Meliandri Chastain-Aulamaxa
Wonderful. Would Mels, by any chance, have seen him at the opera, whether or not she recognizes him by name? (It's not likely she would know his name, but possible.)
Meliandri Chastain-Aulamaxa
Huh. You played Finn. I was Niall in that game for a while, until I decided I wasn't a big fan of the system. Between that and some real-life events, it seemed best to drop out.

Fhingle will jsut follow along since you will all become his friends
I hope so! Though Saul does think you are a little creepy right now...
Meliandri Chastain-Aulamaxa
I mean, the hook at the protest from the player's guide is pretty effective, from Mels's previous experience, but pre-existing connections are good too.

Fhingle thinks you remind him of his former master, who used him as a mind slave, to channel Hellish entities through, so they could wheel and deal.... so ya haha
ha ha ha!

@ Mels - Small world. Glad to hear things are going better for you! I had trouble with that system too, had to keep looking stuff up and eventually dropped out. I'm open to pre existing connections too.

Starting next week, my posting rate is going to drop down to a hard 1/day at best for a few weeks. The computer lab I monitor at the school I work at is going to be used for testing and I won't be able to use my computer during that time due to the extreme security rules the testing company has.
Meliandri Chastain-Aulamaxa
Fhingle, I'm not intentionally avoiding you, I promise. Mels is just busy.

I hope that halfing isn't our new player and fhingle is letting him die on the floor. :)
Salonius Barradin
Is Salonius able to get any results from his day spent researching the weaknesses of Devils in the Alabaster Academies libraries? If not I will just notch it up towards training for putting a point of 2 in Knowledge the Planes on level up.
Salonius Barradin
Great, thanks, honestly that is about the best I was hoping for. I figure when he takes a rank he will try seeking out information on whether any devils match Ghenemal's(sp?) eyes.
Foxy Quickpaw
Your roll wasn't bad and with devils being common around Cheliax it would be silly to leave you clueless about the obvious stuff.
For Ghenemal you'd be challenged though. Either you find a better place to research, or you roll really good. Once you have a few more ranks. DC to identify her only by the eyes would be around 25.
Salonius Barradin
Seems more than reasonable, afterall he is not even sure she is a devil, just making an educated guess.
Hope raiding the Prof's hair dye is okay, in game that is, the +5 is for it being a minor change - was hoping Peeko could act as a mirror and tell him if he had missed a bit, etc., but no such luck!

Professor Lidia Glenell takes a book from the shelf en passant and sits down at the table. Taking a sip from her glass of pinot noir she flips through the pages.

:D :D
So Saul probably knows what the "Dottari" are, but I am not sure. Just standard footmen of the Chelish government?
Foxy Quickpaw
Jhens reason might be that he wants his job back, which is put off since the opera is closed to the public?
I was mostly thinking of Saul jumping out of bed as he notices that Meliandri appears on the protest trough the ring. But he was faster than Meliandri.
But it's just a prompting to write something more than "Oh I go to the protest". Since I'm still afraid the game might fall into the "what is the next encounter mode", now that we're in the actual timeline of the book.
Just state in game what's your reason to join the protest and make your appearance there.

I hope it is obvious why Saul is there by now, but maybe only obvious in my head. He has seen bad stuff going down in the city, which is his home and which he loves. He is starting to talk against it, in public and in private. Basically I am slowing turning him into a revolutionary since we started. He doesn't approve of this method of protest and knows a guerilla methodology is the only one that will work. He anticipates violence and wants to be there to save lives but not raise his own weapon because he knows it is foolhardy. I don't think I will spell all that out in game because he has been building to it all along
Foxy Quickpaw
There is a minigame in the book here where you can influence the crowd by supporting one group or the other. I don't want to add the rounds and actions and stuff. But if you're interested to do something to change the run of events, let me know, and I'll tell you if rolls are needed.
If you're all fine with watching things unfold, please tell me here, then I'll give you some info that comes from only watching and move things on.
Salonius Barradin
Well Salonius is planning to try to distract the guards with a hidden Peeko shouting insults and a silent image of some sort in order to give people time to flee. But that seems like it might be after supporting if things go wrong.
Saul Gibson

I don't think Saul would put himself out there like that at this point. Confessing to Salonius is one thing, but he wouldn't do it front of a crowd.
Foxy Quickpaw
That's ok. I just need to know if I should get you time to influence the crowd in one way or another or if I should move on to the action. It would be a shame if I wait for you, and you for me.
As of now, I assume Saul and Fhingle are just there to watch.
Salonius, if you want to affect something, you'd have to tell me what group are you trying to drown out and give either a bluff or an intimidate roll. But you could also simply do that for RP reasons and watch.
Salonius Barradin
No, can't justify it in character - he is a pretty cautious fellow, and none of his spells have a long enough duration, was going to use message, but although it is 10 minutes per level its only 1 target per level.
Meliandri Chastain-Aulamaxa
Feel free to move the game along. I don't have the time to run out a serious post at the moment.
Meliandri Chastain-Aulamaxa
Out of curiosity, are you going to make maps for everything, or just the ones in the book?
