am away on a little egg-hunting vacation until Tuesday. Do not expect any posts before Wednesday.

![]() |

Just a quick update on my status:
My father in law is having triple bypass surgery on Tuesday. I will be on the road traveling on Monday, at the hospital on Tues. and perhaps home by Thurs or Fri. depending on his recovery. During that time, I will be posting but times and frequency may be weird or spotty. My apologies in advance.

![]() |

My schedule changes to night shift starting today, so my posts will mostly be in the morning (Eastern U.S. Time). Today I may not get a chance until late night.

![]() |

You know.....wouldn't it be a cliche gag if a Tian guy would be inside that golem, going banzaii?
Imagine advertising; ever wanted to be a combat mech in PF? Play this scenario now!
Just saying ;)

![]() |

Hehe... yeah, that's pretty much where my mind went straight away.
Wyeth, you just made mewasteuse some time googling that ;-)
Definitely time well spent. We must know our heritage, else we can never fully appreciate moments like this.
(And if you don't know that reference either: Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness. A fine horror movie send-up and one of Bruce Campbell's crowning achievements. Goeth thou forth and watcheth it!)
This... is my BOOM STICK!

GMG |

I will be out of country until May 1st. Do not expect any posts until then. We will resume normal service after that.

A staggered creature may take a single move action or standard action each round (but not both, nor can he take full-round actions). A staggered creature can still take free, swift, and immediate actions.
Restricted Withdraw
If you are limited to taking only a standard action each round you can withdraw as a standard action. In this case, you may move up to your speed.
I think you can withdraw while staggered, moving up to your speed.

... Coruscating Curve Bladed Cascade of Decapitation...
Benson, it's good to see you picking up a bit of that Saitama Spirit. :o)
A huge, huge "Thank You!" to everyone for your patience with me over the past few weeks. I'd cleared all the time hurdles at work and was just about caught up on all my games Saturday before last... which I guess jinxed things. An "emergent issue" (that's the official term, honest) sucked me back into the maelstrom for an additional fortnight.
At the risk of jinxing myself again: I should be clear of scheduling problems for a good long stretch now. I'd cross my fingers if that didn't make typing so tough...

GMG |

Well done guys! Those last attacks did it for you.
Succes conditions:
Primary: The PCs defend Azlant Ridge from the attacks
of the charau-ka. Check
Secondary: The PCs minimize the damage dealt to the archaeological camp by the charau-ka by striking quickly, recruiting allies, and defeating the Anghazhani Champion as quickly as possible. The PCs perform
two the following three conditions:
- allow the Aspis Consortium agents to enter the camp, Check
- defeat the first two waves in seven rounds or less, and Not sure, probably made it, since you aced the next one I did not check
- use the Azlanti Monolith only to fight the Anghazhani Champion (with the exception of any charau-ka the monolith might kill as flavor-based collateral damage as it engages the Anghazhani Champion). Check
Chronicles will have to wait for a bit, I won't have access to a printer until Friday (home printer broken and not at the office until then). Here are the contents:
You gain: 1 xp and 2 PP
In tier (1-2) Gold: 515 gp
Out of tier (Benson) Gold: (1282+515) / 2 = (1797)/2 = 898 gp
Items on chronicle: Scroll of cure moderate wounds (150 gp)

GMG |

Are you all up for the Scions of the Sky Key Trilogy? I have played it in PBP, and GM'ed it face to face and it is a magnificent trilogy. It is a tier 1-5.

GMG |

Marduk: did you know that the season 4 special (Race for the Runecarved Key) will be held in Gouda on July 19th?

GMG |

And before I forget:
Can I get day job rolls if you have them?
@Marduk: that's a pity, it would have been nice to meet you in person.
