sweet!
so, serious question for everyone: How are you all doing in light of this pandemic we have the pleasure of living in? Are you doing ok? have any issues that you might need some help with? Or are you managing?
i know, it's a little buzzkill to read this question on the forum here, but i felt i should ask just to ensure that my players are doing well.

Well work has come to a total halt for us. My job is a rental car company for an airport. With everything going on no one is traveling. We normally do 400+ cars on a Monday and today it is only at 112 when I came in. There are some days this week that show we won't even break 100 cars.

Loxley Geralt |

I hear you, I'm doing okay, by the wifey is having some troubles at work because of it. She works at a trade show display seller and they've had a number of clients cancel orders since shows are getting canceled. I'm in public utilities so things have been normal... so far.

I live in that good 'ol US epicenter, Seattle, so been home two weeks, and now the kids are home for some time. Honestly it's just taking getting used to constantly video chatting with coworkers to have discussions. New territory, it's probably good that this once-in-a-lifetime event is forcing some companies to get remote-friendly.

Zeldana Dardlara Amaria |

So, my work finally did it. They laid off all of us save three. I was lucky to be one of those three. Though now I have to pick up the slack of the jobs we normally have three other people in. It won't be too difficult because they numbers are very low as well, but I did end up with more days at work so time will be needed to adjust.

Zeldana Dardlara Amaria |

Yeah they let us all know Friday. They came to me about two hours before I was to get off shift and told me that the night shift wasn't coming in and asked if I would stay till 10pm... when I got here at 7am. I told them I'd stay till 9pm, however I wasn't prepared for it and man was I worn out...

Zeldana Dardlara Amaria |

Okay, that's why that scene you gave us didn't have as much reaction from me as it should of. I did some homework when first I got into this game as Zeldana was a local. I actually knew the Sheriff's first name...
I know what most of Zel's money will be spent on... Well as long as she feels guilty for it...
Also I'm fine with the name change! Just want to be clear. Nothing against it! And I'm heart broken that Hemlock is dead...

Yeda Wolfspirit |

hey everyone. I am going to be afk for a couple days. Helping kids finish up school. If not by saturday, then monday at tye latest
Please don't feel any pressure. Real-life first. We'll be here.

Loxley I feel like we should be playing good cop bad cop but I don't think either of us have it in us! XD
Man I wish I had my 6th level Parton spell! Blood Biography would come in great help for those dealing with the bodies. Sadly that is still three levels away.

Yeda Wolfspirit |

to give you all a heads up, next week i will be going camping for 5 days, monday through friday, so ill be afk from here during that time.
Yup, through today, and when one returns from camping there may or may not be gear cleaning after, definitely some resting after the drive/ride, etc etc :)

Loxley Geralt |

*facepalm*
I completely forgot about his camping trip.
I feel like an idiot.
In my defense the board did do that to me once.
Nothing for a few days then one day I opened it and 'bam' it says I missed several posts. I'm pretty sure it was something to do with my cookies or something on my end, though. Just wanted to check. :p

Nah, don't sweat it. It can be hard to track paused games sometimes.

hey everyone, im back.
yes i was gone camping. and resting. and then finding out my kids were getting incompletes in three classes and learning that summer school started the monday we went camping which occurred after we had already turned in the school equipment because we never received word from the school that the kids were getting incompletes, so it's lead to this whole CF of stuff...bleh.

Zeldana Dardlara Amaria |

That sounds about right for our public school systems.... Really any school systems. The private school I went to till fourth grade wouldn't help me with my dyslexia and was even bold enough to send a letter home with me saying it wasn't my reading that was the problem but my spelling. My stepdad, who raised me since I was three, came into my principal's office and snapped at her "You can't spell the words if you can't f++#ing read them!" Not surprising to say that they moved me to a public school soon after that. And got me a tutor for my reading. However I did have a problem with the public school system right after I moved schools and had to do summer school to catch up but I actually missed the first couple of days because the letter for it got lost in the mail.

RIZZENMAGNUS |

yeah. i grew up and went private for 11 of my 12 years of education. was really nice. my one year of public was....unique.
now, as a parent, i have experienced what can be said to be a bad school district, and a decent one. the one my kids are in now is actually pretty decent. It's not super awesome, but it's a hell of a lot better than the one they were in before we moved. My biggest issue with the old school district was when they said my son would never learn anything beyond a 3rd grade level. We ended up moving while the kids were halfway through 4th grade, and as new students to the new district, the district performed testing and developed a new plan for my son. They said, and i quote "...that last school district gave up on your son. Your son is capable of learning up to and through a 12th grade level."

Zeldana Dardlara Amaria |

Yeah sadly most schools with little to no real income make more and more cuts to try and save themselves money. So they'll find students who need a little more work put towards them and for lack of a better term, cast them aside in the 'why teach the stupid?' way. Which is stupid in and of itself because... It's school! You go to get less stupid! *Sigh*

Yeda Wolfspirit |

Hello all. This is an FYI that I will be in the wilderness and away from computers (and so unable to post) starting this Thursday morning (7/9) and returning Sunday evening (7/12), in US/Pacific time. Feel free to bot me as needed during that time.

Yeda Wolfspirit |

I would add botting instructions, but I think Yeda is pretty simple to play (feel free to disagree, I can write something up).
She doesn't use rage as often as should could/should so use up those rounds as you see fit.

Yeda Wolfspirit |

lol, use those hero points at least :)

RIZZENMAGNUS |

sooooooooooooo yeah. apparently i got my weeks mixed up. I am going camping today, and not next week like i thought we were. Was going to make a posting today about how next week im going camping, and was going to see if someone wanted to SubDM for the week for you guys while you did your "downtime" interactions while resting. Instead i woke up yesterday to the wife saying "alright, let's get packed for camping"
so i guess if someone wants to step up and be the DM for this next week, starting today and going until next monday, July 27th, thatd be awesome and would earn that person a free reroll on any roll. The only immediate issue to be resolved is clearing the mayor's name, and i can send whoever DMs a PM about that little bit of info. Otherwise, everything else of going about town, resupplying, purchasing new items, etc is pretty easy.
Also, Everyone can go up a level.
Sorry about the mix up on my end guys.

Sazzat Tamm |

I am going to go through the effort to summarize the treasure we found in the catacombs this week.
I've got some irl stuff that's come up that will limit my attention this week, otherwise I would volunteer to DM for a short time.
