Hello guys,

I want to start a season 1 run and as such am looking for 3 brave adventurers, 2 spots have been reserved. 3 scenarios from season 2 will be mixed in, as well as a module i've wanted to run, Risen from the Sands, a lvl 3 adventure where you go exploring a pyramid.

Requirements:
-A clean slate PC, aka 0 XP
-1 post a/day minimum. Weekends & holidays not mandatory, but cool if you can. I check the boards couple times a/day.
-You're in this for the long run. It gets you from 1 to 11.

Other info:
-Roleplay is a big plus, it's half of the fun.
-Open recruitment until the closing date.
-Recruitment runs till Thursday, April 2nd and selection will be announced friday April 3rd.


This sounds great! I got started with PFS some time ago, but it was hard having a new party show up every time, since you had to reintroduce yourself again. Having some continuity would be welcome. I can promise at least 1 post a day, and usually 1 or more posts on the weekend.

What classes/roles are already accounted for?

Actually you can play any scenario once as Regular and once as Core, which is why I brought it up. So if you run them as Core I can play them, but not otherwise.

Huh--I have a 0 XP Cleric of Erastil, one that can de-fatigue rager types and give ranged attacks a boost (and can do ranged attacks decently herself). Count me as interested.

Liberty's Edge

Here's my Tengu monk for submission.

He helps out others in melee at first, but I'm aiming him to be able to take out more on his own around level 3. Still working out his gear before we start.


I'm quite interested and I have so many characters that there are plenty I'd like to throw into the ring. I'll give you a list of 0 xp characters that I'm comfortable to run with.

Jack Riverpoint Paladin of Lymnieris 1st level:

Raised in a brothel in Varisia, Jack was given the bastard surname, Riverpoint by being born near the river. He and many of those who lived there followed Calistra and when he came of age he was expected to perform for any paying customer.

Jack never felt too good about Calistra and was raised by a kind mother with a warm heart, only working here as the only way to keep a roof above his head. This did not help as one night a killer took her from him. Filled with rage he took to the streets and disguised himself as a female to attract this killer. Eventually he confronted him and killed the man, but despite his teaching the vengeance wasn't enough. It wouldn't bring his mother back and he soon found himself defending the other women in the brothel, becoming a guardian angel of sorts, but sticking within the limits of the law.

He was confronted by a dream of Lymieris, a angelic creature who told him that he had a place in the world, defending the innocent and the lusts of the body had their place in this world. He is to spread the word across the world whilst defending the innocents. He was told how he would face prejudice from other holy warriors due to the taboo of the sexual expression, but if no one breaks convention then things will never change.

As he saved up his funds he decided to leave the Brothel. At first the owner was not too pleased with this, but Jack made a point that he was to become a warrior for justice and will, as his honour dictates, send funds and support to the owner. This pleased the owner enough to help support him on his journey to the Pathfinder Society and contacts within for the Silver Crusade.

Nimon Ellalldral Monk (Hungry Ghost Monk) 1st level:

Raised in Kyronin, near the Blighted Woods of the Demon Lord Treerazor, he had experienced his people being killed by the cult of the demon lord. His parents were also victims of this monster which just added to his hatred and he took up time trying to learn battle with weapons, however he never got the hold of most.

As he grew older he got close to a young half-elf woman who had suffered in the same way. Life started to turn up as he began to work farming and doing small tasks around town, until one day there was another attack and his love was a victim. Jumping into a rage he killed his lover's killer, who laughed and taunted him as he died.

Looking for somekind of way to gain power quickly all he heard about as possible suggestions were to give himself to the gods or pass the test of Starstone, but one night a dark cloaked stranger had entered his home.

Pulling back his hood, the creature appeared to be a serphantfolk who explained that if he wanted power, his god would wish for his servitude. If he agreed, he would be gifted with a power many would consider taboo, but he promised the power, when it has grown, would be enough to kill any godly being. He also mentioned the society known as the Dark Archive who hold many artefacts deemed too dangerous to exist any longer. A item they possess is a god-killing weapon and if he were to attain enough prestige with them, he could become all power and bring Treerazor down.

The next day he awoke with a strange power inside him. He also found a holy symbol waiting for him that he has taken to following and praying too. Although he has a feel that what I carries with him is a evil presence, he believes he can control it and submit it to his will.

Julian Underhill Magus 1st level:

Julian was raised in the once-absent city of Omesta. As a elf child he was abandoned due to strange circumstances as his parents one day disappeared, but was raised by Gnomes who lives with the others up in the trees above the city.

Being a elf was not easy as he grew bigger than the Gnomes and at times had to do a lot of climbing when he grew too big for makeshift elevators made with baskets and rope-engineered set ups. However, when he showed magical blessings in the form of a few basic spells like Prestidigitation, a popular spell amongst Gnomes that he too used to colour his hair and eye colour randomly.

Once this was witnessed by other Elves, they contacted an academy to help him hone his talents, which became a massive pain for the lecturers for he would not sit still, continues to play pranks and where as the other students had their hair in a fashionable and comfortable look, wearing tidy and pleasant uniforms, he would come in with his hair altered at various lengths and wild colours. His uniform always looking dishevelled like he only just got out of bed and even wearing prohibited items like badges, gems and other jewellery.

However, a half-elf tutor managed to take him under his wing and focus his energy into a style that only very few gifted Elves have, the way of the Magus or Spellcraft-and-Swordcraft specialist as written in the long and drowning out ancient language of the elven tongue. This tutor had also introduced him to Milani and the Pathfinder Society's group, Liberty's Edge. Though he was a radical at this place, he had a few lovers here and there. Some who wanted to be different like him and others who were attempting to make him more of an Elf and has grown up to be very open romantically with many women, usually with a preference to Gnomes.

Yolanda Vislinskaya Rogue (Knife Master, Scout) 1st level:

Once a noble in the nation of Brevoy, she was never one to fit into the Lady role for society. She would often like to train in small daggers with her father and the family weapon master, however her life ended when her family was attacked and she knew that she would be targeted for murder or worse and fled to the south with a help of a few loyal servants to the River Kingdoms.

Her training with the blade was helpful and she managed to learn to use her sneaking tricks to earn her work during the night and in the day she would take up work as an exotic dancer, which disgusted her on a level where these lower men would often attempt to touch her, but she needed to put up with it as these customers would pay more for a little touch.

It wasn't long before someone tracked her down. A young half-elf confronted her in private, explaining that she knew who she was and that returning to her land would be suicide, but Calistra was on her side as long as she took up her mantle. Ontop of that, she needed to join the Pathfinder Society to gain the resources she would require to one day reclaim her family's land.

A group that would be more than willing to help nobles in similar situations was the Sovereign Court. As she agreed to this, she left her loyal servants the majority of her money, but she held onto some items of her trade to travel with and take part in many of the future adventures.

Lord Joseph Wraitheart/Julia Blackflame Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1st level:

Life as a Noble is not always a easy one. It can often be a horrible experience if your family is not the goodly sort.

Joseph was the second son in his family and after the death of his mother the family became rotten. His brother would abuse him and when his father found out, he merely supported the older brother and would take part in his constant abuse.

For years he suffered, but made sure to dress up well whenever they had visitors so that he could be married off to another family, but his mind always wondered and he never appeared too focused on matters that nobles considered important. However, one day he was given a helping hand.

One night after a long party there was a visitor in his room. He believed it to be his brother or father again, but instead this was a woman. Her skin was red like blood with long black curled hair, much like his mother's hair. Her pupils were that of a Goat she had large black horns.

It appeared obvious to her that she was somekind of demon, possibly here to kill him and he welcomed that, but instead she laughed.
"Boy, I have not come here to kill you, but help you instead." she smirks, offering out a hand to him. Joseph looked around the room and then back to her.
"This isn't a trick?" he asked and at that she shakes her head
"No, I wish to help you." she begins "I have watched you for many years, but only now have I grown powerful enough to help you deal with your family, but you must promise me to devote your life to my mother and convert this place into a hidden temple to her faith." at first it appeared he was scared, but then he heard familiar footsteps on the way towards his room and nodded quickly. At this, she smirked and nodded her head. "Let me take your hand." as she says this, he grasps her hand and he falls asleep.

He wakes up to hear her laughing and finds himself nude and covered in blood. As he looked around, he saw his father and brother were dead and not only that, their faces had been horribly disfigured by the blade in his hand, his father's rapier. It was clear he was covered in their blood and he looked around to see the demon again, standing in the corner of the room with a smirk on her face.
"You don't realise this, but you have a gift. Now, I have contacted my people so get dressed, ready for their arrival. They will help you get rid of these bodies and then get my new home ready, but for now rest. You can sleep comfortable from now on." she states as she approches him and gives a dark smirk. "My name is Julia. Julia Blackflame, daughter of the mother of monsters."

After that night, Joseph found himself helping convert the basement from a old storage area into a temple to Lamashtu. Some of the people who would sneak in were Gnolls or mutated humanoids who answered to him and Julia. Whenever he asked her if they had seen julia, they would simply smile and claim that in their dreams she would give them their new orders.

One day, Julia wanted more. She wanted Joseph to go outside and join the pathfinder Society's organisation, the Sovereign Court, to help support his funds and that of the cult. He would also be able to gain a way to perform some transport between lands and increase the spread of the faith over the world.

May i say i have a swashbuckler in another small PFS group who's quite efficient (vs living enemies primarily, lol), that class is nifty even at lvl 1. Cool pic btw.

Submitting Kazur the Wayang alchemist. His Bombs could be problematic until level two, but it shouldn't be too big a problem.
Also, what happens if we've done any of these scenarios? Because if we got no credit, we'd be behind the rest of the party which could be a problem later for qualifying for scenarios. And we can't just be awarded bonus XP just to keep up, so what happens?

Edit: I will likely multi-class with something like Ranger or Fighter or Paladin. Probably about 2 level of wizard for every level of fighter-type. For a 1st level wizard, he's got some fighting moxie, for when the spells run out. He'll tend to use most of his 1st level spells protecting himself (Mage Armor and Shield) anyway.

He's got a long-term goal of becoming something of an elven diplomat.


@ Alynthar42, since recently, Tieflings are no longer PFS legal. You'd also have to register as a PFS society member via 'my account' at the top of the page.

@ Demolitions Master Kazur, unless you've played any of these scenarios for credit with another character, there's no problem. If you have already done so however, then i'm afraid you're going to have to skip this one.

My mind has gone blank...hmm...only two other games I can think of and neither one was in Absalom...

GM Chyro, I am building a Keleshite Paladin of Sarenrae, a native of Qadira,

inspiration:

The inspiration for the Paladin is from one of my favorite movie characters from my childhood. The Sean Connery character from the movie “the wind and the lion” (cause really, who doesn’t want to play Sean Connery). He plays a Berber nobleman turned brigand fighting a losing cause against European imperialism.

the Keleshite, an arrogant desert people, will naturally fit the character, as will the scimitar using servants of Sarenrae. His backstory, a young merchant noblemen who is saved by a cleric of Sarenrae and he vows to follow her. Since the first scenario {Citadel of Flame) starts in Qadira, it could be an easy fit. He will probably use two archetypes: Warrior of the Holy Light, another good fit for a follower of Sarenrae and either Shining Knight or Divine Hunter, depending on the characters focus and traits.

Since the Berber brigand is named Mulai Ahmed er Raisuli I will come up with something as grandiose, but more appropriate for Golarion.


A quick question, is it ok to refurbish the trait blood steed to reflect a Keleshite desert nomad tribe?

What's the plan if a PC dies and the player does not have a PFS character of comparable level with which to continue playing? Can a player play out the rest of the adventures with a Pre-generated character? Or will you recruit for an appropriate level PC?

I ask because I don't currently have a stable of high level PFS characters I could draw from if this character dies after 3rd level.
