Clement Twice-Born |

Clement rubs his chin and considers what just happened to Bibic.
"Brave, brave Bibic. Kissed the feet of a runelord mural. Did he get disintegrated? Or teleported somewhere?"
Clement takes a few steps up and looks for the ashy remains of Bibic.
"If it was disintegration, it looks like his gear disintegrated too. And the shard he had..."
Clement pauses for a moment.
"Wait... could that shard even disintegrate?"

Bibic |

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22
He then reads the word written in Thassilonian. He does not read it aloud - just to himself.
Thassilonian is one of my known languages.
What is the light source? I'll cast Light as needed.

Clement Twice-Born |

I assume Spasi will share that with us.
Clement sighs, waves his arms around, and gathers the courage to follow in Bibic's steps.
"We should hurry. Who knows what danger he may be in wherever this took him!"
Clement kneels down and relucantly plants a wet one an inch from the location where Bibic did.

Spasi Gaten |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Spasi does, indeed, share the knowledge he gleaned from the effect.
After Bibic, then Clem, prostrate themselves, Spasi follows as well, giving the wall a salacious kiss (with tongue).

Spasi Gaten |

Spasi puts his tongue back in his mouth, standing up and looking around.
"Hey Bibs, whatcha find? Rowboats, huh? No man in a canoe?"
Spasi, who can read Thassilonian, reads the word.
"Interesting. Think that's the way back?"

Bibic |

"Could be. Or maybe there's another exit further on. 'Farewell' is what the word says." he advises the non Thasselonian speakers.
"Either way, I think we try the boats. Two by two?"
Bibic checks the boats and climbs in one, ready to push off into the unknown.

Rhesus Ghawn |

Rhesus sighs as his companions disappear, then shrugs and also kisses the feet.
He arrives with his companions, surprised they are not dead or on fire or some other horror.
"Guess we're rowing then?"

Spasi Gaten |

Spasi gets into the boat with Rhesus, taking the back so he can steer.
"Where are we going? Bibs, have you a sense of things?"
Going to L3 on the new map, I think.

GM Fanguar |

Getting into the boats you slide out into the still lake, across the way you see another stone pier that leads to another tunnel. You slowly begin to make your way towards it.
As Spasi pointed out, there is a new map up. Based on posts, I'mm assume Bibic and Clement are in one boat and Spasi and Rhesus are in the other.
Suddenly the dark water around you erupts an several pale, snarling humanish creature latch onto the sides of your boats.

And just like that everything is murdered. Everything is arrow punctured and skull crushed. Super splattered.
The six large stone chests are packed with rotted meat. You recognize bits of boggards and troglodites among the fetid heaps of carrion. In one of the chests you catch sight of a glint and whomever has the intestinal fortitude to rummage around in there finds 20 tourmaline worth 100gp each.
Spasi notices a glint of metal on the back of the throne and finds a large mithril plaque covered in Thassilonian text which reads: A gift for my mistress Sorshen from her humble servant Ayandamahla, dedicated this celebrated day, the 25th anniversary of her ascension to rulership in Eurythnia. Present - Runelord Sorshen, Ayandamahla and her daughters Ashamintallu and Erixandallax, Lor & Lady of the Burning Bright, The sisters of Charming and Delectation, and the Baron of Calamites, along with all slaves, servants, and supplicants in this, the Lady's Light, May she reign unchallenged forever. He gathers his arrows and replenishes his quiver from his pack. He then helps row.
