Gina casts 'passwall' twice (once using my bonded magic weapon) to create a tunnel from our chamber to the chamber with the nice disks.
Gina then casts 'message' on everyone, then casts 'invisibility sphere' to hide everyone.
"Stay within 10' of me, and keep quiet. Lets go see whats in the other chamber."
Lets go into the next chamber using my tunnel. We can squeeze 2 people per square through the tunnel so we don't break invisibility.

EndlessForms |

Gina creates a new tunnel leading to the other chamber.
The walls and floor of this square chamber are fashioned from massive blocks of stone, and the room is laid out like a small shrine; across from the entrance stands a low table bearing a stack of reddish metal plates stacked in a loose pile. A luxurious carpet bearing geometric designs stretches across the middle of the room. In the rug’s center is a three-foot-high marble pedestal holding a dark polished stone sphere. Thassilonian script of inlaid gold encircles the sphere at its base.

Ezrek peers into the room and translates the Thassilonian. "I proclaim my eternal devotion to the everlasting realm of Haruka, to the power of sloth, and to my runelord. I shall use the powers over my servitors to serve greatest Krune.”
Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

If Ezrek doesn't point out any traps or dangerous things of note, Gina will approach the alter.
Whisper to everyone "You think that is a passkey of some kind Ezrek?

EndlessForms |

Ezrek tells the other what he has heard in his head. "Ah, just touch me and repeat it. I can give you power. All I ask in return is that you vow to use the words of power to see Krune awaken. I promise dominion over planar creatures brought here to serve, all in exchange for a simply promise of fealty." "I fear some sort of curse or possession if it is touched. Any thoughts?" Ezrek will get out and slot his clear spindle into his wayfinder.

" The plates radiate a strong conjuration aura of magic, so it makes more sense for these to be the real plates we are looking for."
"I'm not sure if the sphere is magical and if it radiates enchantment magic..let me take a closer look. If it is linked to some other school of magic the chances that it will try to dominate us is less..and if it isn't magic then it might be possessed by some sort of spirit."
"I can cast a magic circle against evil, but that will only prevent us from being mind controlled if the sphere , or what is inside the sphere is evil."
Casting detect magic again and taking a closer look at the sphere.

"The last time I was told to repeat a phrase and refused, I was almost burned alive in a forge. NOT a pleasant memory. Do see if this is simple ritual, which could protect us, or something more nefarious, if you can tell."

"Big brother always tells me to gain power when I can."
Gina approaches the alter. She places her hand on the disks, and quietly says, "I proclaim my eternal devotion to the everlasting realm of Haruka, to the power of sloth, and to my runelord. I shall use the powers over my servitors to serve greatest Krune."

You are instantly branded (random place and moves around every 1d4 days unless you have another magical tattoo) with a dark image of the Sihedron surrounded by arcane runes which seems to move, like water trapped beneath two panes of glass.
A character marked with the lesser version of this arcane tattoo receives a +2 profane bonus on attack and damage rolls against creatures brought to the Material Plane via a conjuration (summoning) effect, and gains a +2 profane bonus to AC against attacks from such creatures. Lesser versions of this mark exist, which grant +1 profane bonuses on attack and damage rolls and to AC against summoned creatures instead.
You will receive this boon for free on your chronicle sheet.

""It is indeed a magic sphere, it's radiates conjuration..not enchantment.""
Ceric watches Gina to see what kind of effect the sphere has on her.

![]() |

The new tattoo superimposes on the other Sheldon brand Gina carries.
"Well, that felt different," Gina says examining the new tattoo. [b]"Looks like another magic property was added to my tattoo."[/b[
Do I feel especially dirty? aka. need an attonement for this?

More power is always good !I agree.
Tolgarov moved to the alter and Said
I proclaim my eternal devotion to the everlasting realm of Haruka, to the power of sloth, and to my runelord. I shall use the powers over my servitors to serve greatest Krune.

"Heh. I'll do it." He puts his hands on the disks and repeats the phrase: "I proclaim my eternal devotion to the everlasting realm of Haruka, to the power of sloth, and to my runelord. I shall use the powers over my servitors to serve greatest Krune."
He steps back and looks around at the others.
"Won't be the worst mistake I've made. If it is a mistake."

![]() |

"More power could be useful....of course swearing eternal devotion to something might be......bad. We will see."
Ceric will also place his hands on the sphere and say:"I proclaim my eternal devotion to the everlasting realm of Haruka, to the power of sloth, and to my runelord. I shall use the powers over my servitors to serve greatest Krune."

Ezrek gets a look of astonishment on his face. "A tattoo? I've always thought of getting one of those!" He roll up his fight sleeve, exposing his arm. "I always thought of getting an alembic put right here. What do you think?" Ezrek will then move over an do the ritual, if Gina thinks it didn't turn her wicked. "I proclaim my eternal devotion to the everlasting realm of Haruka, to the power of sloth, and to my runelord. I shall use the powers over my servitors to serve greatest Krune."

Sounds like everyone but Batty is doing it then?
This dark image of the Sihedron surrounded by arcane runes seems to move, like water trapped beneath two panes of glass. When gained, the brand melds with the largest existing tattoo on your body (or the one with the highest caster level if you have other magical tattoos), otherwise it moves every 1d4 days to a randomly determined location elsewhere on your body.
You will receive this for free on your chronicle sheet after completing the ritual. No atonements needed.
Grabbing the plates and heading out then?

Yes
Another tatoo was added on Tolgarov tatooed skin at his greatest joy.
Cool ! less better than the previous one but still usefull.

" Tolgarov still has that nice ring..so he could try to get an invisibility sphere going if we want to try to leave unnoticed?"

" Tolgarov still has that nice ring..so he could try to get an invisibility sphere going if we want to try to leave unnoticed?"
Gina already put up invisibility sphere up for this floor. Probably break once we figure out how to get to teleport back to the first floor.

EndlessForms |

@Gina: acid but you already befriended him
So is invisibility sphere up now? As you guys exit the chamber with the plates you need? Just making sure before we move on.

![]() |

The sphere lasts 1 minute/lvl (so 11 minutes for Gina?)..so the question is how long did we take going through the passwall and looking at the plates and sphere?
If it's like 7-8 minutes we should have enough time to get back to the door frame which put us here if we just walk along the north wall and see if we can get back through it while still being invisible...I think

EndlessForms |

When did Gina put it up? If it was before you were searching both rooms you probably only have a minute or two left. If she put it up during the search/after the first room you have plenty of time left. Although a minute is still quite a bit of time.

![]() |

After she cast passwall, right before we went through..so we only examined the room with the sphere after it was cast..so plenty of time.
Ceric whispers ..let's start moving people back towards the door frame.....silently"
Unless someone has a different idea?

I thought we were going to go through the passwall again and walk our way out the lower tunnel, so that even if the proteans noticed us walking away invisibility they wouldn't care too much. Miscommunication I guess.
Darn. Would be a perfect time for a wall spell.
At least they won't be making sneak attacks anytime soon with our backs to the wall and us invisible.
Assuming the invisibility sphere is still up, Gina casts haste on the party.
She then whispers to the party, "I'll hold position here so the invisibility spell isn't broken. Reform the line at the other tunnel if they don't block it off with their bodies.
Out of curiosity, what gave us away? Did we loose a stealth vs perception roll?
Gina's AC is currently 36.

EndlessForms |

It wouldn't have mattered. They would have stopped you either way and their Perception is +20 so even with invisibility it was going to be really hard to get past them. They beat the minimum stealth on the first round of stealthing.
